  1. I have the mevo +. For the price, I have been overall very happy with it. It is very accurate with outdoor use and the portability is convenient. I do sometimes struggle with accurate reading when hitting into a net. After nearly every firmware update, I have to reconfigure my distances (monitor to ball, ball to net) for accurate readings.
  2. My two favorites that I have had/hit over the last several years have both been Taylormade. I loved my Sim 2. I eventually got a cracked face and it was replaced under warranty with the Stealth +. Currently still gaming the Stealth. The club is hot. I initially was hitting almost as long as my driver. I cut it down slightly and got it to a good number but it has been a great club for me.
  3. Mornings for competitive play for conditions. Twilight golf for pure enjoyment.
  4. Best recommendation I have is to do a proper fitting. I struggled greatly with my putting for a while. I was primarily in a Newport 1.2/2.5 style blade for many years. I wanted to move into something with a little more stability on imperfect strikes. I went with the Ping PLD Prime Tyne 4. Feels like a blade but has a little more forgiveness. Putted better but not great. During one round, the hosel of the putter just so happened to slam into my shoe (may or may not have been related to the prior putt). It bent my putter. I attempted to bend it back (at least to square). Since then, I have had some of my absolute best putting for almost a year at this point. I recently went and got the specs checked out during a full bag fitting. My putter is 3° upright (74°) and 2° of loft. Definitely not off the rack specs but these numbers fit very well for my stroke and I’m making putts more than I ever have. This info likely would have been realized if I did a full putter fitting in the first place.
  5. I build the grips myself and I’m very particular on how I do it so that part should be the same. Unsure about the epoxy as the adapter came attached from Callaway.
  6. I recently ordered a new driver. Specs below: new: Callaway AI Smoke TD 9°, Fujikura Motore F1 7-X, Golfpride Z Grip Align with custom built up tape. Old: Callaway Rogue ST TD 9°, Fujikura Motore F1 7-X, Golfpride Z Grip Align with custom built up tape. I ordered the new club with the same specs as my previous with one exception. In my Rogue, I tipped the shaft 1/2”. Both play at 45”. The shafts match with grip build and static weight. However, when I tried each shaft in the AI smoke, my tipped shaft comes in .5 heavier swing weight (D3.5 vs D3.0). I’m having a hard time comprehending where this difference is coming from.
  7. Update: I proceeded to order the black edition c taper 130x 3-SW (9 total shafts). Everything came in perfect with the exception of one shaft. It had a slightly bent tip. Package was not damaged so this appears to be a defect from the manufacturer. I contacted my KBS rep and they promptly sent out a replacement shaft.
  8. This is primarily what I have heard. That when club builders/fitters have received some orders, there is occasionally at least one bad shaft in the set that needs to be addressed and reordered. I like to do my own builds and this is my primary concern for when I get them in.
  9. It was in conversation with a couple different fitters. Several that I trust vs just trying to sell me on a service.
  10. I was fitted into a set of KBS C-Taper 130X iron shafts. I have heard that KBS is among the lowest rated in terms of tolerance standards and QC. I was wondering if this is still an issue and if it’s worth going through the process of having the shafts pured?
