  1. My Darkspeed X is making its journey from Carlsbad as well, and has not again been scanned since May 1st. Assuming the same thing @GolfSpy MPR, it’ll be scanned once it hits the Madison distribution warehouse. Hope you get an update soon!
  2. Well, calling it a day after 9 holes as just about everything that could go wrong did on my way to the worst 9 hole score I’ve posted in a calendar year. Fight to see another day.
  3. Good morning spies and happy Saturday! Gearing up for a 7:30 dew sweeper round currently. Temps are gonna start in mid 50s and the sun is trying to shine through the clouds. Hope everyone has a great day!
  4. I think a few more small pockets would be a fantastic addition as well. I currently put tees in the mesh pocket on the inside of the rangefinder pocket and keep some miscellaneous stuff in there when I have it on the cart since my rangefinder is magnetic. However, when walking I will need to use that pocket so then it is one less spot. I think a great spot to potentially add another pocket on each side would be on the outside of the two larger storage areas maybe? Would look pretty good IMO with the rainproof zippers.
  5. I would imagine that with proper care and wiping it off like you mentioned, that shouldn't happen. I am curious on GGs recommendation for proper care when it comes to cleaning the bag. Dirt so far has just wiped off with a damp towel, but potential sweat stains are a different ball game.
  6. I can definitely see where the full length pocket would come in handy. As someone who owns their own golf cart and primarily cart golfs, it isn't a huge deal for me. I also love the symmetrical look as it compliments my slight OCD related to certain visual stuff, lol. I am coming from a bag that had no velcro patch, so I was just happy to see one included. It definitely is on the more compact side, though, from a prior bag that had a more rectangular shaped patch.
  7. @GolfSpy MPR the rest of the afternoon, thinking of all the ways FedEx in Troutdale did him wrong.
  8. As you guys have been putting the bag through it's paces and highlighting things that you've enjoyed so far, have you had any moments of feeling like the bag is missing something or leaving you wanting more?
  9. You bet! Those midnight golf gear scrolls get the best of all of us
  10. @CFreddie loved the video with Calvin on the virtual fitting and approach they take to those! Thanks for doing that!
  11. To be fair, the Sim 2 line was the best release Taylormade has had in multiple years IMO for drivers. Haven't hit the Qi10 much and I know our testers saw good things, but those drivers were really darn good.
  12. Good morning all and happy Friday. to @StrokerAce, @Erin B & @Dead Solid Bogey, absolutely sick to my stomach reading about what you are dealing with on the health front. Hoping for nothing but reassuring news and will be keeping you and your families in my thoughts and prayers. Having been in similar situations of the not knowing and angst that comes with waiting for results, I feel for you guys. While it only goes so far, know that you've got a network of people here to lean on for support if you so choose to or want to utilize it.
  13. Same here! I am somewhat of a fanboy after getting fit for my TSi3 in fall of 2021. Didn't feel the need to move to TSr, but I know some that went from TS to TSr saw big improvements in ball speed and forgiveness. Has me thinking that this year could be a potential leap of improvement for me following a similar timeline. Time will tell, but I have a feeling we may start seeing heads pop up before too long on tour!
  14. I would be very surprised to see a new iteration of the T Series irons released this year as they just released the current model last year and typically follow a two year release cycle. We won’t see another update to the T Series until sometime in 2025, fwiw they are still listed at $200/iron. In looking at the website, the TSr line is on sale, which lines up with the upcoming driver release later this year. If you like the P790 and don’t wait to wait until later into next season, I’d go that route. Otherwise the T200 is probably most similar, and was very well liked by our testers last year as @Josh Parker mentioned
  15. All of this advice is so great, thank you everyone! Like @bens197, I am fortunate that my oldest asks to go play or hit balls. He truly loves being out there, and I love taking him out there. I play 70% or more of my rounds with him. My 4 year old likes to go, but he's just more or less along for the ride. He swings his clubs till he gets bored, then plays with the range finder or golf balls or tees in the cart and is content. I always make sure I'm never "making" them go. If they don't want to, we stay home and play something else. Same with the equipment, he wanted some high vis balls he saw in the pro shop, which just so happened to be the new TM Speedsoft balls which work fantastic for his slower swing, and he had a gift card he got for his birthday last year so used it on a sleeve. He thought it was pretty cool buying his own stuff lol. Our #1 rule has always been that as soon as it no longer becomes fun for my oldest, we go back home no matter what hole we are on. Sometimes that is after two or three holes. I never want to leave the course with him feeling frustrated or disappointed. He actually played a couple 18 hole rounds with me last summer, which as a 6 year old I thought was incredible. He takes holes off if he wants to and then jumps right back into it. He's already been asking when he gets to play 18 again this year, and we've played one 9 hole round and then jumped out on the course for anywhere from 3-6 holes on some random evenings since we live right there. @KC Golf for us it is usually a kiddy cocktail and hot dog at the turn! I always manage to sneak some treats into the cart for surprises as well .
