Best ball to add higher ball flight?
brogies replied to Nick Bickers's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
ProV1x is definitely my choice for a higher flight, spinnier ball. -
2024 Vice Pro Plus - "It Takes Balls" Campaign
brogies replied to brogies's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
I've actually found their ball fitting tool results very odd. I keep getting recommendations for Vice Drive and Vice Pro Air even though I'm a lower handicap who hits the ball far and wants a firm ball that spins a lot around the green. I should be getting Vice Pro Plus as the recommendation with Vice Pro as the secondary, but those aren't even mentioned. Also, if I'm Vice, I'd rather recommend the more expensive balls lol. -
I've been wanting to try the new Vice Pro Plus balls, but their new testicular cancer awareness campaign made me pull the trigger: https://www.vicegolf.com/golf-balls/vice-golf-pro-plus-fight-cancer.

Congrats! REALLY interested to see the results here. I’ve been eyeing these shafts for a while now. -
Testers Announced! Callaway Ai-Smoke Drivers
brogies replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
Congrats, guys! -
The closest ball I've found to the Left Dash is the Srixon Z-Star XV. Slightly softer IMO, but low spin and great distance.

I had never heard of ExPutt before so I did a little research...I didn't realize @cnosil was such a babe.

I'm interested too. Has anybody compared the 2023 ProV1x with the 2024 Chrome Tour X?
-
I probably have about a dozen used balls in my lower bag compartment with 1-2 new sleeves waiting to play and then 3-6 new-ish balls in my ready-to-play pocket. I take three of the ready-to-play balls and put one in my pocket and then two in my golf cart/push cart when I start a round.

My Ping G430 Max 3W. Thing is a bomber off the tee and easy to hit off the fairway.

I needed to switch from a blade (Ping Anser) to a mallet and went to Golf Exchange and tried out a bunch of mallets, including the AI-Ones. The Cruiser Mini was probably my favorite and it came down to that versus the TM Spider Tour. My issue with the Cruiser Mini was alignment. I didn’t feel like it was as easy to line up as the Spider Tour, which is what I ultimately purchased. The feel off the face was nice but the vertical lines perpendicular to the face weren’t really doing it for me. And the three little dots just weren’t enough for me to feel confident in my alignment. The Spider Tour has a big thick white line along with a skinny black line that made it much easier for me. I didn’t try the AI-One 2-Ball because I’m not a fan of the design, but I imagine that one would be a lot easier to line up.

Going to start walking courses instead of riding - Any advice?
brogies replied to brogies's topic in General Q&A
I just finished walking my second 18 and I'm loving it. The pace is better because I'm not as rushed to drive to my ball and hit. I feel like I can take the scenery in a bit more as well. I'll be walking once or twice a week from here on out! -
What Is Your Next Planned Golf Equipment Purchase?
brogies replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in General Equipment Talk
I played at PGA Frisco in Texas this week for a client's charity golf outing and I putted so bad with my Ping Anser that I decided it had to go. Played really well outside of the putting and I was messing around one night on the practice greens and they had some Odyssey mallets out you could try and my speed, direction, and distance control were much, much better. So I went and tested out some Odyssey and TaylorMade mallets when I got back yesterday and after about 45 min of comparing, I went with the TaylorMade Spider Tour. I love it so far. First round with it tomorrow morning. -
I love my Ping G430 Max 10K! I won longest drive at Omni's PGA Frisco West course earlier this week with it and it was slightly off the toe. It's amazing.

I'm a huge fan of my G430 Max 3W. It's a rocket launcher off the tee and easy to hit off the turf.
