  1. First name: Kirby City & State: Madison, SD Do you currently walk the majority of your rounds: Yes. 80% Do you use a push cart now, if yes which one: Yes. Sun Mountain V1 speed cart (older model)
  2. I understand course markers not being perfect. Another example. Yesterday I played with a guy who used a range finder. My Grint GPS said 95 yards to middle. His laser shot 105 to the pin (in the middle). I really like the app, I like it's connection to the GHIN, I like the data tracking, it doesn't suck my battery life. But 10 yards is club change or at least a swing change difference.
  3. Name/City State: Kirby - South Dakota How Often do you Practice Putting and How Long? Practice 2 times a week about 20-30 mins each How many 3 putts do you average per round? 3 What interests you most about Exputt from what you have seen or read? The interface seems pretty straight forward and interesting in terms of the touch points on the putting mat. Adjusting your read and line through pressure or getting a low view through pressure seems creative. I am interested to know how the video game slope lines will work, since those are not real life. My biggest concern, just like other simulators is that difference of space from where you put the ball to when the sensor picks it up. The depth perception/distance is what is going to be interesting. Also how will it do on carpet? Will it sit firm enough? How will that effect the roll of the ball? I love this concept, and all the data it gives you. Any time you can practice putting is good, I hope it translates to improvement on the course.
  4. I have used The Grint for a few years now and generally like it. I had a GHIN with my club already and I added that, so now I dont pay my club that fee, which is about the cost of the Grint app. I'm struggling with some accuracy issues. Some distances are not lining up. I have my ball at the 150 marker on the course and the app tells me 140-143. That's significant at that range. Visually, I like it. I also like the stats. I play a lot of golf on my own, because my schedule is very flexible, so having a buddy with the app to attest my rounds is very helpful. I'm not good enough or have a desire to be embarrassed in a tourney by fudging my numbers. As any issue with a phone, you need a connection. To allow the GPS to settle in, takes a little bit so a range finder would be a bit quicker I assume. For the price, its good. But I've been considering a rangefinder for accuracy concerns.
  5. I I agree! I have a cart bag with a push cart. Finding that good fit is a challenge, unless you buy the cart/bag combo.

  12. I was lucky enough to win the grand prize for the Masters round of the #SpyStaffSlam year long contest. The prize was ANY set of Wilson irons custom built to my specs. This probably won't be a great review, for that I apologize. The "challenge" I had was last fall I was custom fit for a set of Mizuno JPX 900 forged irons, so I wasn't in the market for a new set of irons. However, I needed to get my 12 year old son a new set as he's outgrown his junior set. I was trying to figure this out for some time in terms of what to get him, senior/ladies/reg flex, a teen set, length and all of those things that had to be figured out with a pre-teen, not to mention that he's a lefty. So I opted to use this chance to get him his irons (yes, I was very jealous - my first real set came from Kmart). After looking at all the incredible choices Wilson offers I settled on the C300. These are beautiful irons for sure, and I elected not to get him the forged as the regular ones, as far as I researched, seemed to have some more forgiveness. The challenge now is what to do with length, lie and flex. I do not live close to a fitter so I had to take the static measurements, and research online. I decided to go with the XP90 regular flex shaft as it seemed to be on the lighter side for, but also a regular flex so he can continue to grow into them. The stock length of these irons is long (7 iron is 37.5" compared to my standard length of my JPX 900 which is 36.75"). So I had them cut .75" short, which made them just .25" shorter than my set. He still needs to choke down on them, but they're more manageable. To compensate for his height and the length of the clubs, I had them set at 1* flat. For grips I got him the standard wilson grip. These are beautiful clubs! He was ready to go hit them right away and so we went out. It will take some getting used to for sure, but it will come. So while I cannot give you a full review of performance, the process was simple and they were shipped quickly and to spec. He is now set for this year and many to come and I am so looking forward to playing golf with him and my daughter for many years. Thank you My Golf Spy and Wilson for the amazing prize! It's the closest thing to winning the lottery as I'll ever get.
  13. I won a set of these during the Masters contest. I ordered them for my son as his first non-junior set. I'm jealous happy for him. Good luck all, they look amazing! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  14. I think in theory it's a good idea. However not all of us, me included, live near a fitting place. So it would be a challenge. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

  19. I'm at the same point. I just discovered this app and am really intrigued. For $150 it seems like a cost effective way to get some info. They now have training plans etc. I'd love a detailed review of the current use. Sent from my SM-G935V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  20. I am pretty confident that they are rubbish. That's what would make it such a great test. Sent from my SM-G935V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
