  1. Same to you and yes , this Speed is a keeper......adding dimensions to my game that hasn't been since M3/S+ Limited 60R combo from 3-4yrs back...... We'll definitely sway a few folks to at least try the Epic Speed......
  2. I'm twice your age probably and nowhere your speed but I'm seeing very similar gains over my past few drivers...... Had original SIM 10.5* that was very steady and in the 225-240 range......problem was the occasional quick hook.....so the quest went on and next up was the tsi2 ......extremely steady and removed the hook but lacked pop...... A friend gifted me a gbb 10.5 epic and there were noticeable 5-10yd gains but spin was higher and into the wind I'd get killed. Went into superstore and tried the LS head and seemingly it was doing quite well....... on the monitor. Had a demo that I took out and it sounded horrible and flew erratically. In despair, I went back to "try" the Speed head......same footprint as gbb epic 17 . After just a few swings I could see the potential. Made the adjustments to -1D setting and it came alive.......I nearly drove a downwind par 4 320yds .....finishing 10yds short of front edge.... 290ish? It has continued we loads of 260, 270, 280yd drives especially downwind.....an xtra gear that I haven't seen or had in a long time.... For me , this is a reincarnation of my all-time favorite driver the R510 non-tp 330cc from 03-04......look, sound/feel, flight and footprint......with Speed being bigger, more forgiving and more stability......I've found MY unicorn......Tensei 65R AV blue D3 swingweight......
  3. TSI2, now with STOCK tensei blue 55R , just reclaimed top Dawg spot......confident fairway finder .....might not be as long downwind but consistency is where this club shines.....also found that a level tee height works much better than too high of a tee...... I'M BACK !!!!! says the TSI2 .......welcome home says me
  4. Only the gbb epic 2017 has given a run at TSI2.....getting another shaft into TSI2 to see if it helps with some very slight spin issues.....shaft in it (reign silver ) is accurate but can't keep up with distance gains of epic/ attas combo......major negative with that combo is into the fan.....really high and stinky
  5. April 15th .....a limited production of Epic Speed LS.....this is from what I've read/seen on the net
  6. Welp.....I've tried on 2 occasions now the epic lineup: speed is too light, MAX is too round looking But the MAX LS......lower spin, higher ballspeed and same tight dispersion as tsi2....8-10yds longer on monitor. Next step is to get on course
  7. I'm thinking 7wd ......haven't gotten along with hybrids, EVER!
  8. I'm back to prov1x primarily for launch and spin .....surprisingly good distance and feel Oh and I'm sloth speed btw.....
  9. Just an update......tried SIM, SIM2 and MAX also G425 max......none will unseat tsi2.... Last up is epic max The tsi2 is pretty much on cruise control.....fun!
  10. Took 10* tsi2 down to 9.25 * without any launch reduction but spin reduction for those into the fan shots......I hit tsi2 into places my best SIM driver finished.....ballspeed retention is amazing......I'm the type to use most of the face so that's a big factor!
  11. I'm an older lefty also and have one round with Demo TSi2 10* set to C-3(.75* up) I have a LAGP reign silver shaft 60R that fits my swing very well..... I don't wanna commit to it yet because other drivers have eye coming; G425 and epic max in particular, but despite not being a fan of stretched back deep cg heads, it's very hard to argue with results.....STABLE is the operative word!
  12. I'm currently demoing tsi2.....evidently I need pulled back CG head types...... #SHOOTOUT #TSI2VEPICMAX
  13. This is 3 pics of darts thrown in the past few rounds...... 9i from 120yd into the wind..... Gw from 108yd These are from same round and had another 4 within 8ft but bad greens 6i from 171yd......this started the trend also making me realize how stable these bats are.....effected very little by cross winds.... Now time to score!
