  1. I went with CB the last iron set I purchased (Callaway XR OS). Didn’t get fitted and like most, I assumed I wasn’t good enough to be able to play a MB set. What’s funny is now that I have played with the CBs for over a year - I feel like I would prefer something closer to a MB. I play Cleveland RTX Zipcore wedges and they’re the most consistent clubs in my bag. I feel like I can really feel the club face in my swing and I have a much more desirable flight. My XR OS irons fly way too high and I feel like I can’t work them as well. Not sure this is really a CB vs MB issue, but I definitely will be considering MBs when I am fitted for a new set in the future.
  2. I had a friend lend me a 60 degree recently. I had been in the market for a higher lofted wedge after being in a few deep green side bunker situations that my 56 couldn’t save me from. I was always a person who preferred having 3 wedges in the bag; a PW, 50, and 56. Figured I could just open the face on the 56 to act as my higher lofted wedge. This works well most of the time but I found it inconsistent and as I alluded to before, sometimes doesn’t work at all. After using a 60 degree for the past 5 rounds, I absolutely love it! Not only does it get me out of dicey situations, it also gives me another club with a consistent distance when I take full swing. Will definitely be purchasing one of my own very soon.
  3. Really depends on preference. I’d say that most people find hybrids easier to hit but I absolutely love my 5 wood. Currently rocking 3W 5W 4H. Like having the hybrid for iffy lies.
  4. Gotta be kirklands. $26 for 2 dozen if you buy them in store. Great ball. And they just released the v3.
  5. Drove 2 par 4s in one round. Fairways were hard, got amazing rollout, and put them both in for birdie. I had never broke 90 before, and I ended up shooting a 84. That was almost a year ago. I think about that round often.
  6. Woof. Worst round of golf I’ve had in over a year. Thinking I’ve been practicing too much lately and as a result - definitely thinking too much on the course. Think I’ll need to put ‘em down for a bit to “reset” my swing thoughts. This happen to anyone else?
