  1. Was the dollar amount the "fake news" or the prospect of him leaving for the LIV tour the fake news? I can see it happening since his Ryder Cup teammate Rahm left and Rory seems to be going to bat for Rahm to continue playing on the European team.
  2. I don't since they've seemed expensive and time consuming. Plus, the simulators around town have them so I'll use them during the off season. If they become affordable, as accurate as the ones around town, and easy to use/set up, I might add one to my wish list.
  3. congrats testers. This will be an interesting test and I'm looking forward to the reviews.
  4. Do the tracking apps slow down play for those using the apps. Sounds pretty labor intensive on the course.
  5. Does anyone have any suggestions for golf in Madrid in mid-April? I'll probably be golfing by myself and needing rental clubs instead of dragging mine through the airport. Any pointers are appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Thanks azstu324 for the tip. BOAs might be my next pair.
  7. I was considering the BOA type shoes recently but I have arthritis in both thumbs (one surgically repaired) so I was a little leery of always tightening and the wire breaking. From the above contributors, it looks like they really hold up well. Anyone with thumb problems using the BOAs? Thanks.
  8. In awe of @ole gray for this accomplishment. Congrats!! This is another goal of mine as well but I'm probably 15-20 years away so I'll have to stay in shape.
  9. Very interesting review on the creative way Makefield intends to get their putters in golfer's hands without brick and mortar stores. You made the process sound pretty easy and straightforward. Hope the company does well since they're going up against the big names.
  10. I like all the responses and it looks like there's a lot of pet peeves. Not sure if anyone mentioned playing partners that show up when we're next on the tee. They never change and then take multiple "breakfast balls" to warm up.
  11. Thanks for the update. Looking forward the update when the set up is more to your liking. Can't beat getting out to the range in February though.
  12. Unfortunately, I've found fitters can be different at the same store depending if I'm getting fitted or my wife is. This drove her crazy recently so if there's any fitters on this thread, make sure you pay attention to her just as much because that can cause her to leave the store. Like gingerbeast87 mentioned, finding a good fitter is like finding a good plumber...you'll tell everyone you know about them.
  13. Congrats to all the testers. It will be interesting to follow the reviews. Have fun.
  14. I tuned into the LIV tourney last weekend (since the PGA was dealing with nasty weather at Pebble Beach) and thought it showed some great golf. However, someone needs to take the controls away from the drone person. I almost got motion sickness when watching the hole previews. Do they need to fly 100mph down the fairway and end with several 360s around the green? Even David Feherty commented on it.
  15. I also took part in a PXG fitting but for the Gen6 311 driver so I haven't compared it with the Black Ops yet. My buddy went with the 311 XF (extra forgiving) and loves it. The fitter was very helpful and was able to dial in my strengths and weaknesses to find the correct loft (9 degree) and the shaft. I was used to playing the TaylorMade M2 and hitting it well but I read a lot of the hype so I wanted to check it out. I'm thinking about changing my hybrids next so if anyone has experience with PXG hybrids, I'd appreciate the feedback.
