  1. I have been following your reviews referencing this shaft. Very much want to purchase a couple of the 75 gram shafts and test. Have played XCaliber shafts on/off for many years(mainly FW shafts). To date have never had as much success as I had with that classic rt spin wedge. I had a Wishon wedge/xcaliber spin wedge shaft that I wore out several years ago. Have never been able to duplicate the spin I got from that particular combo. These new iron RT models look good.
  2. I think they need to keep focusing on brand recognition/visibility. Sign more top tier professionals and ensure the weekend golfer/higher hndcper has a solid club offering (I think they do). I still have a D200 fw that can keep up with anything newer I have bought or custom built. I remember the 70's/80's when they were common and well thought of (absolutely loved their persimmon woods/fluid feel blade irons). But how many times since the 70/80'S has that company been sold or leadership change? Competition is tough, todays markets are a challenge. Ping is a model of consistency but again same family/ownership, top quality products and business models. Wilson has an iconic W/S emblem/logo and should really continue creating brand recognition for todays generation of golfers >> having shows on Golf Channel, get their image out in front of consumers all the while producing top quality club offerings. MGS testing I think shows they have a committment to producing quality clubs. I think they are on the right path, its just going take more time.
  3. I really like the fact that the consumer and entities like MGS have identified irregularities within golfball industry. However, while a blatantly off-center core is obvious I do wish someone would identify what the precise numbers should be. For example in the video the person that cut the balls mentions "half a millimeter". I would like to know what is the manufacturing tolerances or what numbers would emphatically tell the consumer that if a ball is off-center x amount, then the consumer will likely experience wobbles on putts, less backspin on wedges, guaranteed side spin off irons, etc. I just want to know which brands are repeat offenders and which ones are in family regarding acceptable specs> (i.e. there may be some variances but not enough to worry about). I have played many versions of Callaway balls over the last few years and have no perceived issues--granted my swing/game is not the best to base that on but for me all is well. I do expect companies to produce the best product available and am very thankful for MGS and its testing.