  16. Great posts, and thanks @GolfSpy MPR for linking the junior clubs threads. I couldn’t find them for the life of me. The WPGA Junior Tour here is fantastic. Very small fields for sure, but all courses are within a 15 minute drive of our house. As we are nowhere near really competitive golf and truthfully I want to keep him out of that for as long as I can, things that make it fun are what I’m looking for. There’s lots of time to compete, and I don’t see us ever doing the big national junior events. @Girldad18 thanks for the insight!
  17. I either haven't found the thread yet, or realized we don't really have a thread that focuses on junior golf and those of us who have children who play the game with us, are just getting started out, or are playing competitively at the junior level. I would love a place to have those kinds of discussions here on the forum. My boys, ages 7 and 4, both love to join me on the golf course. My 7 year old has done two years of the First Tee program at our local club, and will be getting into it again this summer in a new age group where they start to work more with clubs in hand (the first couple years were developing movement skills associated with the golf swing, which I thought was FANTASTIC). He has no formal training on a swing, and I don't know enough about it to try and coach him, but he's developed some pretty good ball striking naturally and is hitting most of his drives straight and anywhere from 75-90ish yards. He's currently 4' tall and weighs 52 pounds. This year will also be the first year he gets to compete in the PGA Drive, Chip and Putt contest, which he's very excited about. We are also going to sign up for a couple WPGA South Central Development Tour tournaments in July. These are all things HE is choosing to do, as I made up my mind a long time ago that I'll never force my children into any sports or events they don't truly want to do. I am really excited for him to get started with these programs. He currently uses a set of Tour Edge HL Junior clubs for his age bracket, and with his height, they should fit him for a couple more seasons. At that time, I'll be considering the next step up of the Tour Edge clubs, or potentially switching to a USKids set. I really like the looks of the PING Prodi G clubs as well, but think we will wait till further down the line, if at all, for those. I'd love to hear from those of you who have children playing junior golf (looking at you, @GolfSpy MPR ) on how they got started, what events they do or practice they partake in, and what clubs and equipment you've found you really like and some to avoid. As someone who didn't start golfing until his 20s, it is all uncharted territory for me. Here's to sharing the beauty of this game with our children!
  18. Good morning all and happy community call Thursday! PING demo/fitting was a bit of a bummer yesterday as the shaft options for me were very limited. They didn’t have many shafts at long lengths, and about the closest the fitter could get was +0.5” (currently playing +1) and a bit too flat, but still enjoyed it. I hit the i230, i530 and Blueprint S. My ball striking was pretty subpar yesterday, but on good swings the i530s were fantastic. i230 I hit a couple decent ones but not close to 530, and the Blueprint he didn’t have a shaft to fit the head that could go past 1° upright so that was doomed to failure. Also hit the G430 Max 10k and I’ve never hit a driver so anti-slice in my life. Hit some good balls with it, but then hit three on Trackman with my TSi3 right after and all three dots on the iPad were touching each other, so it was safe to say it didn’t beat it lol. The TSi’s next competitor, the Darkspeed X I won on IG, is scheduled to be delivered Monday the 6th! Looking forward to that and to see if it can beat the TSi out. Hope everyone has a great day and big Happy Birthday S/O to @Michael.Sandoval33!
  19. I can honestly say that there is nothing I want to buy from this line. Truthfully, I didn't even know it was launching today. I think the logo was a big miss, and the cost is so high, considering I can get UA performance polos for less than $40 regularly with an outlet mall nearby plus their semi-typical 40% off for healthcare providers discounts through id.me
  20. Both great comments, and I did hit the 790 as well and it looked very good. Honestly not much different than the 770, but I actually hit the 770 further. I'm fully planning on the Aerojets for this season as they do perform well and I am inconsistent enough yet that on some misses they aren't super punishing. If I can reach the level of play I am hoping for this year, though, I may look at moving to something different next year. I've never hit a PING club before, so honestly just as excited to get to do that today as anything else!
  21. I am absolutely loving the direction this test is going! Nicknames for the putters are genius! I work at a hospital but am not a doctor, however, I am sure I could find some letterhead to send a "doctor's note" to everyone's employer once putters arrive
  22. Good morning fellow spies from a sunny Wisconsin Wednesday! Unfortunately, the sun is supposed to give way to clouds and some brisk wind later today, but temps should remain in the 60s. I have a PING fitting today at my local club, so while the weather is not perfect, it isn't rain! I am going to get fit for irons and wedges, and then am hoping they will just let me try some different heads out so that I can report back here. Looking to hit the i230s, i530s, Blueprint S and S159 wedges. After hitting some P770s the other weekend at PGATSS, I have been bitten by the players iron bug. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with my Aerojet irons, they perform very well for me and I definitely still benefit from the added forgiveness. However, I am planning to move more towards the players category with my next set down the line, so figure it can't hurt to start experimenting now . I really, really liked the smaller head profile of the P770, and think maybe mentally it could help me become a more consistent ball striker with just less room overall to miss. Should be a fun hour this afternoon!
