  1. Veering slightly off topic but strongly considering a fitting with Sub70 when I decide to pull the trigger on a new irons set as I live about 2 hours from their headquarters in Illinois.
  2. Love my TSi3, definitely going to hit the TSR even tho I don’t plan to upgrade….then again, when is an upgrade ever “planned”?
  3. Even tho I just picked up a Sim2 Max 3 wood….these might be finding their way into my bag. Have a TSi3 driver and absolutely love it. These woods have to be money.
  4. Been reading/watching YouTube all morning definitely want one BADLY but just got fit for the TSi3 in the spring
  5. Absolutely gorgeous clubs. Been reading/watching reviews on the drivers and woods all morning! Just got fitted for the TSi3 in the spring so probably not moving off of that, but the fairways are extremely tempting (even tho I just picked up a Sim2 Max )
  6. I have used eBay as a buyer and seller multiple times with golf clubs. This was before I knew classified forums on pages like MGS existed, and before the Facebook marketplace really became a thing. Whenever I purchased a golf club, I always started with looking at seller reviews, as stated above, and then I would request a picture of a serial number, if available. I have stopped using eBay lately though because of their fees. Too high for my liking!
  7. Very possible. I try to remind myself to stay wide in the takeaway, but when I started golfing I REALLY came over the top and would hit some mega slices. I have a hard time feeling my swing path, so that could definitely be that I was just getting way too over the top. If only it was easy to feel the "out to in" path! haha
  8. I am playing a round this evening so if my playing partner arrives on time to the driving range (50/50 chance ) I will have him record it and post it. Head on and down range view? I used to fade/slice woods almost all the time, so I could very well be rolling my hands trying to get square and am maybe just completely shutting the face down. I also tend to miss to the right (as a lefty) when I overswing, so maybe I was doing that and not realizing it.
  9. Over my last couple of outings, I have been snap hooking my 3 wood on almost every shot and also hooking my driver (not as often or severe as my 3 wood). My typical shot shape is a fade, so this is new to me. It really hasn't been an issue with my irons. I am sure it all comes down to my swing and my hands, but I am wondering if anyone can provide some insight to set up that could be affecting it also? When I use my 3 wood from the tee, I set up to it like how I would set up to my driver. Should I not have the ball so far forward in my stance? I am playing again today, so we will see if it continues. I just recently got a new 3 wood with a different shaft profile, so maybe some of it is getting used to the feel of that, but I'm not one to blame my equipment.
  10. I ground the club but it is very lightly. Ground during set up, waggle twice, lightly touch the ground and then go. When I have tried to hover a club, my driver as the main example, it FEELS like it creates too much tension in my hands and arms (i.e. I am gripping the club too firm instead of having more relaxed hands). This may all be in my head, but it's what it triggers for me.
  11. Thank you! Thanks, Kenny! Taking my 5 year old out for his first time other than driving range time. Should be a lot of fun!
  12. Huh, interesting! Based on everything you see and hear, you'd think it would have a larger impact.
  13. I picked up a TSi 3 over the winter with the Tensei AV Raw White 65g S flex shaft. It has been performing well, and when I did a fitting, the TSi 3 plus AV Raw White gave me the best results. Only problem is that with doing the fitting at GG, they only had the stock options for shafts to test. I don't plan on switching driver heads, but I wouldn't mind trying out some other shaft options. Do any fitting locations offer shaft fittings only where you use your driver head? I haven't had a ton of luck researching on the internet.
  14. I personally prefer the back 9 at my local course, so am always excited to start on 10 haha! Longer, more driver friendly compared to the front 9 as well, and the hole 1 tee shot is a 3 wood that needs to be placed well so that you don't fly the fairway and punch out from the trees. I would say it would be course to course for me, but mentally it doesn't impact me.
  15. Just picked up a Sim2 fairway wood off GlobalGolf and looking for a headcover to go along with it. Please let me know if you have one available!
  16. OP here. One of the reasons I am considering a 60* is because I have a hard time making consistent contact with my 56 with the face opened up to hit a flop. I’ve gotten some great feedback through this thread, I’m sure you’ll see some as well!
  17. Yes, I am keeping the 44 PW. I have considered exactly what you said with a 50, 54, 60, but I really like my 56. I’ve had it for a long time and we get along pretty well the majority of the time. I was considering getting the 50 GW that goes with my irons set, but after some feedback in this forum I may look for something where I can choose the bounce that will fit what I want to do with a 50 most often, which is 3/4 to full shots. I have seen the Hi Toe wedges at the pro shop of the club I play most often, but haven’t been able to hit one since they don’t have any lefties I do like the look of them though. Like you mentioned, it just has a look that I think would give me some added confidence, which is huge for me mentally.
  18. From what I've gathered over the comments on the thread, looking at a fitting is about as best off as I can be. I enjoy getting feedback from different viewpoints as it just kind of works in my head to provide me with different data. Absolutely true that a club that works for one person may not work at all for another with how different swings are. I have to drive a little ways to do a fitting, but I think it would be worth the money to not only see what clubs would benefit me most but also to get the gapping done as well. All great conversation so far!
  19. You're definitely spot on with that assessment!
  20. Thanks for the feedback! I would be taking 3/4 to full swings with a 50/52 and reserving shots around the green for my 56 or 60 if I end up going that route, so that is good information to know. I find that even on a full swing with my 56 SW with 12 bounce, there are times where I hit it way too high and don't get the distance out of it that I want.
  21. That’s good to know that they are polar opposites, all the more reason to hit multiples! The one thing I have a hard time with with my 56 is inside 50 or so yards. I do OK around the green, meaning I can get on, but I don’t have a ton of confidence in sticking it close to the pin. Especially on tighter lies. I’d like to have a club that say in that 50 and in range, I can use what feels more like a full swing instead of trying to take a bunch off and duffing it. Maybe that’s my brain just trying to get me to feed the addiction of trying new equipment, maybe not
  22. Thank you for the detail in this breakdown! I definitely need to address the gap between my 44* PW and 56* SW. I am planning on picking up the matching gap wedge for my iron set, but am intrigued by the Vokeys as well as the new TM Hi Toe 3. I typically use my 56 for everything inside 100 yards and can make it work for most shots around the green. Trajectory and roll out is EASILY my biggest challenge. Often times I leave it short because I’m afraid of skulling it, or I will skull it haha
