  1. This is all really great info! I really appreciate it folks. I may be able to put together two days for golf, but it’s not the sole purpose. Good excuse to go back! As of right now, I’m thinking Troon North-Pinnacle, and heading out for dinner together. I may try and do 36 on that day though, so maybe traveling to another course. I’ve never really travelled out of the Northeast for golf besides one trip to North Carolina. This has ignited a fire to do so, as well as really good conversations with my wife to travel more and include golf in the itinerary. Will have to come after the new baby gets settled of course. 2. Thanks gaussman1! Yeah, we’re there for six days, and most of it is filled already with non-golf activities (unfortunately). I’ll check out Grayhawk and the others. I did try to find out info on Ping and fittings, tours, etc. I read they have moved fittings offsite to their certified fitter locally. I’m going to take a swing though and email them to see what can be done. Even if it’s just a tour. I did a fitting at Titleist on Manchester Lane, and the tour of their ball research area was great. I like the idea of golf and then my wife can meet me for a nice dinner and sunset. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  3. My wife and I are expecting our second child in July, so we are taking one last big trip for awhile. We decided on Arizona (flying from NY). Opening up discussion here to my trusted advisors: I have one full day to myself (she’ll be at a spa) to golf and go to golf related places. What course should I play? Places to go? PXG? Troon North? TPC? I’ll be alone for the whole day, which I don’t mind. We’ll be splitting time in Sedona and Scottsdale. Thank you in advance! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. I am currently gaming the TEE CBX fairway and really like it. Let’s us know how it works for you. It will work more like a “sub zero” lower spin wood though, from what I’ve experienced. Before the CBX, I used a cobra fairway and it launched plenty high/tons of forgiveness. Cobra has been named numerous times here, so just wanted to add to that list! If you like the Adams hybrid, have you looked at their fairway woods? My favorite 5 wood of all time was a Tight Lies. Total mindless wonder. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. The company I used to work for had a factory in Lexington, KY that I took customers to every year. After the factory tour we always made our way to the Buffalo Trace Distillery where they make some of the best bourbon known to man. I was able to secure a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 18 yr, which was enjoyed over Thanksgiving with my two brothers. They are my closest and best friends, and it was truly a special experience with a special bourbon. I mixed the Pappy name with my last name: Roylance. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. MCaseyM, I really enjoyed the detailed, and long term, review. Thank you for sticking with things and keeping us updated. I would like to enter the hybrid giveaway! I am located in Albany, NY. I’ll send you confirmation of donation directly. Thanks again!! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. Went to a Titleist fitting in September and tried the TS2 and TS3. Rapidly disqualified the TS2 as it had too much spin for my swing. Went into TS3, the closed the face using the surefit hosel, changed the weight to draw, and I was hitting beautiful baby draws for the first time in my life! I was actually about to tear up right there on the range. I’m in a Nike VR Pro driver with Nunchuck shaft right now with 108 swing speed. After the Titleist rep laughed at my driver and shaft, they put me in an evenflow white x-stiff (6.5) because of my quick tempo. I was able to slow down to almost 100 mph, and hit it the same distance as my current driver except with much better consistency. I view that as a win for me and Titleist with the TS3 and that shaft. I’m going to save up for it and try to find one gently used next spring. It delivered on their message/hype. Also had an Epic driver at one point, and I prefer the TS3 sound/hosel capability/ and weight system. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  9. Ordered the the Snell MTB Black and Red Test Pack, with 6 balls each. Very excited, as this is my first time using Snell balls. Thank you MGS members for all the reviews that turned me on to Dean and what he produces! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  10. Northway 8 Golf Center. Off exit 8 on i87. Call before as they may not have the range open with too much snow on the ground. Called today actually, and they're going to try and open back up tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  11. I'll be sure to provide updates as well, thanks Wedgie! Thinking I'll be pulling the trigger on a single length hybrid based on reviews and your feedback once I get a better idea on gapping. Very excited to put this all in play. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. Thanks Wedgie, enjoyed the initial thoughts. I just received a set of f8 single length 5-GW, coming from JPX900 forged as well!! I think based on this and other reviews, I'll be ordering the 4H. Had one session at the range to test yardages, and I really enjoyed the whole set except the 5 iron, for some reason I was hitting a big weak fade/slice. Thinking maybe I tried to compensate for the “shorter” length, knowing it was a 5 iron, I was moving only this club way up in my stance and swinging harder. I think if I trust the single length and am consistent in setup, then issues will start to lessen. I like how you talked about ARCCOS as well, I haven't been anywhere but the range (heated range in upstate NY), so I'm anxious to pair and test it out. Overall, my biggest impression and excitement is that these single length sets and ARCCOS really combine as a “system” for increased consistency and feedback for improvement of scores. I need to trust in this combination, as well as just the system that one length provides: one setup, one swing. Looking forward to more GIR and getting my first putts into malleable territory. 13. Cobra F8 One Length Irons 5-GW. So far so good with one length at the (heated) range. Evnroll ER7 (based on MGS reviews of course). Want to compare this mallet to my Sentio blade. Found a deal on a Nike VR Pro Driver with Nunchuck shaft for $60! I don't care about the driver, just really wanted to try the shaft. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
