Stephen, I lived in Huntsville until about 3 years ago, now I live about 20 miles south. I get into a few scrambles throughout the year and often times need a 4th! message me on here maybe we can get together some time and play.

Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf This book cover's all the "basics" of the golf swing. I thought I had the basics down until reading this book, I then realized that I had several huge flaws in my setup and swing. This book is great to reiterate the basics. It has me playing the best golf of my life. I would recommend this book to anyone who maybe once took lessons when getting started and may need a refresher to knock out some bad habits that may have been developed over time.

Great tip. I played baseball 6 months out of the year for my entire life until college. The single hardest thing for me to correct in my golf game has been trying to CRUSH the golfball. This has been the first year I have relaxed the grip and taken easy full swings, best golf I have ever played.

How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? I have been playing since graduating college in 2015. I currently average in the mid 80s but am improving every year. Arab, AL - about 20 minutes south of Huntsville AL. No real home course, i try to play different places regularly. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best: you are able to get a few rounds in during the winter, and people stop golfing in the fall because of football. Worst: Jean shorts. What do you do for a living?
