Well as I mentioned in the Good Morning thread today was a somber day as a neighbor has passed but also a good day as his wife asked me to come over and see what i may want to buy. He was an avid golf club collector mainly high end putters (right up my alley) and a gun guy. Well I wasn't thinking about buying anything but wound up with TWO Scotty Tour Rats a Tour Model Laguna and a Newport 2.6 center shaft blade and iam not thru half the stuff but was broke and have to reload and go back this weekend. I could have told her any value but I'm not that guy and probably overpaid but I will be able to sleep tonight.  Anyway another update Saturday

So these pictures I just moved to a file are of myself and Kenny Olson a longtime friend and Kid Rock Lead Guitarist hitting the ceremonial tee shot at the Rock n Scramble!! This is a charity event held at Elmbrook in Traverse City Michigan every year. Kenny whom I graduated with is there yearly as his parents own the golf course!!! This event is a blur past about noon every year 🤣 and yes he actually smokes the ball about 200yds with a Gibson SG Guitar

A smooth PW well I guess in today's world that could be a variance of three clubs but a 48° smoothie should be money

Reason I asked is all the new irons tend to have such jacked up lofts and oddly enough it seems many don't know that and I chuckle when having a beer at the club I overhear a group of guys in there 50s or 60s stating how their swings are really coming around and where they used to hit 6iron they cam reach it now with 8 🤣🤣 I don't say a word

I have always wondered what it was that bothered other people about someone's attire??? I have not once in my life thought "I'm going to put a stop to this" I guess I've seen enough bad stuff that I cannot imagine sweating someone for wearing a shirt I didn't like??? Now I have told my son about a hundred times how stupid those "joggers" or skinny things they wear look though 🤣🤣 but it's all in good nature as I really loathe censorship or cancel culture completely!!!

Not picking at you at all here and iam a club member and would never wear jeans golfing but what about someone wearing jeans bothers you??? I mean iam just trying to understand? I've seen guys freak out on people for what they were wearing and I always wondered why???

They should be a felony charge period!!! They are truly vile and iam not sure why anyone would wear one !! 

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I VIEW IT!!! couldn't be written any better!!! In any sport those of us who have played it for any amount of time have seen massive innovations iam a golfer and this is true!! A fisherman and true and a competitive shooter and really true on this front and golf and only golf has held on to this southern plantation "gentlemans" BS for far too long!!! Not much gives me more joy than walking past the range at my club and seeing a 14 yr old with his airpods in jamming some godawful crap they call music and striping 3 iron stingers 260 down the middle. Well on said day as I walked by a hear a commotion and turn and a group of guys my age are berating this poor kid for his shorts and Hoodie (which by the way was a golf hoodie) they went too far screaming at a kid and iam not a small individual and absolutely hate a bully so I went out there and made the problem leave. Two days later the head pro calls me in his office and starts to "counsel" me??? I told him he best start catering to the changing of the guard and if there were anymore issues my lawyers would be his next phone call I have heard no more of it except for the new dress code allowing shorts of any appropriate nature and t-shirts and hoodies if golf applicable 🤣🤣 he must have done his homework!!! It's time we revise this archaic crap and make golf fun for everyone not just those of us who are on the clock!!!!!

Sounds to me like maybe a fitter who would listen to you would be a great start??? Have you hit the PING I210??? If you read the reviews (I have them) the feeling is this non hollow iron is buttery smooth slightly bigger profile than a blade but definitely a nice compact blade length and thin top line. Club looks great at address and its been a winner with anyone who has had them. It's a cavity back but the way they built it they got all the weight down low for nice easy launch and excellent distance for a standard lofted set of irons. The players distance irons are great for hitting the ball 600 yds but it doesn't stop the 210s fly high and stop on a dime. Lots of guys putting recoil shafts in them and you were correct the F3 is the regular flex. You may want to give them a go as I found them so much easier to hit than the 150s.  Good luck

Being from Michigan I've played some cold golf and an ice cold ProV1 is not alot of fun to hit, What we do is I have those rechargeable hand warmers and I put one in my pocket and the other in the ball compartment in my bag! Yes I like heated balls!! Lol it makes a heck of a difference and keeps me from doing what alot of guys up there do and that's buy super low compression balls like Precept Laddies or I can't remember the popular one but it's like hitting a marshmallow that goes nowhere. Oh Maxfli Noodle is the other they like. I will stick to my Amazon hardwarmers and my warm balls!!!

My thoughts are apparently exactly what your thoughts were with the exception of the distance part as I tested over two days 12 drivers in the 24' lineup and hit each one at least a dozen times and alot more if I liked it and G430 MAX 10k was the clear cut winner for me almost across the board!! Dispersion was way better than any other model, spin numbers consistent in that 2700 range and my carry distance (289 avg) was only behind Callaway AI Smoke triple diamond (293) and tied with Taylormade Qi10 LS (289) It's hard to beat the ball speed on the LS models with a Max driver but somehow PING has found a way to not only give you the most forgiving driver ever built, but one that is low spin??? Even the pros gaming this club are scratching their heads as low spin and forgiveness are not often mentioned together. Masterful job by PING on this absolute unit of a driver. Every model tested indoors and outdoors had the Ventus black 60 in them S+

Some seriously nice putters in here!!! Some people collect sports cards and some collect antiques but iam a certified putter junkie and own a bunch of them, watches is my other item i have too many of!! Here is my gamer though currently  Scotty Cameron Tour Only GSS Super Rat 350g with blacked out graphite shaft by Mitsubishi Rayon with mid size black n gold Matador grip!!!!!  I do have a couple off the rack Scottys I can part with if anyone is ever in need/want 🤣🤣

I could show you how to three jack that for a par anytime. 🤣🤣

You want launch between 12 and 16° and spin between 2000 and 2500 and peak height should be around 95ft for you to optimize the shot and I was just curious if they had mentioned you launching so low. I really think you can get another 10 yds easily if not more

That has been a VERY successful design and the alignment is the reason!! If it's not broken, buy twelve of them 🤣

Putters and watches are my addiction usually have a few clubs laying  around as well that I find at garage sales or flea market. I have a couple Cobra LTD driver and 3-4 wood and some shafts I think Oban Matrix and Fuji Speeder Evolution. This and that 🤣🤣

I have several I would never sell but when I come across good deals I like to grab them so I can pass them on and that's why I don't have them for long!! I have a Toulon and Two Scottys I'm selling right now that are in that league.

Living proof of why fittings are needed. I hit a baby draw as my everyday shot and since getting the G430 MAX 10k I can barely hit the baby draw and now have a slight fade which iam enjoying. I have to try real hard to make it go left. I did hit the SFT version of that club and every shot was a snap hook for me. I was torn between Max10k and Qi10Max but bought the PING and love it.

So when they "fit" you for a driver did they not discuss shaft options??? You are launching to low man you would get those extra yards you are looking for if you could up that launch by 4° it makes a big difference as your launch at say 15° and peak Height at 100ft rather than 11° and 75ft.     I would bet you would gain 15 yds??? 

We were hitting balls at the club the other day and five of us took turns hitting mine and purposely hitting bad shots and there is legit very little penalty but the Driver you bought is a nice stick and would be my second choice!! So when you say you are a low spin player how low??? And what numbers are you getting from the TM???
