  1. As long as it's at a reasonable volume I love music on the golf course. Helps break up the monotony of a slow round. I have a buddy who is always looking for an excuse for this bad shots, and loves to blame it on someone's music. Funny thing is though, he'll then put his airpods in to tune everything else out, so apparently it's only other people's music that bothers him?
  2. Qi10 fairway woods, 3 and 5. They have been awesome so far. I highly recommend. Just ordered some Sub 70 wedges, 54 & 58, also. Excited to give them a try.
  3. Fair point. However I believe Jordan's most recent DQ was from signing an incorrect scorecard, not an on course rules infraction. I absolutely get that a PGA Tour event is different than a casual round. I guess what I was more referring to was that they all seemed to dance around making any actual decision or even a firm assessment of what they thought. In my experience with rules situations the resolution comes much easier when those involved are straight forward with what they saw and where they think it would have crossed, etc, even if it's just a best guess. Probably in this case calling the rules official in was for the best, but even then he didn't see it and so will rely on their accounts. And in this case it seemed like even then it was harder than it should have been for him to get anything concrete out of them. Maybe just the fact that the landing area was blind made it hard for anyone to give a definitive answer, in which case they should each just give their honest assessment of what they think. And ultimately, I guess that's what happened. The process just seemed really drawn out. But it was a hard one, that's for sure.
  4. My first two 9 hole scores just posted last night from the men's league I play in. First impression is that they seem a little inflated. I am guessing that the algorithm will need some tweaking over time to get more accurate. I guess we're in the data collection phase now. I like the idea, especially considering it never seemed like the combined scores gave a fair assessment of an 18 hole round. Playing conditions, course conditions and just day to day fluctuations in play had too much variation for 2 scores from different days, weeks, months, etc to give an accurate differential. It will be interesting to see how this new system works out. In the short run, I'm expecting some inflated handicaps..
  5. I thought it was a bit ridiculous how long the conversation took. I understand that all 3 of them want to make the right call, and I get Spieth's interest in protecting the field. But 3 grown-ass professional golfers who watched the shot and know the rules should be able to make a fairly quick assessment and determination on where it would have crossed and what is a reasonable drop. In a practice round, or a friendly match they would have felt confident with a decision in a matter of a few seconds. Quick conversation and evaluation and they all 3 would have agreed with little doubt.
  6. Here is a link for pre-ordering one. They are supposed to ship mid-April https://store.golfpride.com/store/golfpride/search?Ntt=reverse+taper&utm_source=rt_email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2024_reverse_taper&utm_content=pre_order&elqTrackId=79917d4430784394824fb15909adf7fd&elq=5da84774d6bd4f488a945890a807820c&elqaid=703&elqat=1&elqCampaignId=588
  7. I just got the Qi10 LS, as a warranty replacement after the sole cracked on my less than 6 months old Stealth 2 (which was a warranty replacement for a Stealth). After having two TaylorMade heads crack on me in less than a year's time I was considering giving the Paradym a go. But I have been thoroughly impressed with the Qi10 so far. It has been very forgiving and extremely accurate. And it has been long for me, noticeably longer on mis-hitstoo. While it is nice that it goes straighter, it's also not as easy to move one way or the other when I want to.
  8. Tiger dominated the game for 20+ years. He won the US Open playing on a broken leg. He won the Masters, major #15, in 2019 after a lot of people had written him off. And his career is not over yet, although it's been a while since he finished a tournament. How many guys playing on tour today grew up wanting to be like Tiger? How many of them are playing golf because of Tiger? He changed the game of golf and the PGA Tour would not be what it is today without him. Jack didn't quite dominate in Tiger fashion, but he invoked fear in his competitors much like Tiger did. Along with his 18 majors he had 19 runner-up finishes in majors. He had a much superior Ryder Cup record to Tiger. He changed golf too and helped establish the PGA Tour as we know it. He left a strong legacy, and one that is much less tarnished than Tiger's. It would have been fun to see them play head to head. They were both easily the best player of their time. Hard to choose "the best" so I'm not going to.
