  1. Thankfully I did not put any better right handed.
  2. Putter selection for lefties is disappointing at best. online or in store. went putter testing this past weekend and ended up trying right handed putters in the brand I was interested in testing.
  3. Another lefty golfer here. And got both of my sons into golf this year and they are naturally right handed at everything, but after trying from both sides they both golf left. which was great for me as I passed down my set to them for a new set. was a rare site to see three lefty golfers on the tee box.
  4. Just had a quick look at this from my round yesterday just to confirm and that does appear to be the way the handicap works, breakdown by facet. So like MDGolfHacker stated , on your approach shots you have the skill of someone with a 8.5. I struggle with my approach shots and I'm currently a 30, my worst area.
  5. Played my first round with it a couple nights ago, very impressed with the instant feed back on distances and the data collection at the end of the round. Barely noticed sensor and made no adjustments to my grip for it.
  6. Glad the bit of info I could provide was helpful Matt. I am finding that the finish on them is starting to scratch a bit but that was a known issue from watching other reviews. I did put a set of head covers on them to try and save my investment. The Callaway driver is amazing. spent some time on the range this week and it just goes straight. I can make it still go left but I know why when it happens.
  7. was on the fence about the Arrcos 360 but decided to order it and give it a try after reading some of the posts here. Appreciate the info
  8. finished my first 18 with the g700's and I shot a personal best 96. I've never broken 100 before. the putter really let me down. the g700 clubs were very good, Most balls, well hit or not were going high and long and balls that hit the green rolled out a bit and stopped. it does not take much effort to hit the ball well with these clubs, slow and steady. The aim was a bit off but that is the operator not the clubs fault. I did not notice the noise from the face as much. all in all very happy with the performance of the clubs. the real star of the show for me today was the Callaway Rogue draw driver I picked up after testing just about every club on the mygolfspy rankings. it was a fairway finder all day with decent distance for me. 10.5 loft in neutral settings.
  9. Got in 9 holes. Bit of a rough outing for me as I took a lesson and was working on my set up and grip. ( going a bit more stronger than the neutral grip I was using) The clubs are amazing and worth the price for me, maybe not for everyone, but for me yes. They are making the game more enjoyable. Bad hits still got up in the air and with no wild duck hooks or worm burners just seems to want to go straight. Only draw back is the damn noise it makes when you make solid middle contact, the click sound, while providing great feedback and assurance you just hit a good shot, is actually not a big selling point. It does seem like they should have filled the inside of the head with something to deaden the sound. the good qualities are greater than the one bad one , so I'm still very happy with the purchase. Hoping to do 36 next weekend and a couple more range tests.
  10. as a fellow left hander who can sent it way left , have you seen that tendency drop in any testing you have done without putting the over the top swing on it? I tried g400 max, and LST twice now with a fitter at the local shop , hit 100 plus drives between them and just cant make it go straight.
  11. Thanks, if the rain holds off this weekend I plan on giving them a go on something other than the driving range. Sadly our courses up here in the Great White North are just opening after a longer than normal winter and more snow than usual.
  12. Took delivery two days ago. 3 week delay due to shafts on back order. I tired to upload a photo to show size vs ball as requested in previous post First swings last night were very impressive. The clubs are very forgiving but not miracle workers, I still managed to spray a couple but when struck even close to centre the ball went high and long. One thing that did show up that I did not hear when I tested and got fitted was a click that's hard to describe when you hit the middle, it's very distinctive and certainly provides feedback but I'm not sure if it's a positive. Hoping to get out this weekend to do more than range test .
  13. Great start, looking forward to reading about how the testing progresses.
  14. seen the ad for this club on the golf channel and was curious. chipping is an area I could use help in. I bought the x-act tank and I cant seem to get it under control , I took it out by itself to practice and for every good shot I hit 4 poor ones. could be the operator. thanks for the review, look forward to hearing more about it.
  15. I am hoping to pick these up this afternoon after work and can post a couple pics of what it looks like at set up behind the ball. Personally I did not really factor in the look at set up or sound at impact, but the more reviews I read that really does factor into a lot of peoples decisons, I am curious as to why if folks dont mind replying. thanks
  16. I'll start off by stating I don't golf as much as I would like to, I know join the club. I am at best a 36 and just looking for something to help me enjoy the game more. I have a goal of getting to double digits this year. I have been using off the shelf clubs for a couple years and decided that I really wanted to see the difference it would make in getting fitted for a set of clubs and initial thoughts, well worth it. ( again something most here likely already know) I watched a ton of videos on the new game improvement clubs on the market this year and I settled on two sets, the ping G700 and the rogue x. They both performed well. The rogue x delivered the crazy distance i came to expect from the club reviews, I was able to knock the 7 iron out to 174 once but not able to consistently replicate that distance and finished around 162 but with a very inconsistent scattering of shots to the left and right and not many down the middle. The 7 iron was at 27 degrees of loft and to be honest at $1100 they looked cheaply made considering how nicely finished the AP1's look at with a similar price point. The ping G700 7 iron was lofted at 29.5 degrees and also had provoded me with the expected distance I had seen from the reviews. I was able to get them out to around 155 with but with a much tighter grouping and I was able to get my ball speed consistently over 100 mph , something I could not do with the rogue x. I found that I was able to make more consistent solid contact with the ping irons. The rogue x I would get the odd worm burner with but not the G700. Initially one of the biggest reasons I was interested with the G700 was the look, but then the performance really won me over. The sound and feel from a good shot was just different from Any off the shelf iron I had ever hit. I ended up going with the G700 and take delivery of them in two weeks, excited to get them out on the range and on the course to dial them in.
  17. added myself , find the highest pin in Canada .
