  1. H4 - What driver are you looking to replace your Cobra F9 with?
  2. Good points, Ricky Bobby - If the LIV adopted OWGR eligibility guidelines, wouldn't that level the playing field, and we, the consumer, would be able to watch the best PGA and LIV players compete in all major and nonmajor tournaments?
  3. The LIV should adopt whatever it needs to do to make all the LIV players eligible for FedEx points, putting the LIV and PGA on equal footing. That means the LIV will adopt four-day tournaments, long pants, and no more loud techno crap music. Tell Rory the insane 850 Million + 2% is off the table. LIV should allocate all the Rory bucks into buying television rights on the golf channel. Lord knows the golf channel's programming needs work. Now we have good old American competition. The PGA will open its tournaments to LIV's best golfers, and all the PGA's best golfers can play LIV tournaments without penalty. Who Wins - we the consumers of professional Golf. Signed the ghost of Prestwick Golf Club
  4. My next purchase is going to be a driver. A friend let me hit the AI Smoke he was demoing, and it was okay. I also hit the Stealth, and I like it, but not enough to spend $400+. I like my Cobra, so I will start there and try Ping drivers next.
  5. Wilson Smart Core, Callaway Soft, and Titleist True Feel My favorite course balls I find are Titleist Pro V1x, Bridgestone e12s, Vice, and Callaway Chrome. At my skill level, I have found that I like the performance of 'new' golf balls over used balls, in most cases. I buy cheaper new golf balls when I find an under $20 deal on Amazon. Hit em straight and not too often. AK
  6. Golf Spy - Apologies, I didn't know you had special gloves made up with the Golf Spy's logo. I thought this was a general Golf Glove topic. Excellent logo, by the way. Alan K
  7. I found the Finger Ten Rain Grip Hot/Weather makes the best golf gloves I have ever purchased. They hold up for 6-8 months, playing 2-3 times weekly. When they get wet, these gloves get tacky. I live in FL, and with the rain and sweat, these gloves hold up like none other. Cost: 2 pair = $14.99
  8. I want to see the best players in the world compete against each other. The PGA 4-day events with a cut is what professional golfers have been judged on since records have been kept. 1. The PGA returns to an open shop and lets LIV players compete in PGA tournaments. (best solution) 2. The PGA and PIF merge and follow strict PGA Tournament rules and point systems. Then, the PGA takes as much Saudi money as possible, so the players will earn as much as they can. Adopt the shotgun start and increase the field size with a cut line. Adopt team play as a side game, long pants mandatory, and outlaw the loud playing of Euro-techno crap music from all venues. Lastly, there is a bare-knuckle cage match between Bryson and Rory. Happy New Year Hit em straight and not too often.
  9. I agree josh, great post. Golf is a personal test for me too. Yes the liv format sucks, I hate the music, shorts. But the competition is good. Hit em straight and not too often.
  10. I love capitalism and watching the invisible hand of the free market work its magic on the world of golf. That said, I would like to see LIV go to 4 day tournaments but that is wishful thinking. When the LIV offers Rahm 6 times his lifetime earnings of $50 Mill to play golf, how could someone say no? I am pissed at the PGA for killing their brand and thinking the laws of free market economics don't apply to them. So it goes. Right now my biggest worry is if I will shoot in the low 80s this afternoon and win a few nets and gross and win my 2-2-2 dollar auto press and pry a few dollars from my friends' wallets.
  11. Cnosil - That is a great question about why I chose the clubs to keep in my bag. My clubs are old and out of production, but we have a comfortable relationship. I love the loft and extra distance with my Rogue X. I confess - a 130 yard 9 iron does help my ego:)) My Ping driver is way long in the tooth but when I swing that smooth inside-out swing and maintain my balance, the ball goes as far or equal to my friends with newer equipment. My main battle however is repeating a controlled swing and even Freddie Couples driver wouldn't change a thing. A friend gave me the 64 degree wedge 15 or more years ago and its great in the bunker and hitting a high soft shot on the green when there is a tight pin. What is the story with your clubs Cnosil? Have a great weekend.

  14. Central Florida golf is fantastic. Teed off at 8:15 AM 50 degrees and 4 layers. Par'd the 18th at 11:50 with one layer. Have a great week!
