  1. I couldn't resist the temptation as I order a 10.5 10K Max with a Oban Kiyoshi Purple Tour Reserve shaft as I love my PING BPS so why not but the rest of my woods will be Callaway. Straighter is Longer is what they say as my Ai Smoke Max D was very nice but I want straighter as I have played Oban Shafts before as I love the feel of them over anything else. The Purple was the best of the Oban bunch for me. I played the Fujikura Speeder NX Blue in my Ai Smoke Max D as it was just ok, the best Speeder I ever hit was a my Evolution VI 757 that was in my Cobra Radsped. To me they were just as nice as the Blue Vents TR with a bit more accuracy.
  2. There is nothing bad at all about the offset , these are players irons and look like players irons but has the forgiveness similar to many GI irons out there. They look fantastic and feel the same, best iron purchase I have made in the last 7 years
  3. Right now I not changing anything but the one club I see be with me for many years would be my LAB DF 3 as its true Love at 1st roll
  4. I can tell you this I chose the thinner 3 lines which in fact has made a big difference helping me keep the ball on my intended path without the push or pull. The thicker 3 lines may have been just as nice but I like when more of the green color of my putter shows as it blends in nicely against the green color of the grass, plus the thinner 3 lines are not a distraction at all. Those dots may be a nice feature as well but the lines are the width of the ball which is another reason why I pick the alignment. I can see with so many choices it would be easy to over think your decision.
  5. It was a hard decision to make at first as I almost went with the T alignment but with the 3 lines just seem a bit easier to square up the putter as I have zero regrets. The putter itself already makes for a square face impact but with those 3 lines makes me stay on the proper line when there seems to be some break in my putts which is what I also like as it so much easier on my eyes to hit the line intended to hit as my adjustment period for now is working on my speed on longer putts as that too will come as the greens on some of the courses are a bit slow due to all the rain we have received so far.
  6. I finally got out to play as I actually was expecting more but 16 putts for 9 holes I really can't complain. You see I had 7 birdie tries but only made 2 that were from 12 and 15 ft. My confidence level was pretty high but the greens were pretty slow as I could not dial in the speed. We have had so much rain lately as most of my putts were directly right on line just 1-2" from going in the hole, bummer as I was on my way to a very nice round. The feel is incredible as it's true with what they say it was Love at 1st roll.
  7. I used to walk all the time until one day it was super hot out as maybe one other group was on the whole course so I decided to rest under a shade tree and closed my eye by how many minutes later after I opened my eye there were buzzards flying over me, I kept moving after that and from then on I ride a cart.
  8. You sir are one of the very lucky guys who never had a re occurrence but for those who did I'm not sure if there even has been any. I'm just commenting on how there still must be that one batch of defects out there for people to keep posting as that is why I find it to be surprising. People would send in their club only to get it back fixed and find another iron in their set where the back plate came off. I would like to think the issue has been resolved as I know they are some very nice looking clubs and do perform very well for someone looking to get some GI irons.
  9. IRONS: It's PING as I have played PINGs off and on for over 30 years as I always keep coming back to them, 1st set of irons I was ever fitted for. My 2nd choice would be Mizuno's DRIVER: It used to be a toss up between Callaway and TaylorMade but with all of the quality issues with TM over the last few years I now would put Callaway ahead of TM, same goes with my FW's too, as my 2nd choice would be PING but with this new 10K Max is soon to be my 2024 driver WEDGES: I now play Cleveland as it has either been Titleist or Cleveland. I currently play Cleveland and have no plans on switching PUTTERS: My favorite and gamer is the L.A.B. DF3, 1st one I've ever owned. Putters are a personal thing and right now I'm loving the L.A.B. more than any other putter I've ever owned Now if I had to only pick 1 brand to play it would be PING
  10. I just went from the Evnroll EV2 with BGT Stability Fire Shaft over to the LAB DF3 with BGT Stability Tour ONE shaft as this will be my gamer for 2024. Already practicing my fist pump
  11. I just bought my 1st LAB putter and I have not regretted it one bit. I came very close to pulling the trigger on the MEZZ MAX but so glad I wait as I'm already practicing my fist pump. It is now my go to putter for 2024
  12. When buying wedges of the shelf they usually seem around 90's to 105's in weight. I couldn't ever go with that weight in my irons. I do not have any gapping issues as my irons are 70 and wedges are 95 Aerotech Steelfibers. I like the heavier feel in my wedges as it makes a big difference hitting out of the rough/sand and still wanting the height. I have always played heavier weight wedges over my irons as what makes the biggest difference is make sure you have the gaps correctly spaced.
  13. Nothing better than getting a brand new set of irons especially when they are fitted. I think by going with the P's over the XP's was a good choice. I played the Gen 4 0311 XP's with the MMT shafts as they sure did feel nice and very long as the lofts are definitely strong. You are going to love those irons until the Gen 7's come out Lol!
