Testers Wanted!

TW-SS-Feature.jpg

The MyGolfSpy Forum is thrilled to introduce a new Shot Scope product to the community for member testing. Shot Scope has just released their V5, the next evolution of their most popular tracking series. It's not often we receive products this close to release, and with many people curious about the new V5 from Shot Scope, we need testers to help inform golfers worldwide about their purchases.

What's New in the Shot Scope V5?

The Shot Scope V5 comes with full-hole maps to provide golfers with a clear picture of the hole they are about to play. This added feature aims to enhance the user experience by displaying greens, hazards, doglegs, and ideal layup areas.

Shot Scope V5 also includes 15 tracking tags that screw into the end of each club for shot-by-shot tracking and post-round in-depth analysis of your game.

Other features include five color themes allowing you to customize your watch, a built-in scorecard, green view, and pin placement.

Finally, Shot Scope offers their performance tracking dashboard and game analysis, all with no subscription costs.

What Is Being Tested?

We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a Shot Scope V5 watch and tracking system. We want to understand how these new features perform, how the new watch feels, and your overall thoughts on the entire Shot Scope package.

Do you think this testing opportunity is for you? Do you believe your game could be improved by using the Shot Scope V5?

I would love to try. I have used arccos, garmin approach S42 and have used phones apps with GPS several times. All have their pros and cons and looking forward to see how this one compares to the ones I used in the past.

I've been a long time ShotScope user.  Now using the X5 (pretty much a V5), and had V3 before.

What I'm curious of from the testers chosen is: if you currently use a scope, do you still find it necessary/useful vs. watch distances?  This may require you to learn how to use the pin placement feature on the watch, something I'm still fiddling with.

Good luck to those in the pool!  I feel very naked and underprepared if I can't use my watch.

This is a great opportunity! Good luck to those who put in for it. Glad to see the tags come with the watch. I really wish Garmin would start offering them with their watch. I'm really tempted to get the Shot Scope Connex because the Garmin ones are fairly expensive.

I have/had GPS watches ( various kind over the years ), laser  scopes, hand held GPS, Mobile APPs and Smart watch with Bluetooth connection.

However, they all have their pros/cons. For seniors like me ( Almost 70 ), small screen/readability could be a major problem whereas handheld is not as convenient as a watch. Also, I don't like talking ones that talks when someone is about to putt and annoys everyone.

Laser is most accurate but I still make mistakes of shooting a slightly wrong target.. Let me find out there is THE ONE, I can trust and use..Please 🙂

Cheers!

Want to really get involved and increase your chance at being a tester? What Shot Tracking System Do You Use?

At the moment I am just using the Bushnell speaker..I do love the speaker and it's features for the price I gave for it but ready to upgrade.. I have 2 daughters in college at the moment and a 9 year old girl who thinks her daddy should support every hobby and collection she has (which is a lot!) I have managed to give my bag a overhaul with new PXG irons, gen6 3wood, and a lightning putter..i borrowed a v2 from a buddy with my old set of irons and loved it, but since I'm an honest person I didn't dodge him and keep it (although hindsight is 20/20).. Would love to see precise numbers on my irons and 3wood..whilScreenshot_20240420-194624.png.900c968d628de9c2b28f7410c99cce3b.pnge the Bushnell app is nice, it's more about fairway hit percentage and overall scores instead of individual clubsScreenshot_20240420-194614.png.bde38fd2714d064f8126589614bd5771.pngPXL_20240102_202721131.jpg.99b14ca57efe6bbbfd301fd95bcb6f7f.jpg

I have the Garmin approach S20. Bought it about 4-5 years ago. It is a solid watch but has gotten dated and the recent updates still don’t cover renovations to some courses in my area. I’d be interested in something new to see if it has better results and more accuracy. Good luck to everyone who signs up!

Currently use a full set of Arccos with the new Arccos Link Pro.

I am a tinkerer, software engineer by trade and data is my game. Love anything technology based and have to be on the cutting edge. Always wanted to try the watch but jumped on the Arccos sensors and haven't tried anything else.

I use The Grint and Laser for distance and track basic left/right miss and putting stats, to have through the bag club data I believe it would help my game and it would be awesome to test!

Not to change the topic but how do you like your PXGs? I feel like my 0311 24 degree sits really open. It throws me off I've struggled feeling comfortable hitting it.

Currently use a Garmin Descent Mk2 since that’s what I was given for my work. It’s quite big and heavy but has great tracking so I’m curious to explore watches that were actually made to golf with and compare to the Garmin watch.

Currently use the X5 since it launched so those who get picked all I can say is you won’t be disappointed and have fun using the stats to play a better game.

Hey Spies.

i used to use Arccos but became frustrated with the accuracy and missed shots. I’d like to test this as a direct competitor. I’m in the market for new tracking devices and the opportunity to test would be fantastic! Thanks for considering me.

Have been toying with the idea of a golf watch for a while. I justvuse grint for tracking stats and rangefinder for yardage

I currently use a Sky Caddie LX5 for on-course distances, and Arccos for my data collection. I would like to have one solution that can do both and simplify. The V5 looks like it could be that solution and I am keen to test it to see if it can truly beat out the Sky Caddie and Arccos tools I am currently using.
