I used to never putt before my round and found I spent the first 9 holes getting used to the greens. If I’m super late and have minimal time I’ll at least hit a few balls towards the first tee just to get used to the pace of the green. I still suck at putting but I’m slightly better since I started implementing this

Normally 45-30 minutes early. Standard is go check in, have my pre round bathroom session, and then head back to the car to get my push cart loaded up. If it’s 45 minutes early I’ll grab a warmup bucket then chip and finally putt. If I get there 30 minutes early I’ll skip the range session and spend more time chipping and putting. I’ll do some stretching and massage gun before I leave the house too

Scramble tournament I was supposed to do this morning got cancelled because the course was basically flooded. Ended up taking the kids to the zoo though so all in all a great day. Mom and sister are in town so probably won’t be able to get out to play at all this weekend unfortunately

Star Grips - 2024 Forum Review
BreakfastBall15 replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
I used 2in masking tape. Technically “contractors tape” but had no issues. I alternated the placement to avoid a ridge build up. When I did the final wrap I noticed that it didn’t wrap all the way on the bottom hand (have 4 wraps on the bottom and one on the top) but can’t tell when the grip is on -
That call was awesome. Aaron is a wealth of knowledge. I’ve never considered Titleist or Vokey, not sure why. But the SM 10s are at the top of my list with the new Pings when it’s time to get new wedges

Don’t get me too excited!

GHOST Golf ANYDAY Bags - 2024 Forum Review
BreakfastBall15 replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
Finally had the time to read through this. Those are some amazing looking bags. I'm kicking myself for not grabbing on during the forum sale now! -
Wyndham Clark. Between not being in the top 100 a year ago to saying what he did, just a real low class comment. Glad he got his karma for the 54 hole comment by getting cut but it was just hilarious to me that he would say that after his only win this year was an event where they cancelled the final round. Also, not a player but Brandel Chamblee. I'd rather watch paint dry than listen to that guy talk.

Grip Replacement and Recommendations

If you like the Tour Velvet the Star Grip Sidewinders are very similar. Very easy to install if you have access to an air compressor. -
L.A.B. DF3 Putters - 2024 Forum Review
BreakfastBall15 replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
Spiders are always the worst ones I see. I keep the cover on mine all the time and it still looks new. A buddy of mine has the same putter as me but keeps his headcover off after the first green and its beat to crap. It hurst my eyes and heart to look at it. -
Whose everyone’s favourite swing??

Max Homa. And recently Jake Knapp. Definition of tempo town -
Ultra Unofficial Review of Wilson Triad Ball

The sensor is similar in size and that it goes on the butt end of the grip. Not sure if it plugs into anything in the shaft and how it works but I’m pretty sure it’s all Bluetooth. The fitter started explaining everything about it but I had the deer in headlights look -
I use my Garmin Fenix 7. Distances are pretty reliable, within a few yards of my playing partners Range Finder, and even has a ”plays like” feature that factors in slope and wind. Been using Garmins ever since I left my Range Finder in a cart and haven’t gotten a new one.