  14. 3 rounds and can excitedly say, the T200 irons are PHENOMENAL! Despite strong lofts, I'm seeing a higher flight to go along with the extra 7-10yds
  15. Very, very short prose today. Wifey and I played an executive course today.....cheap fees and the course reflected it But my mind was strictly on T200s now that setup has been completed......refresh: got T200 4-gw with amt black r300......switched long irons (4-7) into amt red r300 also extending them 1/2" ; also extended short irons the same.....swingweight D2-ish throughout......I tried a pxg combo for a round quickly realizing that they weren't for me due to turf interaction primarily. So even with the shorter course , I could still see possibilities and drawbacks to T200s..... CONS: ******CRICKETS ******* Pros: solid feel through the bag Great looking in the bag Pleasant looking at address Turf interaction isn't a concern AT ALL The round was played under adverse conditions; winds steady at 20mph gusting upwards to 30mph......not the easiest atmosphere to try this new higher launching set! 1st hole: 140yd par 3 downwind......no warmup, unsure what to use....pull 9i and hitting a different ball to boot.....high and straight at 10ft making the putt 2nd hole is a par 5 that was into and across.....had 7i from thick st.augustine rough from 140......didn't come out well but got to greenside...... 3rd hole: 140yd par 3 smack into a 2-3 club wind.....again learning yardages and I hit solid 7i that ended up 20ft short 4th hole was 130 yd par 3 and hit 7i into a 2-3 club wind 5th hole was another par 5 but down and across. Hit a nice drive but pulled 4i to the right.....not well struck but serviceable. Didn't get up n down 6th hole .....120yd into and across. Hit prov1x into front bunker, pulled a Srixon XV out for giggles and got it about 25ft past the hole.... So now , I'm curious to see these two balls go head to head. 7th hole was 138 but downwind and now I'm thinking full bore pw.....just creeps on the front with prov1x but I missed the XV due to very poor setup 8th hole is a 155 yd par 3 across and a smidge down.....XV up first and with an 8i it flies high and true ....next up the prov1x is on the same line.....drive up to find V1x at 12ft and the XV long! 9th hole was a 400yd par 4 swirling winds.....mostly across but evidently back into .......hit 2 decent drives but XV was 8 yds further.....moved both balls to that location having 138 and hurting.....tried to flight a 7i and couldn't see where the XV ended up .with v1x I took a normal swing and saw it get just passed the pin.....drove up to find XV pin high 20ft 10th hole is the last of the par 5s......470 on card but don't think it's really that long.....hitting both again, I pulled the v1x and striped the XV ....had 165 to the pin as the crow flies ....the hole is a dogleg right with trees guarding the right. No hesitation on my part and I pull a 7i med high launch and the XV ends up 30ft past hole for an eagle look. The rest of the round went more or less with some good swings and some mediocre swings.....tried pressing a few irons into the wind but I'm certainly seeing that this new high launch strategy has its drawbacks......I still prefer the option to a have better decent angle and just overall a much better flight I feel. Playing again tomorrow on a my home track and ill really have a better idea of gains but I'm fully on board with team T200!
  16. Have you ever been to a Tour event? Those guys LAUNCH it! But they do flight their wedges situation dependent......if you can bring your flight down in the short irons, I wouldn't be overly concerned with any other club......except driver, if you're not getting runout with driver then a change might be needed.... Iron shots that use decent angle is a great way to play. What is your hdcp, 7i carry and swingspeed is known?
  17. Kinda late to the party......was happily playing Srixon combos Z585/Z785 but the feel of the undercut cavity in the z585 left doubt about long-term use...... Demo'd the new P770 with strong consideration given but my thought turned to pxg under the heroes program.....basically same price ,maybe better feel than 770.... Well that was short-lived as the pxg just didn't have turf interaction nor proper shaft for my game . Added to this was the fact of pxg being. 370 parallel hosel ; making shaft change a pain The other iron set consider was the T200......never a fan of the AP3 due to feel , this club surprised me......at first ,it appeared large in size but more of the actual shape which has a lower toe section than most irons. Found a set on ebay for 600 less than in store pricing. Reputable seller but still leery......amt black r300 T200 4-gw std L/L/L Took to range and first thing I NEEDED to see was launch of 4/5 irons......never been a hybrid guy but I don't have the speed required for good long iron play....A CONUNDRUM! Lol As expected, low,low and low......ugh.....no worries ! These are taper tipped hosels and shaft exchange will be a breeze.....discuss with club guy and he happen to have red amt r300 4-PW....... We start with 4/5 iron and right away a noticeable flight change for the good......fast forward where 6/7 get red amt also.......almost forgot, these get 1/2" over in length to boot..... Then the final piece is adding 1/2" to the remaining set(8-Gw) with current amt black I did note that the 6i felt clumsy and swingweight came in at D4.....8i D2.....so we'll pull grips and backweight the longer irons Then finally get on course Tuesday with detailed report to follow.....
