  1. Got an interesting update coming later this evening. May have found a flaw. Stay tuned for it later!!!
  2. Morning All, The goal was to play a round this morning. However, this is my current situation. Tunnel was blocked and just got back open. With me now scheduled to got to work about an hour before work starts, I won’t have time. Rain is supposed to move in later today. Maybe I’ll try to get out for a quick 9 during lunch. Saw some hockey talk about rangers, the deadwings, sabres and the booins. I hope Florida beats Boston. That would be ideal. Until next time though, have a great day everyone.
  3. Morning All, I thought I was going to play a quick 9 this morning. The problem is one of my other mower belts broke yesterday as well while I was mowing. And I hate having uneven grass. So my acre and a half was push mowed by me. My knees and feet hurt this morning. Work week and big fun work out on Thursday followed by golf on Friday. Got the house to myself this weekend as the wife is heading to Florida to visit her family. Hope everyone has a great day
  4. Gonna try to get out in the morning for a quick 9. Be good to get out and get some swings in prior to Friday.
  5. Thursday I’m with @TJ Hall on this. I’m local and Thursday I could get out if there are any openings. I’d come show how awesomely terrible I fall apart after 5 holes.
  6. Morning All, Woke up at 6 made coffee. Wife wanted to go to the animal swap this morning so we did that…she got more chickens. It’s a Saturday and we haven’t had a Saturday to spend with each other in a while, so no golf today. Did hit the range yesterday as the course was super busy and I wasn’t going to wait 2 hours to get a tee time. It went well. Range balls were surprisingly going over 250 on the fly. Going to hopefully get a round of 9 in before my scramble this coming Friday. If not I’ll just be fresh and ready to go. Have to go get a new belt for the lawn mower, that will be fun to do. Hope everyone has a great day.
  7. So I have an old Craftsman LT1500 riding lawnmower. The upper drive belt finally gave out and rendered it immobile. That’s fine, kind of figured it was gonna happen. Anyhow, got a new belt and went to install it and found that in order to get it on the biggest pulley you have to take the whole transmission off the frame and push it away from the frame in order to get the new belt on. I spent the better part of 4 hours trying to figure this out before I googled it. Did all that just to find out that the belt I have is too small but it’s the right part…I did go to the range prior, so my day wasn’t fully shot.
  8. I have a 5 iron and still carry it. I’ve delofted my 7 wood so it goes further than my 5 iron, but since I struggle with it I kind of want to find a 9 wood to see if I can replace my 5 iron with it.
  9. Morning All, Well that was a “fun” thing to have done yesterday with the colonoscopy. It did reveal I have diverticulosis, which is before diverticulitis. I’ll do a Tl;Dr version. Everyone has diverticula (small pockets) in their colon, the “osis” is just inflammation of the diverticula. If left untreated or watching what foods cause pain, it can lead to the “itis” which is the diverticula being infected cause the food got lodged in it. I already know certain foods to stay away from. But this is also trial by what causes the inflammation still. with that out of the way. This morning I have to go get my tires rotated and make sure they are aligned properly. Hoping it doesn’t take forever, and if not I’m going to try to get out for a quick 9. Then I have to replace belts on my riding lawn mower. That’s going to be fun. Hope everyone has a great day.
  10. The PGA and Trackman have a contract, I would assume that if it wasn’t good enough with clubhead speed it wouldn’t be used on the pga tour.
  11. Morning All, Today is my colonoscopy, that means no golf today. That also means no coffee for the second day in a row. It also means no food until this afternoon. The back is a tad sore today after testing on a trackman yesterday. In all it’s not as bad as it could have been, I listen to my body now when it says it hurts. I’ll stop what I’m doing now when that happens. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day.
  12. I’m actually a little shocked by my findings today. Admittedly, the last time I saw my club head speed on trackman was a year ago. So being a year older probably plays into not seeing as high of a clubhead speed for my average. With that said, my first picture here is me wearing my Nike Roshe G shoes. You can see the numerous spaghetti lines that show I just wasn’t on it with the shoes. Now with the claims of faster clubhead speed, I can say that is probably true if I hit just as many shots. But I had to stop after three shots cause, back started hurting. However, the claims of tighter dispersion may be true. I had to learn how to move my feet so I didn’t feel like I was anchored to the ground, and the results are here. Average swing speed was lower, ball speed was up, smash factor was up as well. This tells me that the dispersion claims, and speed claims have some form of substance there. The one that is to the right was the one that I slowed down on cause I felt my back tighten up. I did have one clubhead speed at almost 112 while wearing my SQAIRZ. The fastest with my Nike’s? A paltry 110.6. Still have more testing to do.
  13. Breaking in, was not like that when I got them. And really it’s probably my flat feet causing that if I had to guess.
