  1. Took advantage of the last day of the post-aeration fees ($35) at Kapolei Golf Club, and was disappointed with how sandy the greens were over 3 weeks after aerating. That said, my run of mediocre play continued with a 91 (45/46) with 33 putts. It's crazy how you can be smashing a driver one day and then have no control of it later on in the week. My round was plagued by a variety of crap shots, but I suppose the silver lining of playing golf in Hawaii is nice. As usual, the grind continues and I'm determined to get my game back to the low 80s range!
  2. 89 (48/41, 88 ESC) with 31 putts at the course I know best on this island. The whole round was a grind, but I finished with a birdie so I was happy about that!
  3. Yesterday I hit up the short game area at Navy Marine Golf Course and worked on a variety of short game shots to include flops, short sided flops, pitch shots from 10, 20 and 30 yards, bunker shots and the trusty hinge and hold method. It was a productive session!
  4. Haha! Don't worry, I'm 'downgrading' to San Diego next year
  5. Yeah we'll see if I'm still smiling by the time I get to that hole
  6. Oh I absolutely paid for it, haha! I was stiff from my neck to my toes last night and was still feeling it this morning.
  7. #13 at Kaneohe Klipper GC. Downhill tee shot, with the ocean on the right side. Fairway is somewhat narrow and it starts heading back uphill about 160 out. I hit a solid drive that rolled out to the right side of the fairway leaving me 191 to a back pin. I ended up hitting a crispy 6 iron that I knew was good from the minute I hit it and here's where it ended up!
  8. Apparently I was on the move quite a bit over the long weekend! Friday: Fitting for the Ping Long Game Gap testing and my usual workout. Saturday: Cardio in the morning, the usual running around for kids activities and a last minute twilight 18. Sunday: Played 18 as usual. Monday: Played 18 at the same course as the fitting and worked out afterwards. I get home, prep my lunch for today and help the wife out with a few things around the house. Needless to say I woke up this morning feeling very 40, which is saying something since I'm in excellent shape. I had a great weekend, but I will be enjoying a day of rest today!
  9. 86 (44/42) with 27 putts at Kaneohe Klipper GC yesterday. It wasn't all good, but it was literally 10 strokes better and 10 putts less than my horrible round on Sunday. It was an encouraging way to end a fun 4 days of golf!
  10. Yessir! If I lived on that side of the island I’d be there entirely too much [emoji23]
  11. Posted it in the course thread, but since it had been 14ish years since I saw this view it’s worth posting again!
  12. Always a good day when the wife comes home from a work trip!
  13. We were a twosome between two foursomes so we weren’t going anywhere! Plus I’m smooth with my course documentation [emoji41]
  14. @yungkory and I had a blast today! The weather was perfect, the pace of play was perfect and we shared a lot of laughs. Looking forward to doing it again soon!
