  1. Tonight I got home late again after a long day at work and kid’s golf club. After eating, spending some time with the wife and doing a workout, I got the new V5 watch charged up and firmware updates installed. Luckily I live in a golf community and the course is close enough for the gps to lock on here in the house, so I could play around on the watch for a while and get use to all the screens, functions, and how to manipulate from screen to screen. Got use to it the buttons and switching screens pretty quickly. I like the layup distances and dogleg distances screen! I’m pretty sure my H4 doesn’t have this screen or yardages on it. Couldn’t get a good hole view on any of the holes Here is a size comparison to an Apple Watch 7 45mm. Unfortunately I won’t get to get a round in with the watch this week. The only time I had to play was early Saturday morning, and called to get a tee time and there’s a tournament there that morning. Course is closed until after noon. Should get several rounds in next weekend weather permitting.
  2. Got home late tonight after work, meeting, and youth baseball practice. My package was waiting for me on the counter. I knew I wouldn’t have time tonight to do an unboxing video so I sat the box aside and took a shower, got the kid to bed and finally sat down for some dinner. After my wife went to bed, curiosity got the best of me and I had to open the box and check out the watch even if I didn’t have time to film it. Packed with a nice note from Shotscope, congratulating me for being an official MyGolfSpy tester Packaging is nice, here’s a look. Watch looks very nice The face is a little smaller than I was expecting, but looks good on my arm. It’s been a few years since I have worn a round watch. I’ll have to get a size comparison with the Apple Watch tomorrow I had planned on messing around with it a tad before I went to bed but it needed to be charged before it could update the firmware, so I decided to plug it up and call it a night. The charger is the only thing so far I’m not thrilled about, wish it was a usb like everything else charges off of but I’m sure it will be fine. I’ll probably have to order an extra cable to keep in my truck. Can’t wait to get it set up and try it out!
  3. One more round with the Bridgestone tour bx mindset last week. The time at the beautiful Pete Dye The River Course at Virginia Tech. Putting is still improving with the mindset focus I believe. Driver is still everywhere, can’t seem to get it figured out.
  4. Yes I just put the data into an excel spreadsheet and made the graphs from that.
  5. Good morning spies, slow day here in the sales world but still have plenty to do this week. My new Shotscope V5 watch is supposed to be here tomorrow, but not sure I'll get a chance to take it out on the course this week. Maybe I can get out at daylight Saturday morning and try it out! Lets get some things caught up around the house before I head into the rest of the week that is very full! Hope everyone has a great week!
  6. Luckily I received my 2 dozen Tour BX balls for the shotscope test last weekend, because I had nearly lost the whole dozen from the sampling batch. I really think the mindset is helping me focus on my putting and seems to be helping on the greens. I didn't feel that it was helping at all off the tee, but numbers say otherwise I guess. I know the ball travels farther in the warmer weather also but seems to be holding its own. I can't remember all of the statistics the shotscope questionnaire had on it but here are the ones that I could remember and how the Tour BX has held up so far. I still wish it was offered in a high visibility yellow. Playing by myself, I lose balls off the tee just not seeing them in the air and have not idea where they went. Driver Performance Distance - Fairways Hit: Greens Hit %: AVG Proximity to the hole: Up and down %: Putts per Round: Average score:
  7. If this is the breakdown you are looking for, its on the dashboard on shotscope.com. Go to performance, then click on scoring on the left. then strokes gained on the bar at the top. where this picture says last 10 you can change to a specific date range .
  8. Just saw your video on YouTube before I came on here to check the thread for updates. Anxiously awaiting for mine now. I think tracking said Tuesday
  9. My 7 wood is starting to be one of my favorite clubs. I played a course today that had much longer par 4’s and 5’s than I am use to and I topped a couple of drives. I ended up hitting my 7 wood 5 times today and hit 4 of them really well and got under one in the rough and skied it a tad. I am a 20 handicap so in Shotscope I set the baseline handicap to 15 to compare strokes gained to. On those 5 shots with my 7 wood I gained 2.78 shots on a 15 handicap and only lost .01 shots compared to a tour player. From someone who had taken all my fairway woods out of the bag.
  10. Date 05/03/2024 Course Name Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech Gross Score 96 Course Handicap 24 Gross Strokes over/under par 24 Net Score to Par 0 Net Score 72 Net Birdies or better 0 Longest Drive 0 Finally got a chance to play the Pete Dye course that I have lived in the neighborhood for 3 years. My dad and I had a great time. I actually scored pretty well for me. Especially with all the bunkers everywhere, I’m not use to that. Still hit 4 OB, that’s costing me shots every round. It’s a beautiful course. orange tees 71.9/134 par 72
  11. This was my first time listening in. I was on my sales route so I missed bits and pieces but caught most of it. Really enjoyed listening, looking forward to seeing what all they add to the Shotscope platform.
  12. I did find something that for me I hit really well a Titleist tsr2 7 wood. I had taken all the fairway woods completely out of the bag. Couldn’t hit them. Now I have a 5 hybrid and a 7 wood. my first ever shot with it I put on the green over 200 yards on a par 5 I still top it once in a while but it’s been by far the best fairway wood that I’ve ever owned
  13. Got another round in this week with the Bridgestone Tour BX ball. I am still really trying to focus on the mindset process while playing with these balls. I struggle with it some on the greens, especially after missing a putt, I sometimes rush up and just hit the next putt. I thought about this a few times after missing a couple putts this round. I still like the concept of the mindset routine and think it could eventually help my game. I played ok, didn't score well due to some 3 putts and blew up on my nemesis hole #18. Seems to be every week now! Driver was average all over the place, still don't see a lot of help from the mindset process Putting was not as good as previous rounds. I really think I rushed some putts and did not due the mindset process like I had planned I can't really judge the durability of these balls, because I am losing a sleeve a round!
  14. I checked it out and like some of it, but too rich for me!
