What's your range routine?
QuadBogey replied to ncwoz's topic in Lessons, Drills, Mental Game, and Fitness Tips
I start with a small bucket (27 balls). After warming up with my PW, I go to 7i or 6i, then driver. Then I generally alternate shots with the remaining balls, e.g. driver, 3h, wedge. However, if I had bad round previously I will work on my long irons (usually the culprit!). Then I move to the practice green or bunker and work through the 40+ balls in my shag bag. I was playing the Links golf course (it’s not really a links course, but good layout) at San Destin,FL for the first time yesterday. I was having a horrible round - way over handicap, but managed to salvage something decent out of the last 5 holes. Last long shot of the day was from 170 yds to about 8’ with my 3 hydrid (choked down a bit). Tap in the for the par. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

That was one of three that I saw that day. Fortunately, they are relatively small, maybe 6 feet. Haven't seen a huge gator in probably ten years. But I still get nervous when I am alone on the course. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

Parents, when did you start your kids?

Both my girls played in middle school and 4 years of varsity in high school (two trips to the Florida state tournament). Unfortunately, they stopped playing competitively afterwards. I wish they had got into golf a little sooner, like 4th or 5th grade. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy -
Walk most of the time, but sometimes it's just too hot in Florida. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
