  1. Tested the new T150 irons out yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. Currently gaming Ping i200 irons with no real complaints. I wouldnt mind a bit more cushion with toe and thin shots, but otherwise very pleased with the i200. The T150 offered the forgiveness I was looking for in a tour-style head. The head was surprisingly smaller than i expected behind the ball, but it offered plenty of help for me. Currently a 5.8 and looking for a consistent iron. Can't wait to go back and test them against the new Apex and Mizuno pro irons that are eventually coming out.

  2. Saw Matty on the TSR vs TSi video and I was super excited. Great to see him back and his connection with Ian. Also always loved his videos because Ian is able to break things down so so well, and Matt offers terrific feedback with every shot.

  3. Been using the Axis 1 Rose B for about 8 months now and I can honestly say I love it. I have a tendency to switch from putter to putter, style to style quite frequently - 1x or 2x/ season. I hadnt found a shape, site line, or weight that I was all that comfortable with. I Tried Ping mallet style, to a blade stroke lab, and now the Axis 1 most recently.

I stumbled upon it at a golf galaxy trying a number of different "odd" shapes (I.e. Sik, EvnRoll arm lock, etc.) The Axis 1 caught my eye with the shaft aligning in front of the face. I noticed with only a few putts that it was almost hard to start the ball off line. Rolling it at home on my indoor putting mat is a clear indicator too... compared to my Scotty Newport blade, even off center hits with the Axis almost always make their way back online. It is a massive comfortability to know I dont have to strike the ball perfectly each time to roll the ball well, and I'm currently a 6.5 HCP.

    Hope this helps

Baywood is beautiful, so tell me, did you go for the island fairway or bail out to the right?!

Great question! Hole 15 gives me nightmares but its such a beautiful hole that I (somehow) find a way to enjoy it. It usually depends on how i'm hitting driver on the day because if it's going well then i'll usually just try and hit a bomb to the right fairway for a mid-to-short iron into the green. This time I took a four hybrid and went at the island and made it though 👍

I used to use Game Golf for the last 2-3 years, unfortunately I think it lost it's luster with me and I stopped this year.  I don't think I need much more technology to tell me that I miss 80% of my drives to the right and hit too many irons/wedges fat. 🤣

Hahahah I definitely hear you there. I'm big into statistics and I enjoy seeing the progression over the years. I was a 20+ handicap when I first started using it, and now that im an 11 it's cool to see where I've improved but also where I still suck lol. I was also curious if anyone is having issues with the software too.

    Thanks for the reply!

  6. Tried several different gloves to date ranging from Nike, Taylormade, FJ, titleist, UA, and a few others, but none have come close to FJ's Stasof for me. The fit remains true longer than any other glove, which is huge for me considering I want a consistent fit. Nothing bugs me more than when a glove stretches out after a few uses. I can't say its the longest lasting glove, but it gets the job done for me. I think they're in the $20 range for a single glove. Definitely my top pick

I have been looking at the Big Max IQ+. It is $199.99 with free shipping from the company website. Just researching to make sure it will hold a stand bag before I pull the trigger.

Did you pull the trigger on the cart? If so, any update on how you like it? Looks like they should be back in stock late-June and I'm going to try to pick one up once they're back in stock

  8. My favorite app for the longest time was Golflogix. It was free and allowed for a rangefinder on your phone... but it has been very, very buggy the past year or so. Even for the paid version it would not follow me around the course correctly. It would say I'm 999 yards from the hole that i'm on, and it would show my location somewhere very far away.

Anyone else have any issues with Golf Logix?

  9. I've got a few favorite apps at the moment. The first of which is V1 golf. Been using this for years now to record my swing. I get occasional lessons, and the app works great when I haven't seen the instructor in a while. I was in a funk for a few weeks and couldn't figure out why. One face-on recording of my swing and I realized I was started my downswing with too much of a sliding of the hips. I was getting hands stuck way behind me, hips all out of place, and far too much weight forward (and too early).

I would recommend V1 golf app to anyone

  10. I've got a Golf buddy VTX handheld rangefinder... but it's had some issues lately. When I plug it into charge it gives me the charging percentage, but after unplugging it it wont turn on. It wont turn on while its plugged in either. Anyone had any issues with their Golfbuddy devices before? I've reached out to their customer service team a few years ago and they helped me out with prior devices, but I haven't heard back from them on my most recent inquiry.

  11. At one point I was stuck to Callaway. Not too sure why but I guess I was drawn into their marketing. Then the last time I got fitted for irons & driver I hit every single brand. Ended up going with Ping for almost every club in my bag. I have no connection with Ping and I'm not even all that appealed to the brand. I absolutely loved my G30 wood, which made it that much easier to pick the G400 driver. Then I kept coming back to the i200 irons and ended up choosing them over the Mizuno's at the time.

  12. Picked up a used Callaway Rogue sub zero with stiff shaft and midsize grip, which were fitted for me, for only $150. Club was in great shape.

Best deal I found was definitely an Odyssey Metal-X milled #2 putter I found at golf galaxy. It was used but it could have easily passed for brand new. Even had a weighted Super stroke grip on it. Walked out the door with it for less than $135. Ended up using it for the season and re-selling it for more than I bought it for
