  1. I'll play from any where from 6300-6800 yards. My average drive is 250 yards and just played a very hard course at 6700 yards and handle it no problem. With that said play from where you are comfortable and are not holding up pace play
  2. In my opinion the Cobra clubs are underrated. The big companies such as Taylormade, Callaway and Titleist do so much advertising it is hard to cut through the noise. I also think people would rather have other brands in their bag because of the name. I'll get fitted and whatever brand works best will go in the bag.
  3. I played the prior generation forged tec. Full disclosure I use to work puma and no longer work at puma. I went to get fitted for new irons. I was open to all brands. The first club I hit was the new Forged Tec with the $ taper stiff 120 shaft. The numbers were off the chart. I have these irons in my bag. They are rocket launchers.
  4. I just got fitted for my irons. There are so many good sets out there. My only advice is go in with an open mind. Try things that are off your radar because you maybe surprised by the results.
  5. I play the Vice Pro ball. I played the Vice Pro plus and switched to the softer ball. In my opinion the Vice balls are great and perform like a top tier ball at a fraction of the price.
  6. I play the Vice Pro and love the ball. It performs in every aspect of the game
  7. I prefer to walk versus a cart. I need to get my steps in. I also feel it is more relaxing way to play the game
  8. Anyone have any fitter recommendations in CT or Westchester NY
  9. I was playing with a friend who was fit by CC and didn't have build issues. He was fit very poorly and paid for the premium shaft. Yes CC fitters are knowledgeable but they are also sales people. The higher the price the more money they make.
  10. i have no problem with the Tee box recommendation but you can make your own decision of where you want to play. For instance I play Pound Ridge golf course in NY a Pete Dye course, which is hard. The recommended tee box is 6261 and I play that and have a very hard time with the course. At that course when I start playing consistently in 80's i will move back a tee box. Golf is suppose to be fun, so why make it harder on yourself
  11. So i have been fitted by Club Champion which was an ok experience but the shafts etc they suggested would cost me thousand of dollars on a set, I went to local fitter who did a great job. Got all my clubs through him and worked with making sure my clubs were not going to cost an insane amount of money. What have your fitting experiences been local or at national fitter/retailer? I am looking to get fit for new irons but want to make the right choice on a fitter. I have moved so the local fitter I used a flight a way
  12. 1. I have been playing golf for about 15 years ago. My handicap is 13.5 2. I love the challenge of you versus the course. I usual play as a single and love meeting new people on the course. I have never met a bad person on the course. 3. I am from Westport, Ct. I really do not have a home course. I play a variety of courses open to the public near me. 4. The best thing about golf where I am are some of the best courses in the country. There is amazing community of golfers 8n the area .the worst thing about golf is the winter 5. I work in sales for a footwear company 6. It is a family thing
