  1. Do it. I use my hybrid for those low punch shots. It's a lot easier to punch down with some force to get some good distance on it without as much risk of hitting it too high in the air which is what would happen when I used to use my 4I for that
  2. Whatever is in the pocket I'm my bag. Maybe 15 maybe 20 all mixed. Those are really just reserve. I pull two balls out of a basket I keep in my trunk before I head out to practice with on the green. The one I feel is rolling better goes in the pocket to play the other gets stashed in the cart pocket. I'm not generally losing balls or scuffing the heck out of them that they need to be replaced. If I don't finish my round with the same ball I generally only need the one extra. I use a push cart so the extra balls don't bother me. Pickups go in a separate pocket for donation to the driving range.
  3. As someone who is on the fence of a broom, explain why or why not you could salvage a standard length putter out of a broom by shortening the shaft if you really couldn't get into it. I feel like the answer to everything is everything is custom weighted to a particular setup and is not adjustable for some reasoning that is not entirely clear to me. This is personally holding up me buying one because I can't figure out if I can truly commit to the #broomlife and dropping $600 on a putter that I can't cut down if I can't is truly a scary proposition.
  4. I would marry Christie Brinkley today, right now, let's go!
  5. I had that same setup with the White, but when my partner and I cleaned house in our sim league I got fit again and the AeroJet won. I wasn't totally sold on the Cobra, but I arranged a sale on FB Marketplace in order to force myself to get used to it. I played with it one last time that night and was striping it so much, even my opponents were trying to head the guy off in the parking lot to get me to not sell. Now I'm back! I should've just used that money on a new putter instead!
  6. I almost reported you to the mods for arson! that is one sick putter. Blue/White such a great color combo. Classic
  7. I have driver envy and after testing out like 7 shafts on my AeroJet I just bought a used Rogue ST Max LS from Callaway Used for 25% off during the Masters which is what I sold when I bought the AeroJet. What's old is new again, I just love the way this one feels of the face and it has a sick Project X LZ San Diego shaft that is silky smooth. Is there another thread for what have you sold lately? Because I might have another couple of posts for that one too!
  8. I ditched my 3 wood competely though it's in the closet still. I read an article somewhere either here or Golf Magazine about all recreational golfers should ditch a 3W because they are hard to hit off the ground and the distance is not much different than a driver so it's better to fill in a gap elsewhere. Which was true to me as it was a tiny gap and struggled with tops out of the fairway and really never hit it off the tee. It was a no brainer, it was much more valuable to carry a 4th wedge to fill in a big yardage gap on the low end. So my highest is my 5W and I keep wanting to ditch that too, but god damnit I just hit it so freaking well I can't. I a total latecomer to the hybrid game after showing such distain my entire life. I am now a total convert and I'd love to work a stronger lofted hybrid in there and have no fairways, but man I just can't quit my 5W. I've always loved a 5W for some reason its just like the ideal club length and loft for my setup and swing that I crank em. I have a 17 and 19 degree hybrid that I'll swap between next, but my 5W? I just can't quit you!
  9. I have one in mine with a Fatso 5.0 to really go all in on the counterbalance I have always liked that setup to try and quiet my hands and reduce twisting the face
  10. From my local simulator bar! Pimento cheese, housemade chips, Azalea, and a peach ice cream cookie sandwhich And yes it was all straight . I skipped dinner Shoutout to Tour in Portsmouth, NH if you're on here
  11. I had a set of TA1's in the flat black they were like a half inch too long for me, but god damn I probably never hit any other iron better. This was back in high school and I was rocking MP-14s at the time so it was a good transition at the time. Really bummed when my dad took them to FL and left them there. Maybe someday I'll be able to go back and visit them!
  12. A LAB putter unless I'm lucky to get selected as a tester coming up! Not sure which model, trying to figure out if I want to jump to a broomstick or not
  13. I currently have the LA Golf Tour AXS Blue 105g shafts in my irons. I think they are awesome. I actually got fit for a set of irons at TrueSpec and wasn't sold. So was like I want this shaft, let's do another fitting with only that shaft. I was able to do that because they comped me the first fitting. Super happy with them. Though I have tried the Nippon Modus3 shaft and like that too. I would probably take those next time to save $100 per club
