  1. Thanks, cnosil. Already checked both of them. hammY is out of stock, and In the Hole just has a left-handed club.
  2. Played in my club's 3-club challenge and used driver to putt. Was surprised by how well I did with split grip technique. Was so easy to see the line, and right hand low kept putts on target. So I thought I should try it with a real putter. Apparently, the hammy was designed for this very purpose. Natalie Gulbis and Daniel Chopra used them for a time. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks.
  3. I also used to think that the Martini tees were goofy. Then I found one and gave it a try. I've now been using the same one for about six rounds. Hit 12 fairways last time out; so there's no way I'm going back to "normal" tees. They certainly are durable and easy to use. The ridge makes it simple to get consistent height every time. If you don't like the bright colors, they also come in white.
  4. For me -- no. You are a single digit guy who has broken 70. For you, it's permitted (although probably not advisable, for the reasons stated by others).
  5. I recently switched from Recoil 90's to Aerotech Steel Fiber FC 80's when I purchased new irons and am very pleased with them. I'm an 18 handicap using game improvement irons. Can't say how much of it is do to the shafts as opposed to the irons themselves (both sets are Callaway oversized). The differences are not enormous, but positive. And as a 72-year-old high handicapper, I certainly don't find the Aerotech's too "stout" or at all difficult to swing. I also switched to graphite shafts around age 60, when I started having wrist and elbow issues. I think they've helped a lot. Good luck.
  6. Surprised no one has yet suggested using a putter. As long as there is no tall grass in the way, it’s the easiest club to control — and the safest — your worst putt will be nowhere near as bad as a chunked or bladed pitch or chip. In Ireland or at Bandon Dunes, I’ll putt from as far as 70 yards out. Like any other shot, it takes some practice, but if a short shot from a tight lie gives you indigestion, this is the remedy.
  7. I carry a Callaway Big Bertha Heavenwood. Very easy to hit off a variety of lies, with a nice high trajectory. You ought to be able to find a used one on the Callaway web site.
  8. I've had a QOD battery powered cart for several years. It has performed just fine; and on the few occasions when I've had a question or needed service, the response has been incredible. Three other guys at my club have one as well, all with good results. It does not have a remote (I didn't want one); but will go ahead for 10, 20 or 30 seconds if you want it to.
  9. I tried Arches several years ago, but found it totally useless due to a disappointingly high number of shots missed by the sensors. Sorry -- Arccos. Otto Korrect had his own idea about the spelling.
  10. I'm an 18 handicap and couldn't play without my 60 degree wedge. I use it for most shots from up to 70 yards out, "flop" shots around the green, and to get out of bunkers with firm or wet sand. Far from being a more difficult club to hit, the confidence that I can get it up quickly and land soft make it much easier for me than a normal sand wedge for these shots.
