  1. For me, and I’ve always felt this way, this is the best golf logo ever!
  2. I like the technique but not a fan of the balls. I played with one of my scramble partners today and let him play them. He loves them. I think he’s damned near sold on them. He’s a lefty and we were playing in the wind. He has a banana ball flight. But with the Bridgestones, he was hitting them straight and for the first time I’ve played with him, hit som baby draws. These balls are made for him. I played the Titleist TruFeel balls for the first time and really liked them. So weird!?!? Anyway, I have a conundrum, I’m still playing the OnCore Vero X2s and am back to loving their performance, the Chrome Tour X, the ProV1 - and the ProV1/X, and now the TruFeels. I never thought I’d like the TruFeels. Someone gave me a sleeve to try, and it was windy and I didn’t want to lose my high dollar balls so I said what the hell. But I’m glad my buddy likes these Bridgestones.
  3. Worked on wind shots. Was 20-30mph so was hitting lower shots. Was successful.
  4. Played ok. 20-30mph winds so I worked on lower, penetrating shots. I was successful! I’m liking my improvement. Numbers were pretty high at the start of the season. I still have work to do. But not too bad today!
  5. Right now I’m loving the Newton Driver shafts! I just took my Velecore to get shortened and tipped 1/2”. I’ll try it out when it’s done. And I still like the Jupiter 1+.
  6. Played in the wind today. 20-30mph but I needed to do it. Hit some great, low, penetrating shots into the wind, which is the whole reason for it. My numbers are getting better too: I’m pretty pleased with the stats right now. Hope you all had a great day!!!
  7. Just bought Steadfast Jupiter 1+ bundle. I bought them raw and going to keep the driver shaft raw until I decide what head I want to get. It’s a toss up between the paradym or the new Titleist that should come out later this year. The 3 and 5 I’m going to put in my PXG hybrid heads to kinda mess around with them. I already have the tips so it will be interesting. @Derek Eskam has already started the experiment with his hybrids but he opted for two 3 wood shafts. I’m doing the 3 and 5. As a bonus I didn’t pay full price, I had a 75% discount code from Steadfast for being AWESOME! So each shaft only cost me $25 dollars. If the experiment doesn’t work I still have the shafts and can re-tip them. So no loss there. I think this experiment will be fun. We shall see. Enjoy the day Spies!!!
  8. That’s awesome! May have to look into one!!! For now my sauce tube towel is working fantastically.
  9. I try to show up 1 hour before tee time on competitive days. I like to hit a few shots to get warmed up and chip/putt. I am changing my routine to chip/putt first, then warmup balls.
  10. Hello Spies! Just wanted to let you know I updated my post to add the features for the cart I’m testing. Hope you all have an awesome Friday!!!
  11. Good Friday morning to you MGS troops! Windy today (what else is new I’m my fair city) and I’m planning on playing this afternoon. I’m hoping the wind dies down but highly unlikely. Saw a funny and thought I’d share with you. I’m pretty sure I’ve sliced a putt at least once. Anyway, watched my son’s play last night, again. And it’s still as funny as it was the first time. It’s called Chaps and it’s set in 1944 in Britain. It’s about the BBC broadcasting a show about cowboys to the troops. It’s a slapstick comedy musical and it’s damned funny. Oh, and we are battling TriCare…again!!! Hope to have resolution for the spousal unit’s surgery today. We shall see. I also have an appointment with @Derek Eskam and I’m going to learn how to tip and shorten a shaft the proper way. Knowing is half the battle! Hope you all have a blessed and great day! Happy birdie hunting!!!
  12. I have spent my fair share of time in the fescue and trees as well!
  13. We don’t have a store like that here. I see a lot of people sell them from their houses on golf courses. I don’t live on a course unfortunately.
  14. Good evening MGS troops! Getting ready for the NFL draft. Didn’t play today but got some work done, then emptied my bag of all the golf balls I’ve found in the last two weeks. I have a ton of balls, may not ever have to buy anymore again. Lots of Pro V1s. I leave the crappy ones on the course. I just ordered some OnCore Vero X1s with the pink bow and the F cancer logo. Gonna try to play tomorrow but first things first…the NFL draft and then the son’s theater play. Good evening!
  15. Squeakers won’t leave me alone! What the hell Squeakers?!? These lips are for the spousal unit only!!!
  16. Good Throwback Thursday morning to you MGS troops! I played 9 yesterday for practice, had a birdie, two bogies, and a water hazard double for a 3 over 37. I was on the verge of the first PAR round of the year. Oh soooooo close!!! Numbers are getting better. I’m really starting to like this GolfShot app. I’m learning a ton about my swing and some of the areas I need improvement on. Anyway, our son unit got us box seats for the hockey game last night! The Eagles lost but we still had fun. The drive home was a bear though! I’m still tired this morning!!! We didn’t get home till after midnight. Los poopies weren’t happy, and this morning has some pretty good wind going on. Oh, almost forgot…. Here’s a couple throwbacks for you all. The daughter unit is on the left and you can see the 3 from her number 83 on her arm. I can’t recall the Olympic team player’s name…Megan something. And this is the fam when the spousal unit and daughter unit ran the Bolder Boulder. Good memories! Hope you all have a great throwback Thursday! Happy birdie hunting!!!
  17. I only got half a practice round in today. We fell into some box seats for HOCKEY!!! Colorado Eagles game 1 of the playoffs!
  18. @StrokerAce we fell into some box seats at the Colorado Eagles first round, game 1 game! The son unit got em for us!!! The u8 kids during 1st intermission.
  19. We need pics or it didn’t happen!!! Love ya brother!
  20. This is a little better. Had a birdie, a double, and two bogies….skirted on the edge of being perfect except the double because of water.
  21. I have all the carriers apps and a shop app that tells me when I have a package on the way. Too many porch pirates these days.
  22. @SDGolf619 I agree with @Javs here on this one. I was struggling with similar issues at the start of the season, so I invested $100 to take a fitting/lesson. My spousal unit helped by finding an award winning fitter/pro and in one session fixed my swing issues. If you lived in the Colorado area I’d recommend Collindale Academy in Fort Collins; however, there are some good pros in CA. I’m sure. On the shaft aspect (the most important aspect of the club in my opinion) you jumped quite a bit in weight which will throw off torque, stiffness, weight distribution, and swing speed. That can and probably will change your AOA and face angle, which changes launch angle and ball spin. All this and more is why @Javs is right.
