  1. A couple of additional notes on my last post: No back pain yet Definitely have some muscle fatigue, especially in the hips, glutes, and mid back. I sit a lot at work and don't workout regularly, so this is kind of expected. The protocols require coordination and the non-dominant swings feels pretty awkward. Something interesting is happening in my sequencing but can't put a finger on what it is quite yet.
  2. Alright guys, I got it in. Cool product (I bought the masters edition one with the green shaft) and the application is super easy and intuitive with embedded instructional video. Process starts with an initial baseline test after a proper warmup (takes 5 min or so, and is in the app to follow). I'm using their radar, so I'm assuming it's fairly decent. My initial baseline was 110. I went through the first workout, including warmup. This protocol includes freezers and lead heel lifts and the app tells you how many weights, which way to swing (dominant/non-dominant), and when to swing. Afterwards you do another baseline, which for me was 112. The app then locks the workout protocol for 48 hours until your next training day. Finished my 2nd session today, which was the same protocols and weights as the first and baselined at 114, but had one swing at 118. I had already hit balls earlier today as well, so I wasn't super fresh. Anyway, I'm going to go take a shower but things looks promising thus far.
  3. It comes in next week, so I'll definitely post some feedback and keep folks in the loop.
  4. Thanks for the feedback, both of you. I ended up doing some research and ended up going with the rypstick. It will be easier to manage/transport, they had a discount on a package that came with a radar, and there is a corresponding app for Android, which was important because I don't want to tote more than my phone to the course. I like the fact that their program incorporates rest days as injury prevention is super important to me. The program itself seems super simple and like a good way to get my heart rate up. I'm assuming the app allows you to track your baseline and gains as you go, wish me luck. Lol!
  5. Hey everyone, looking for information and experiences with speed training systems: 1) Superspeed 2) Rypstick 3) Stack system Has anyone had success with any of these? Additionally, if you've tried more than one of them, which did you prefer and why? Thanks peeps!
  6. As much as I would love to go full golf nut and get a trackman or foresight, this is the way.
  7. I played my PAT at Stonebrook back in 2012 or something, it's a fun track but a bit of a hike for you. Generally speaking, I've played a lot of those courses but I'm a bit further to the east than you. I played Marcus Pointe on Easter, it was in okay shape, but we are in the early transition season right now, probably a better test of golf than it looks like on paper, much more hilly than you'd expect. The Club at Hidden Creek had a pretty good membership at one point, that's in Navarre though.
  8. First off, thanks for sharing and kudos on asking for help both here and professionally. As someone who has struggled with mental health issues myself, golf has transitioned from more of just a fun game to an active practice of the skills and the tools I need to work on off the course to manage my personal and professional life. For me that all starts with radical acceptance, and that includes the fact that I'm really not as good as I think I am, nor will likely ever be as good as I want to be. Then, it comes down to handling every shot as it comes. If I do the things I can control on every shot, if the outcome isn't what I wanted instead of getting pissed, I accept that the ball is in the woods, ob, or swimming and move on with it. It's really not that big of a deal, and can give you an opportunity to hit a killer recovery shot. Mindfulness and the practice of acceptance has changed my life in so many positive ways, and the game of golf gives me an opportunity to practice those skills in abundance. Let's be real, in this game, you have to be comfortable losing more than you win, and the only way we can do that is to just roll with the punches and do the best we can every day. All the best, and again, thanks for sharing mate.
  9. I'm a stand bag guy, primarily for two reasons: I practice more than I play and they are generally easier to get in and out of the car. Overall just more convenient for my use cases. I'm generally a fairly minimalistic person, so I don't load up the bag with a ton of stuff, some tees, a sleeve or two of balls, my rangefinder, and two gloves. I currently have the ghost maverick, but in a 14 way, and want to move to something a touch lighter with fewer dividers. I almost exclusively played ogio woode stand bags for a long time, but am a little iffy on the rubber dividers they use now.
  10. Curious to see if anyone has had or tried a Jones bag in the past. I like the simple look of them. I currently game the Ghost Maverick bag and enjoy it besides the poor decision to get the 14 way top. Wasn't sure if this three way top would good or not, but I've been eyeing this company's stuff for a hot minute.
  11. Man, I'm super curious about these shoes, but I don't have the greatest track record ordering shoes online. Are they carried at any retailers?
  12. It's the last step in their customer experience before the clubs are in play, so for it to degrade the rest of the experience seems like a big miss on their part...
  13. I agree. It's a small thing, but leaves a big impression.
  14. In a large part, probably my expectations. All three clubs were just in a club box with minimal protection, headcovers just kind of tossed in there. With the lack of packing material in there, I almost expected damage but all is good with world. It was disappointing and underwhelming as everything else with my fitting experience and all was world class, so I expected the same level of care in shipping. Opening a box containing $1500 worth of clubs, your first thought shouldn't be, "man, I hope these aren't broken."
