  1. I broke 80 for the first time on Saturday morning. It was on a par 71 which is a a little * on the 79 but still it is a new personal best and feels amazing. I played at randall oaks golf course in west dundee, IL. shot a 42 on the front with 1 birdie but the greens were in really great shape and It felt more like a 39 or 40 because I got so close to dropping several more putts on that front. I started the back off with a double after messing up the tee shot with my driver and 2 putting a very tough green and following up with another bogey when an 8 foot putt lipped out. I flipped the switch on 12 and mashed the driver down the middle, put a 50* wedge from 106 to 12 feet and poured int the putt for birdie. I parred out hitting all but one of the last 6 greens in regulation with another 3 putts that were extremely close to going in. I just wish 2 of those putts on the back 9 fell in so I could have shot even par over 9 holes. Looking back there were a few bad shots that easily could have saved me some strokes, but putting saved me as i had 6 one putt holes. I couldnt believe how easy it felt to actually score like that, especially considering the front 9 was not that great.

  3. Hard numbers, data and facts. If you can prove one thing is going to do more of what you want ( distance or spin or whatever) given the same perameters then it's better. Sent from my LG-H810 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  4. I am a 12is handicap that was a 16 just a month ago. I think lessons are more important than new fitted clubs. If you are really short or tall, or your clubs aren't REALLY bad, then maybe the opposite is true, but in most cases, your game will improve more from a few lessons and some real practice. I practice or play every day and was really starting to plateau. Generally hitting the ball pretty straight with a slight fade, and occasionally struggling with a slice. Driver was the biggest issue. A few lessons and I generally play that little fade and my real misses are a blocked shot. Everything just more consistent. Plus, I think it's worth noting that the clubs are fitted to not just your body type, but your swing as well. So if you get clubs fitted, then lessons that change your swing, the clubs likely won't fit perfectly anymore. Lessons are probably a better use of your time and Money, but if you are going to buy a set, don't get them off the rack. Sent from my LG-H810 using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  6. You need to cover the ball and have a more aggressive angle of attack coming down on the ball. Try to create your hands in front of the club and have that shaft lean Sent from my LG-H810 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  7. Get on the range with alignment sticks, one pointing directly at your target, and 2 parallel about 6 inches apart pointing just to the right of your target (assuming you are right handed) align toe body with the stick pointed at the Target and swing along the path of the others to develop an inside out path. 8. Played 18 at Schaumburg golf club, hit my first ever 9 hole 40 on the front, started drinking and hit a 49 on the back. The 40 had me motivated so I went to my home course, prairie landing and hit my second ever 9 hole 40 on the back and a 42 on the back while soaking wet in sweat and rain and dark, while running with a pull cart to set my new personal best at an 82. Even parred the hardest hope after getting attacked by a bird on the tee box. Sent from my LG-H810 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  9. Same setup here, I've been thinking about adding a 61 or 62 Sent from my LG-H810 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  10. Driver. Just to much inconsistency. Killing my scores Sent from my LG-H810 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
