I was invited to on a trip to Kohler.  Not ever ben I decided to stay with the group and not venture out much.  We took a bus from Milwaukee airport to the Inn at Woodlake.  We played Blackwolf Run Meadow Valleys and the River Course.  I have to say these are some of the nicest courses I've ever played.  The staff was supper and there was a shuttle on demand to take you from the hotel to the course.  I never had to handle my golf clubs once I arrived.  We then played both Whistling Straits courses.  The Irish fist and thank god we did.  Playing that type of course takes some getting used to.  So far we've had a forecaddie at all three coursed and have also been in a cart.  The following day we played the Straits Course and you walk with a foursome and two caddies.  Each caddie carries two bags.  Make sure you take your phone so you can talk pictures.  Bucket list trip. 

Here are the things I learned on this trip.  At the four courses above at the turn you can get free Hot Dogs and or Bratwurst.  Take is all in and experience everything you can.  At Blackwolf Run they also have a short course called the Baths.  you can win or loss lots of money on this one...  Great time.  Take extra money to tip your caddies and don't be cheap.  If I went again I would rent a car and play some other courses in the area like Ern Hills, The Bull.  You can also replay any course except the Straits course for a discounted price.  Look into this trip, it was amazing.

That sounds like an awesome trip! I have a tee time for the Irish at the end of September. Which was your favorite to play? I went to the '04 PGA and remember wind, rain, and sliding down all of those hills on the Straits course.
