  1. Good ol fashioned wet towel for me. I like all the gadgets and gizmos golf offers, but I keep going back to simple. I saw JT had a small one clipped on his belt when he was warming up on the range. It looked like it was just a simple brush without any special parts.
  2. Hey guys. My name is Ian and I live in SoCal near Ontario. I’ve really only been playing for the past 2 years or so besides a few times when I was younger. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? As mentioned above I’ve been playing about 2 years now and 1 with my own clubs. I had an old hand me down set of Wilson’s. I normally tend to score in the mid 90’s as of now. What do you love about golf? I love being outside and having a good day with friends. I’m also very competitive so that tends to drive a lot of what happens out there. I tend to be good at other sports so it’s currently driving me nuts that I can’t get better on my own as of yet. I love everything about golf now and I’m a true fanatic. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I originally came to MGS for the reviews since I knew really nothing about the game or differences in products. I tend to still stick to reviews, but I’m starting to tip toe into the forum more now. Where are you from? What is your home course? I live near Ontario in California. Technically my home course would be Upland or Marshall Canyon. I tend to try and play anywhere new that I can though because I love seeing new courses. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? The best thing about our region is probably the weather. I can probably golf 365 if I really wanted to without being too uncomfortable. The worst thing would have to be how crowded everywhere is on the normal days. Especially weekends. Greens fees are going up while courses aren’t improving and they’re actually shortening/changing layouts to add houses or other real estate. What do you do for a living? I’m currently a firefighter and have been for the past 6-7 years. How’d you pick your user name? I honestly just like a clean and simple username. I appreciate the creativity in others, but I like plain I that aspect WITB: Driver- PXG 0211, EvenFlow Riptide CB 6.0-S 60g 3h- Callaway Paradym X 18°, Hzrdus 6.0 70g Mid Spin Irons: 4-P Callaway Paradym X, True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 Wedges: Callaway Jaws Raw, 52° 10s, 56° 10s, 60° 8w, Dynamic Gold S200 Putter: Ping Craz-e C, Winn Grip
  3. Clark’s putt was tough to watch. Great ending though. I was watching it at work and a lot of the guys who don’t really get interested all started creeping in to see where the leaders were. Everyone let out a big “OOOOOHHHHHHH! NO WAY!” When it lipped out. Awesome finish. Gutted for Xander too. I was definitely rooting for him. On a downer note, Eckroat getting a 1 stroke penalty for his teetering put that ended up falling was rough to watch as well. Even Joel was right up close seemingly trying to will it in for him. I know he wasn’t the winner, but it stinks to see these rules showing up each week it seems to penalize a player, or ultimately knock them out(Spieth). Just my 2 cents though.
  4. I’ve tried a different style of this and I’m looking forward to seeing how this works
  5. This could probably end up being a thread with the most “likes” ha. You can just keep reading, shaking your head and saying “yup”, tapping the heart, and scroll onto the next and repeat lol. Slow play Ball marks Having someone hit into you(while not playing slow)
  6. This is just plain and simple a bad thing for the sport. Now another one of the top guys in the sport isn’t playing this weekend because of a silly rule. I completely understand the importance of the rules, but this is nuts at this level. Same as giving a player a penalty after the round like Collin, Rory, and Joaquin. At least a penalty keeps them playing as opposed to a DQ. Could you imagine someone watching a football game and handing out penalties or DQ’s a day later?
  7. I find this very hard to believe. At least for a complete pull out. Jordans are more popular than ever on a golf course.
