Nickb155
I have been gaming a Callaway cg11 2 dot 60 degree for the last 8+ years I had 2 of the same exact wedge ground down by a golf pro friend years ago and Its my favorite club in the bag and I love the shape but can't find anything that looks or feels like it in my local DSG or Pro Shop. Im fine with my Sand/Gap but this is the one club that has always got me out of jams when I need it. I only have one left and the grooves were shot so I took a Dremel to it last year - any of you able to give me an idea of a similar grind/shaped wedge? 60* The only other option I could think of is to have a blank one custom ground but even that requires the right starting point and I don't know anyone who does. Are you talking about the sole grind of this one? If so, Titleist will have the most options on sole grinds. You can find the SM9s for under $150 new right now. I would say maybe the S grind. TJ Hall
The Vokeys are a good choice, I love mine. I used the online fitting guide, answered a few questions and it recommended what grinds to use. Nickb155
Thanks, maybe I just need to try some of the custom vokey grinds The T Grind seemed to be the closest with the heel and toe relief but it felt like it was gonna cut the ball in half if I lay it wide open Josh Parker 1 Quote Tournament Bag, Speedline Super S 8.5T - Aldila NV 65s Super S 3 wood - Kuro Kage 70s Adams A Tour Black - S300hs Fourteen RM4 52/56 - S400 RTX Zipcore 60 Low - S400 YES! Use it for sand, flop, closed shots around the green all the time. slash25rc
I'm not sure if you are looking for more of a blade type, but the Cleveland CBX wedge lines have been very good to me! Full shots, greenside, flop, and bunker, my 58 does it all and feels great! Could always take a grinder to any wedge and make your own grind. Bopper50
I don't post as much any more, but I have to say that I have had every Vokey, Cally and TM wedge the last ten years. but 2 months ago on a whim, I bought 2 Edison @ Wedges (54 and 57) and put the VA Composites BaadAzz shafts in them. These wedges are incredible in their performance off any lie. Here in the Houston area we get a lot of hardpan and packed bunkers. These Edison 2 flat out perform, it really amazes me how good that 57 is out of a bunker, there is something very unique about the sole design to were you don't have to worry about grinds and bounce any more.
