🚨 Testers Wanted! 🚨

TWSM10-Feature.jpg

The new Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges were released in March of this year and have been a popular addition to many golfers' bags since. We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges.

About The Vokey SM10 Wedges

MyGolfSpy Staff member Tony Covey has a complete breakdown of the new SM10 wedges here , which is a must-read, but the shorter version is Vokey SM10 is focused on three key elements: versatility, distance control, and trajectory, and maximizing spin. The Vokey SM10 lineup has six different grind options for a total of 25 different loft, bounce, and grind options.

This includes the M Grind that had previously only been available through WedgeWorks and T Grind that has also made its way to the retail market. The other options that a golfer must choose from are the finish, and the SM10 has three of them: Tour Chrome, Jet Black, and the new addition Nickel.

There’s more though; the Vokey SM10 has refined the shape and CG placement to help optimize distance control and trajectory. This works in tandem with their spin-milled grooves that have groove geometry that varies depending on the loft to maximize spin for each loft.

Titleist Wedge Selector Tool

Of course, all of this can be a lot to take in, so Titleist offers an online Wedge Selector Tool to help simplify things. It is a series of eight questions which gather various information about your current setup and game to help make the best recommendation on what setup would be best for you. To try it yourself, go here!

What Is Being Tested?

As previously mentioned, we are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. We want you to tell us how they perform in real-world conditions and play. Importantly, we also want to know how the Wedge Selector Tool works and if the recommendations are what you would normally expect.

The selected testers will go through a Titleist Fitting for their wedge set and see how it compares to the results from the Wedge Selector Tool.

Think you are the right golfer to participate in this test?

Have always just used the 56 as my "do it all" club within 100yds. Currently gaming VERY old wedges so would love this opportunity.

Same story! 99 yards and in it’s my vokey sm8 56 with various swing lengths and open faces.

fingers crossed!

Had Vokey wedges in my last set but decided to go with matching wedges for my new irons.  So far I just get no spin and can't control the ball on the green like I used to.  My next round I'm putting my beat up old Vokeys back in.image.png.041ba3418532a13d49f4e4510971c3f8.png

Right now I have a mixed selection of wedges but I know that it would be a great idea for me to get fitted and the best set up for me. Can't wait to get started.

I would love to jump on this. I would probably bet that I don't get picked but might as well sign up cause you can't get picked if you don't get entered right?

Would be nice to replace my older Cleveland and Taylormade hodgepodge wedges. I also would have to replace my 0211 xCore2 Gap wedge since it is lofted similar to the 48.

Good luck to those who sign up and to the chosen have fun!

I've used Ping wedges ever since they brought out the hydropearl finish.  I liked them alright until I found a Vokey SM8 next to the green.  I hit a couple of chips with it on the way into the clubhouse to turn it in.  It just felt better, softer, more controllable.  I've been looking to change out my wedges, tried Mizuno and TM and even PXG at the stores, but that tells me very little about real world perfomance.,  I've never been fitted for wedges so that would be a great opportunity to dial in my scoring clubs.

Good luck to the selected testers, looking at wedges for my next purchase, so many choices out there need to find what may work for me to improve my short game and gain some strokes back.

Here's mine, I've been looking at new wedges the past month and cannot decide on grinds.  I'll head to the store tonight and see how these recommendations look.

Had SM9 from release. Best wedges I’ve ever owned. Would like to see how the SM10’s are. IMG_7990.png.e1e3d871eb6489d577e223be86ed8661.pngIMG_7991.png.7fc4e03465d5053ef57a26b9b8f20484.png

Slowly replacing all the crap clubs in my bag. Would love to have these match my new Sub 70 on order. Not sure why that gave me an odd loft gap. Would have chosen a 58.

I’ve always wanted to have a full set of Vokeys but have never been able to get myself to do it. I’ve tried them out before and they’re my favorite wedges I’ve hit. Would love to see how a fitting for wedges would help too since I don’t have too much understanding of the different effects bounce or grind can have. I’m looking forward to hearing what people think of these!

Wow. Is this not perfect timing (hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge)?! Another great opportunity. Thank you both to Titleist Vokey and MGS. Good luck to all.

I am currently playing PXG 3x Forged, and while I love them, they just don't have enough bounce for my steepness. I think the Wedge Selector Tool is closer to what I should have. I am literally just thinking about getting a wedge fitting.

I have a hand me down 52° Mizuno S5  and 60° Cleveland RTX 3. Always liked the feeling of Vokey wedges when I try them at Roger Dunn or PGA S.S. Unfortunately out of the budget but when opportunities are available always take a chance. Good luck everyone.

I currently play with the Titleist Vokey SM8’s, 56 degree and 60 degree with 10S bounce. My biggest issue with is I am not sure my gapping and bounce are correct for my current swing. The wedges were purchased when I was a much worse golfer, so I am curious if newer wedges with the appropriate gapping and bounce will help me improve 100 yards and in!

Would love to test out some wedges, I definitely struggle with not having something to hit when it comes to those between the pitching wedge and sand wedge shots.ScreenShot2024-04-26at1_22_28PM.png.6505378587dfbfea6e5b9abf780efebb.png
