I’m kind of afraid to make a change to the weights, that’s how good the putting stroke feels with the the current setup in my putter.

Rob, if you end up making a change to the weights, just wondering if it will affect the counterbalance weighting, just curious.

Lefty11, did you find the AI performed better than the SC?

I would say the Scotty was the heaviest, the AI#1 and the divine line putters were about the same from what I could tell, overall I think the AI#1 was a tad lighter but the balance is phenomenal.
To answer your question, I would say Yes, but only with the Scotty, it has the milled insert which for my game I think it hinders my putting overall. The feel was 180 out from the AI#1; I’m in love with this new technology from Odyssey!

    Odyssey AI#1 Heel putting test.
Rolled plenty of putts over the past 2 days testing off center HEEL putts from the Odyssey AI#1 putter, Odyssey Divine Line and Scotty Cameron.
The test conducted from 18ft on the patio carpet, rolls similar to the greens at the country club. The patio is mostly level, some small right to left break and smooth where testing took place.
    ·         Odyssey AI#1 – I have to say this putter continues to amaze me and make me a believer. Heel putts were effortless coming off the face, sound was soft and the distance control was very reliable compared to the other putters, no worries about hitting it harder to get it to the hole. The AI#1 kept the ball online, how a gear affect would bring the ball online with off center hits. The roll off the heel did not skid as much compared to the other putters from what I could tell, the ball started rolling end over end quicker and definitely rolled out further. Ball speed was consistent on all putts. Dispersion and accuracy were better, compared to the other putters in this test. My feeling of the counter balance of the AI#1 putter helped stabilize my hands allowing my stroke to release of the putter and assist keeping the putt online.
    ·         Odyssey Divine Line, believe it or not this OLD putter I concluded that it out-performed the Scotty, the heel putts felt not as jagged and the sound was louder but felt almost as soft as the AI#1. Distance control was a little shorter than the AI#1.
    ·         Scotty Cameron Select Squareback 1.5, heel putts felt almost like hitting a rock with a stick, the sound and feel were off, sounded clunky and felt I really needed to help get the ball rolling, feeling was I needed more effort/force to get the ball to the hole. Distance control was erratic and offline.
Below you will find statistics, Photos and of the test. The photos and videos are the best of the testing.
Odyssey AI#1 – Median average 6.5% past the hole during my Heel Test.
Odyssey Divine Line – Median 4% short of the hole during my Heel Test.
Scotty Cameron—Median 13% short of the hole during my Heel Test.
Adding that several types of ball’s were used during this test, Titleist ProV1, Callaway super soft, Kirkland, Taylormade Tp 5 and Tour response.

Yeah, I'm not one to change a good thing, but seeing as the AI forgiveness has definitely proven its claims so far, it will be interesting to learn if i can make some adjustments and improve my putting  even more. Wondering things like adding 20h or 30g to the heel or toe can compensate for my swing arc, etc

I definitely would be interested in the 30g weights. I've seen on the scotty build videos where they use 20 and 30g as their base weights
Good luck! I can't find the dang videos now!

I’ll make a decision  on the weight kit after I buy my putter.  I want to see how the 7 feels.

Yeah. Sounds like you guys are in luck then. I sent an email through the website about weights but haven’t heard back yet.

Aren't the rectangular ones for the milled putters?

Wonder if the weights are changed to different grams, the toe has 20grams and the heel 15grams will affect the counterbalancing? I would think that if changed to help your stroke, it shouldn't change the counter balance much if at all. What are everyone's thoughts?

It would be great if they would stamp the weights on each insert.

Empty slot in my bag specifically reserved for the putter.
Find it easier to get in/out as needed, even more so with the larger grip sizes.

This is a good point. And one that maybe only odyssey can answer.
I'm guessing that the inserts across each putter head design will either be different weighting to compensate for the build, or the inserts are all the same and the heads are compensating to match the inserts.
The additional sole weight options I have not found anything suggesting they are for anything other than displacement for swing path .

    All,
I should have the center strike testing done this week and will post my findings hopefully no later than Tuesday morning, since work has to get in the way of actual important stuff like testing the AI#1 putter. Hopefully sooner.

fixurdivot, I think that there will be copy cats to the AI putter from other manufacturers coming sooner then we think, will they have as much success achieving the standards set by Callaway's Odyssey AI? I don't think so, I think they will try to create an insert where they may use different material for the heel and toe to produce the same distance as center strikes, using the same thickness across the face of the insert. Your thoughts are definitely driving down the right fairway.
