I have been an Apple loyalist since 2005. I know well enough that computer loyalty is very particular for a myriad of reasons. I'll offer mine... They work. I am a simple non-technical guy. They turn on, don't freeze and don't require virus software. If there's an issue I can take it direct to the vendor and get face to face help. Full disclosure, in 12 years I've never had to do that. At the end of a life cycle..3-5 Years (current is 5 years old and I have no plans to upgrade) I wipe it after migrating and sell it for $250-350. I've had an iBook, MacBook and MacBook Air. Yes I am sure you have a great reason for why you like or dislike Apple. For me, it works and I get my money's worth with reduced headaches, quality, reliability and resale.
