  1. First, I've never seen any Lab putter out in the wild. I did see a video of a guy picking his ball making it look easy..... it is not easy. I'll keep working on it, in private.
  2. I've got a df2 red, white Accra shaft coming tomorrow (after my morning tee time). I'm currently using a Ping Doc 15.5 L and for longer putts I go sidesaddle (sometimes all the time) while looking at the hole. I try to focus on a good tempo and feel like I'm just rolling the ball to the hole with my right hand like bowling or bocce ball. Keep at it good luck.
  3. I use Shot Scope X5. I find the information it gives fun and useful. I don't expect perfection, but the gps matches up very well with the Bushnell laser range finder and the other aspects are pretty darn good.
  4. Congratulation guys! I just got the notification that my DF 2.1 broomstick is going into production. I'll be following to see how your experiences correspond to mine and maybe use some of your testing methods. also interested to see how shot scope stats compare to last year. Have fun!
  5. I've got a LAB DF 2.1 Broomstick ordered . Hopefully it will get here by the end of April, can't wait. Maybe another pair of shoes. I like to have two pair alternate and my old ECCOs are a little over the hill.
  6. I just bit the bullet, and ordered a LAB DF 2.1 Broomstick. So, I guess the answer to your question is about $600. I've been looking to replace my Ping DOC 15.5L for awhile. I got a full bag fitting a couple of years ago at club champion, but they didn't have any long putters compare. $600 is a lot of money to me, but I tend to keep my clubs for a long time. I bought a used Odyssey Dart long putter, but it couldn't beat out the Ping. I also looked in refinishing the Ping, but putting $200-$300 into a 15 - 20 year old putter made me hesitate. Ultimately, I figure I'm due for a new putter and dog gone it I deserve it! Now just the agonizing wait for it to come. 48" Red, white shaft, triple white long alignment lines.
  7. Bushnell Pro X7, old but still works great. Also, a Shot Scope X5 which also works great. I love the info I get from the X5.
  8. I think I saw Lee Trevino gaming one at the Father Son tournament. I'm hoping to win one in the give-away.
  9. I'm Carrying 3,5 and 9 woods Ping 425s. The 9 wood replaces my 4 and 5 irons. Having some back issues Iwas trying to swing a bit easier and my long irons would only get 10 feet off the ground and then run for ever. Adding a 9wood helped me get the ball up in the air much easier and now that I'm able to swing harder I still love it. For me woods fly higher than hybrids and give me a better chance to hold a green from long distance. I still need to practice more to cover that 5 iron distance (195) but a full swing gets me 215 - 222 and fits in well with my 3 and 5 wood.
  10. For years I used Golf Pride tour wrap C2 midsize White. They are long lasting, and a little soap and water brings back the tackiness. The white color shows up nice around the greens. That being said, I had a full bag fitting this summer and I switched to the Golf Pride CP2 Wrap. I've really enjoyed using them. I don't wear a glove and I get plenty of grip and the less taper is really nice for gipping down. They'd be perfect if they made them in white.
  11. With encouragement from my wife, I got a full bag fitting at Club Champion as part of my severance/retirement package. (self employed) I got 4 Ping 425 woods, Mizuno Irons and Cleveland wedges. I have a shortened Ping Doc 15.5 L putter that they said I should keep. I was told it would take 5 to 7 weeks. They showed up in 6 weeks, everything looking perfect. My condolences to everyone who's been having to wait. I know once you make up your mind what you want. you want it yesterday. Sorry, forgot to mention, I ordered late July and received them early September.
  12. I've used Golf Pride mid-size Tour Wraps white for a long time. They last along time, a little soapy water and they feel like new. The white color really shows up around the green. I recently had a fitting and opted for the Golf Pride CP2 Wraps. I'm really enjoying the reduced taper, especially on choke-down shots. I haven't had them long enough to see how they wear. If it matters I don't wear a glove.
