  1. I am currently gaming Mizuno Pro 223 irons P-5 with T22 wedges. Interestingly I was planning to get Ping i59s, but tried the 223s when getting fit with the Mizuno shaft optimizer. They were so great visually, for feel and on Trackman, I had to get them. Not sure if it’s the clubs, but my index is the lowest it has been in 2 years. 7.8 before Mizuno’s, currently 4.1.
  2. At the moment I carry 4, but the answer to your question really boils down to style of play, gapping and skill level. My current PW is 46 and I add a 50, 54 and 58. Several years ago my PW was 48 so I added a 52, 56 and 60. Back in the day, my PW was 50 and I added a 56 and 60. So over the years I have really carried virtually the same clubs; they just say something different on the head. That said I have a friend who has an amazing short game and he adds only a 52 and 56.
  3. Like many of us, I have tried an insane number of putters trying to find my perfect solution. This includes multiple Pings, multiple 2-ball Odysseys, multiple Spiders, multiple Camerons (Newport style), several different Clevelands, Zebra, etc. I currently game a Ping Tyne 4 which is only noteworthy because I have used it for nearly 3 years. For me it sets up well and I find it reliable on 5 footers, easy to lag and very forgiving. I am really intrigued by the LAB Mezz, but haven’t been fitted. So I guess I an still vulnerable to the urge to switch. Oh well.
  4. Definitely anti-music, but I can deal with others enjoying it quietly. This might be crazy, but I wonder if listening to certain music can be considered using a training aid. I use a tempo metronome app for putting practice. Seems to me that specific music can be used similarly. Not a big deal for club tournaments, but maybe for state and national competitions?
  5. I am definitely a walker, but will hop in a cart occasionally to be social or if it’s so hot and humid that walking is dangerous. Last year I walked on a particularly hot and humid day and got so dehydrated that I nearly passed out and had to go to an urgent care center for 2 bags of fluids. My bad, but I am now even more careful to start drinking water an hour before a round and at every opportunity during the round. I am also a calorie counter and appreciate being able to have a beer or two or a nice meal guilt-free.
  6. I am currently using a Taylor Made Flextech Lite. Have had trouble with durability of Ping Hoofer and Titleist StaDry. I play a lot of rounds and TM holding up well so far.
  7. This Peter Millar is my current favorite. Love the subtle green in some of the drinks. Peter Millar also has great shoes and blazers. Good company.
  8. I like the martini tee with the step. Not for extra yardage which claims I know are bs, but for the same ball height every time.
