  1. When your cart stops at the next tee, get out and get your club. No need to sit and ponder life. Even the person keeping score should be done in 5 seconds. You can do your complex math on the 19th hole
  2. This speaks to the geek in me and of course leads to additional questions. They tested new balls, but how many find their way into a pond on the initial strike. Would have loved a cohort of “played golf balls”; do the same randomized test on golf balls that have been played 18 holes. Also this holds more Michigan pond water…can it be applied to those of us fishing balls from brackish water? How does water temperature affect performance? Does it matter if it is 3 months of summer or winter? The mark of a good study is the questions that follow and this one is a rabbit hole…quite the enjoyable read (well skim)
  3. Pretty boring… Driver: Calloway, PXG Woods/hybrids/irons/wedges: Calloway Putter: TaylorMade Bag: Taylor Made Glove: Foot Joy, Kirkland, Titleist Balls: Calloway, TaylorMade, Titleist, various “found” balls Shoes: Squairz
  4. Downhill lie, particularly when there is trouble in front of the green
  5. Recently started playing TM Tour Response (driver SS 85). Performed very well in all conditions for me. Liked the feel of a clean strike.
  6. About to head from hot and humid South Carolina to Scotland. As a general rule I prefer the feel and performance of the Chrome Soft and ProV1. Would there be a benefit to switching to a softer ball (ERC, TM Tour response) {or firmer ball for that matter} to adapt to the cooler conditions and firmer course conditions? I am predominately distance challenged with a driver speed less than 90 mph. Any advantage is always a plus… Thanks
  7. Was big into Taylor Made until fitted by a brand agnostic fitter…Now a Calloway convert…like the feel of the clubs, particularly my Epic driver and slowly settled into Chrome soft as chosen ball…
  8. If it rolls up on you let it go, tip your hat etc. There is no excuse for a ball flying over your head if you are in sight (blind shot or hunting for ball in woods, I can give benefit of doubt once)
  9. Would appreciate a broke 80 and hole in one badge for myself. Thanks so much
  10. Cut will be +2….unfortunately no Tiger for the weekend as he finishes +4
  11. Kind of an easy one for me. Back in the day I had a Kiawah Ocean Course coupon that allowed me to play for $ 150..the catch it was only good in December, January or February. I had a day off and called over for a tee time, said pair me me up as needed. 60 degrees and overcast, I arrived only to find out there were no other players that day. It was just me and the caddy walking 18 holes and the sound of the Ocean, no other humans in sight. Made birdie from the waste area to the left on #3, turned back into the wind and birdied #11…the golf was down hill from there but an experience I will never forget…a good walk unspoiled
