  1. Hopefully the Smoke Max D (high MOI) will give you what you need. I tried the 425 and had the same thoughts as you. It wasn’t really any better than my g400 and then we enter the “there still has to be something better out there” mindset. Wishing you luck with the test!!!
  2. That’s legit. I appreciate the candor and despite the anticipation of a brand new club in your bag, you’re grounded enough to remain fair. I’m excited to see how it works for you. You deserve a trusted driver in the bag.
  3. Easy to drag the bottom and say least. I’ll flip it and say my favorite. Adam Scott. No drama. By all accounts a gentleman. Has withstood the test of time and keeps his private life private. Respect.
  4. I know you’re familiar with your swing and recent hands on experiences with complete fittings. What’s your past experience with Callaway woods and are there any internal bias’ you have for the good or bad?
  5. You’re kind for saying this. It’s helped me feel a better sense of staying connected and helps me keep my arms in sync with my torso. This may sound silly but my swing thought Here is that my right elbow fires like a piston. That helps me rotate at a proper speed and stay connected.
  6. Thanks Rob. Not this time. It was 119 to an elevated green and I had to step into it. If it were level ground I may have been able to get it there but landed front edge and sucked it back short of the green. Thats about my limit maxed out. Next time it’s a PW for sure.
  7. Looks alone, they’re top tier. Final reviews should be a lot of fun to prepare.
  8. Pretty much the same gap that I play. Fingers crossed they have some for you to use. Let us know how it goes. They’re fantastic.
  9. Ok, that Bounce deserves its own theme song…this looks too good in person.
  10. I agree with @GolfSpy_APH regarding weight. Flex is so ambiguous between OEM’s that it’s hard to say regular v stiff. I’d dial in a comfortable weight and since you’re still in the 90’s, the 40 gram may not give you what you need for consistency.
  11. I didn’t keep score yesterday and only hit T100’s into the par 3’s. 2/2 GIR. First par 3 was 16’ and the second was 8’. Precise is how they ended last season and precise is how we’ve begun.
  12. Good Morning from WNY…sunny skies and we’re trending towards the good golf weather. Had a great round yesterday running the S159 through the gamut…I had a lot of fun out there. I was super pleased to see some great dudes get selected for Callaway AI and Autoflex testing… Congrats especially to some great dudes I’ve been lucky to get to know over the years… @Berg Ryman @EasyPutter @chisag & @KC Golf Have fun out there fellas
  13. Congrats fellas! Hope you all do well with this one. Looking at you @chisag…will this be as good as that red? It’ll be fun to watch.
  14. Love seeing my dude @Berg Ryman‘s name up there. Congrats everyone, hit some bombs!
  15. Leon, just looking at the launch angle by itself, those numbers are excellent. Off to a great start and it’s good to see the clubs validated themselves.
  16. Of course! And definitely worth trying to solve. Hope yours arrives soon
  17. Currently testing the PING S159’s and they’re really something nice. I’ve been a Vokey loyalist for years and I am at the point where I’m comfortable saying they’re better.
  18. To sum up today’s play, these made my round really easy. I feel incredibly comfortable on the course gauging distances and short shots offer a lot of versatility between wedge choices. Below is one more, the first one I recorded this morning and it was an approach I historically would dread…forward pin to a back to front slope green. I hit the 59 without any fear and had an 8 footer left for my 3.
  19. Today was my first 9 holes with a broom. It wasn’t great. While the greens are in WNY spring condition, lagging distances was super difficult. Anything inside 4’ felt really easy once I had my alignment down. I did make a 15’ for par which felt nice. Speed control will certainly be my biggest priority this next several weeks and months.
  20. US Kids isn’t the least expensive route but I would imagine as many other families buy clubs for their kids, they also outgrow them. If you can find a used set in the target color code, you’ll get a great set for a really good price.
  21. Nine holes today on a very familiar what you see is what you get course. I wasn’t interested in keeping score and purposefully hit tee shots to give me anything from 30-120 yards into the green. Below are some YouTube links of videos I took today…for the longest time I was terrified of hitting lob wedges from the fairway from 30-40 yards…not today…Also includes some 50 yard pitches, full swings and some 50* pitches…really happy right now… IMG_4157.mov IMG_4155.mov
  22. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I returned from a work trip to Indianapolis this past week and it's good to be home. Every April the city hosts the annual Fire Department Instructors Conference...40,000 attendees throughout the week with plenty of training, exhibits and vendors. Returned safely home to a yard that needs a mow, a ceiling that was successfully patched, a dog who is desperate for my attention and my wife and daughter who are the best of the best. Teeing off in an hour and not playing for score. I am going to try and leave at least 100 into every par 4 and 5 so I can get some practice with the S159 wedges. It's a little dewey and brisk so it should be fun
