  1. There is a guy on another website that is a regular walker...he ordered 27 golf bags and said the two most comfortable carry bags were the Ping Craz-E-Lite, but even better was the Vessel VLS...He said that even though the Vessel is heavier, it carries lighter because the strap system is so good... Personally I don't know anything about the Vessel bags, but after testing 27 bags that was his claim.
  2. Like many others have mentioned, fleece lined soft-shell pants are great...great mobility because most of them are 4 way stretch...they keep you warm, they stretch, but they are usually pretty breathable as well. You can also just wear your rain pants, either over normal pants or over a base layer. If they are full zip and you get too hot, you can always open the side zips for ventilation. There are also some hiking/hunting pants that have side thigh zips for ventilation...throw a base layer under those and you can use the side zips to vent if you get too hot. Regarding cold hands, just get some warm mitts that are easy on easy off and wear those between shots...your hands will be toasty. They will keep you warmer than cold weather golf gloves. However, one of the best things you can do to stay warm is to walk...movement keeps you warm and you will need fewer layers.
  3. The OP's questions are really good questions. It would be great if people would include what kind of bounce and grind they have on their wedges to play particular shots. Wedge bounce angle and grind, and how you match wedges with your technique and angle of attack are helpful information...(particularly for those of us in the market for new wedges!) Example: A. Short sided, bunker to carry, tight or hardpan lie B. Same shot as A, rough. Anyone able to use a high bounce wedge to pull off shot A? For example, I know I can execute shot A with a Vokey M grind, but am wondering if I could pull it off with the D grind. Anyone?
  4. I guess I was confused about this too. I also thought "toe up" referred to lie angle or having low hands at address such that the toe is off the ground at address.
  5. I've been a Snell Black player for a while, but recently picked up some MTB-X's when they were out of the Blacks. I hit the X higher than the Black, and it was immediately noticeable for me. Regarding feel, I think the Snell description is good..."slightly firmer". I actually like the feel of the X...I was expecting "clicky" and it's not. But I think the Black gives me a better ball flight so I'll probably stick with that when the yellows are back in stock.
  6. This is one of the lighter cart bags I've seen....4.2 pounds: https://www.dynamicbrands.com/collections/datrek-golf/products/dg-lite-ii-cart-bag
