Spent this afternoon in a Golf----- checking out the equpiment. Can't afford to buy a bag of tees, so all we can do is dream. Used to do this in sporting goods stores when I was 12 , too. Now I'm 54. Nothing was really changed. All this great stuff and no money to buy it.

What is up with the "limited flight" range balls? They did this for men's softball so people don't get killed, but we aren't shooting balls at people. (And no, I don't hit balls at the tractor either)

hckmeyer has a good point. Also, the range I use the most (best one) uses a lake with floating targets that are adjusted to various distances from time to time. That range uses floaters which are limited distance balls. Good news is that the balls float to the sides, picked up in nets, and are always clean.

OK, go to a website, find desired product, add to cart, go to checkout, enter wife's credit card. Shouldn't the internet vendor actually have the product in stock before they hit your card? Even go as far as shipping your product before they hit the card?

The dreaded dog days of dome have struck again. There are snow piles six feet high and two feet of snow everywhere, golfing seems so far away, like Florida.

Hope you got to enjoy it. My bro lives in Englewood, he fishes more than he plays golf.
Got to 34 today in MI, we're having a heat wave, literally 3 ft. of snow still on the ground, but there have been sighting of grass mostly under trees, good place to practice chipping.
Yesterday, more dome time, even the mats are tired of it, the automatic teeing machines are broken down, then I got kicked out because a cricket game, yes cricket, white sweater vests, the whole...

Got to play golf today, 9 holes, 1st time in 2013, we got only six months left to get it together, It was 48 degrees but sunny, with a chilly wind out of the east, which is weird for MI. But it was great to be out there.

No Fair, it won't stop raining, snowing, we will never be able to play real golf outside ever again. And I just can't go in that dome anymore, the bubble of gloom and darkness.

What's on your mind?

In Metro Detroit, the golf domes are under siege, they are being turned into soccer domes with range operation only in the AM, good for the retirees but us day workers are out of luck. Soccer makes more dollars than the large buckets do. Understandable but regrettable.