  14. Morning All, Going to be a long day today and tomorrow since the only thing I can eat are popsicles that are green or yellow, and jello that is either green or yellow. Gonna miss food for almost 36 hours. Bright side is it should do wonders for my figure. Trackman test this afternoon, I’m looking forward to that. Hope everyone has a good day.
  15. I have a 5 iron, but I rarely ever use it. I think I’ve hit it maybe 2 times on the course and those were just punch shots to get out from the trees and advance the ball. My 7 wood is my go to club for consistency, it used to be my 5 wood. I want to try a 9 wood, but I’m not sure they have them anywhere to try. At least not in a stiff or x-stiff shaft that I have seen.
  16. I’m actually a fan of that. I like things that are different, and is probably why I have loud golf clothing. I don’t want to see someone wearing the same things I do except shoes. And the name placement I think exemplifies being different.
  17. Upon further review, the SQAIRZ Velo has been outstanding in keeping my feet dry from walking through rain soaked grass in the course. I’m a little bummed as I thought I had gotten a good video of my tee shot on the 8th hole. But apparently you have to push the button to record, otherwise you just set your phone up for failure. And you look pretty dumb picking it up off the tee box when you didn’t record. I didn’t walk today as I was in a little bit of a time crunch, but it was cart path only. And if you ever play a round with me you’ll learn that cart path golf is not in my skill set. I had to walk across the rough to get to my ball it seemed on every hole. But I did get a picture that has me in the grass and you can see the amount of water in the grass if you zoom in on the picture. Rain was quite a bit last night into this morning. Tomorrow is trackman time, going to get some good pics for speed and dispersion hopefully.
  18. Morning All, Got out for a before work 9 holes. Super wet for the base course and seeing as I wanted to make sure I got all 9 in before work I chose to ride even though it was cart path only. I got a good walking across the fairway in, cause there is no way I know how to play cart path ball. I can say that it being as wet as it was, there was almost not roll out on my drives. The greens were very receptive, except for the par 3's cause my tee shots couldn't find those surfaces. Wound up in the bunker short on the 5th hole and that bunker is taller than me to get out, so it's probably just a little over 6 feet as I am 5'11''. Shot an 8 over 44, I need to play a full 18 as the back 9 seems to be a little tougher as holes 10-12 all have water left of the fairway and the 12th is a par 3 over water. hole 14 is a tee shot over water and so is 15 a par 3. then hole 17 is a par 4 where the landing is severely down hill from the tee box, but water all along the right side past the green. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
  19. So the races are actually timed? I feel I have a lot to learn. Although I do think I figured out the DRS(?) when they can use it. I think it’s when they are within a half a second of the person they are trying to overtake. Of course that’s what I’ve taken from watching for 4ish years
  20. So it is great to have friends who also love to golf. I’m going to be able to get some good data from a track man on Wednesday. Is it the best time to do that since I’m basically having to fast all day? Probably not. But am I going to Be able to see if the shoes making me have more of a draw is fictitious in mind or if it’s just a bologna me thing. I’ll also be able to tell if I gain swing speed or not. I may also say that it may be a bad idea to do that while fasting. That’s not the point in this, this is about finding out some good data that I believe would be beneficial. I am hoping tomorrow morning it doesn’t rain as it did this morning. I’d like to get back out on the course for another round before work. Especially since it will be really wet, I’d like to see how well that holds up and not allow water in.
  21. Not going to lie, I love watching F1 more than NASCAR. I just don't understand a lot of the rules for penalties and what not during the race. I started watching it in 2020 when it was NASCAR and F1 as the only things going for sports. I just don't understand some of the penalties. Like even if someone crosses the line and they were in second, they could actually be third because of a penalty. Is the race based on time or just finishing the laps before everyone else like NASCAR?
  22. Morning All, It’s raining pretty decently in Virginia Beach. That means no golf this morning. Looking at the forecast it looks like I may be able to get a soggy round in tomorrow or Wednesday morning. Thursday I’m going to be out of commission for the day since that’s when my colonoscopy is scheduled for. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day.
  23. Morning All, Well today is the wife's birthday. Had to come into work but I will be heading out shortly so I can spend the day with her. Got her season passes to the Revolutionary war museum and the Jamestown museum here in Virginia as that is what she wanted. So may try to take her over to one to get the physical card so she can go whenever she wants. That means no golf today. Going to try to get out tomorrow morning, so hoping it doesn't really rain tonight. Anyway, Hope everyone has a great day.
  24. Morning All, Well range day yesterday went off without a hitch. No physical injuries, just bruised egos. More work today, but I will be leaving early. The wife's birthday is tomorrow, but we have tickets to an event she wanted to go to. That means we are celebrating her birthday today. It rained pretty hard throughout the night at my house, and on my way to work I could tell where the rain line stopped. Hoping that the rain doesn't come in full force so I can get out on Monday morning. Hope everyone has a great day.
  25. To be fair, both range days are fun
