  1. Great idea to go out and do this comparison from all the other brands out there. Thank you very much for this!
  2. Huge shoutout to Titleist for this great opportunity again. ] Tie Breaker Cut number -2 Highest round of the week is +12
  3. Played in a family golf outing on Friday and one thing I noticed is out of the rough the spin tends to drop a bit more than expected for me. I have a tee time after work today so I am going to see if that was a course thing, me thing, or wedge thing. Mentally my writeup is there i just need to get these wedges on Trackman and get some numbers for the partial shots and possibly some wet conditions too.
  4. I took the TAIII's to a simulator on Friday and also brought along my SM8's. I intended to collect data with them but I did not have enough to compare 4 wedges but without giving too much away from my final review there is a clear and distinct difference between the TAIII's and the SM8's in a lot of different ways which caught me a bit off guard.
  5. It seems like for both of us testing has forced us to practice our wedges more which in turn makes us better with them. Didn't see that coming.
  6. Not sure if my fellow testers have discovered this or not but I find these wedges improving my short game through the concept of simplicity. Since I am testing a high bounce and a low bounce options i base the wedge to use off of how firm or soft the ground is. If its softer I go high bounce 56° and if its firmer ground I go low bounce 60°. Applying this to any time I pull one of these wedges has simplified the decision making and started to improve strokes gained in my short game.
  7. I had a 6:20am tee time on Monday with my brother at Ceadar Creek Golf Course in Bayville NJ. The course was really wet on the front 9 and didn’t notice any slip in performance. The greens were soft so they were able to grab a bit but overall I was impressed by the performance of these wedges in the wet conditions.
  8. Rust Alert!! I spent Fourth of July weekend (Sat-Mon) down in seaside heights with my family and brought my clubs just in case. I put my clubs in the back shed and after a few days they really started to rust on me over the weekend. Photos were taken today at neshanic valley’s range with the first three being the 56* and the next three are of the 60* 60* Photos I’m really liking the look in the bag and I haven’t seen any downsides in performance yet.
  9. I have a nick on the sole of my 56 from bag chatter and can be seen here. Nothing that would effect the performance of the sole but something that should be noted. This however should be expected with forged wedges or clubs of any kind and won’t be held against them in my review moving forward.
  10. First impressions are up after a week of testing and linked below. Really enjoying the wedges so far as I get used to them. Gonna start collecting Arccos data soon now that I’m more used to them and comfortable with them.
  11. Finalizing initial impressions today. I should be posting them end of day today or early tomorrow morning
  12. I have a tournament coming up at Architects this Sunday so I took my clubs over to Rutgers golf course for some tournament prep and put these wedges through their paces for about 90mins. I hit everything from full shots, to pitches, chipping, and sand shots. I was really able to put these wedges through their paces and I am glad I did. Sand shots were tough at first but once I got dialed I was very pleased. I will go into more detail with my first impressions so consider this more of a teaser post but so far these wedges are holding their own with the big test coming up on Sunday.
  13. @DonnieGolfs seems to have the same thing going on a bit as well based on his last photo.
  14. Played 18 yesterday broken up at 2 different courses and so far my 2 takeaways are these are a fairly forgiving wedge on mishits and I need to get my lie angles dialed as my strikes are living very heel side and are uncomfortably close to the hosel. My first impressions will dive into a ton more detail once they are posted in about a week.
  15. Unboxing has been added to my review post and can be found here. Tomorrow for testing can’t come quick enough. https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/59603-testers-announced-2023-mgs-forum-member-test-sub70-taiii-wedges/?do=findComment&comment=933833
  16. Wedges arrived yesterday right after I finished all of the house chores. I was not able to do any testing as I was going out to dinner in a few hours so I didn’t have any time to take the plastic off the wedges but I did open up the box and take a good amount of pictures from the unboxing process. Here’s a sneak peak though at some of the unboxing process while I work on going into more detail in my testing post. I’m unable to do any testing today since I’m down the shore for Father’s Day but I’m playing 18 tomorrow so they are going right from the plastic coming off the course.
  17. Just got the confirmation for today so I’ll be joining you soon.
  18. @DonnieGolfs did your wedges arrive yesterday or are they a running late?
  19. How's everyone's irons holding up to the test of time? Are they still in the bag and are they looking to be cherished with the company no longer in buisness.
  20. Have a bit more and I’ll be sure to get you in the loop. I am expecting them to arrive in sat and with any luck I can get some first impressions that same day but if not I’m gonna be playing 18 on Monday regardless. Sunday I’m gonna be down the shore for Father’s Day and the clubs will unfortunately be staying home.
  21. Giving the SM8’s some last licks before the TAIII’s arrive
  22. Introduction has posted and below is a quick link to the post. Looking forward to getting the testing started and if anyone wants to see anything other than what i will initially be testing fire away on the thread!
  23. Huge shoutout to Sub70 and MGS for putting this together. I've got some really fun ideas for different ways to test these wedges and I can't wait to get started.
  24. I'm a big fan of the Tour BX because for me the flight is just what I like to see and for me the Tour BX is just a great feeling ball. I will say though the biggest downside with these balls is that they are not very durable. However I just toss them in my shag bag if they are too beat up an still have the same chipping performance around the green. Not sure if you have noticed the same durability issues as me though.
