  1. I have been rocking a set of Nike Lunar Controls for a long time. They never failed me, always were comfortable and kept my feet dry. There was a gap of getting out on the course for a bit so that probably allowed me to get some more life out of them. I also got a set of Nike Roshe spikeless shoes a few years ago that I mainly use for the range or simulator. They do the job but I am concerned how they would feel during a full round. Light, comfy enough for limited use. The Lunar Controls are still are an amazing shoe but I have been debating a LONG time of getting a new pair to add to the mix. The whole 'need vs want' argument came into play for a while, surprised I held off this long. Finally I went on a bit of a shopping spree this past weekend to prep for a golf trip next week. Wanting to be prepared with a another set of shoes just in case (and use it as an excuse to get new shoes) I FINALLY made a purchase. I tried on quite a few options and were quite disappointed in a lot. Either super narrow or just uncomfortable. In the end I got the PUMA ProAdapt Alphacats. First set of PUMAs ever for me so I am excited to see how they work out.
  2. I know it's not equipment, but I have been debating getting a summer membership at the local Xgolf. 20 hours from now until October 1st which should be easy to use up. I like the fact that you can do a driving range session and/or play a round. Anyone else fans of Xgolf???
  3. Been a while since I provided any updates but the last year has kept things super low key. Still nothing major to report, besides some new balls and a new grip on my putter. Debated for a while of going with a new putter or driver, but after testing the Mavrik (no major gains in distance or forgiveness) I wasn't overly impressed so I held off of that option. Then decided to hold off on a new putter until I was able to improve my overall game more and play more frequently. Talk about self control! I have always liked the bigger grip on the putter (something I realized AFTER buying my first 'new' putter) so I went with a Super Stroke Traxion Pistol GT 2.0 Putter Grip. I recently changed my grip with my putting and really liked how this fit. Excited to put it to use! Besides that, I was gifted 2 new cases of balls: Callaway SuperSoft MAX and Bridgestone e12 Contact. Two totally different types of balls but they were a random surprise from my FIL to try out and maybe improve some of my game. Having a TON of balls (all kinds) I tried to hold off on buying any new ones the past year. My goal was to hone in on a certain type and stick with that. Shockingly, I stuck with that game plan and can honestly say I haven't purchased any balls in over 1 year. Opening a nice, new, fresh box was nice after all that time, no matter what kind of ball it was!
  4. Most likely going to add a new grip on my putter. I’ve changed my thought process for my gear this year and decided to put off a new driver purchase (for now). I have been wanting to add an oversized grip to my Odyssey White Hot RX V-Line Fang 35" for a while. The stock grip just feels way to small. A quick way to burn through some gift cards to DSG. Thinking of going with Super Stroke Traxion Pistol GT 1.0 Putter Grip. Anyone have any feedback on making the change or experience with these grips? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. Have $125 to burn at DGS so I stopped by yesterday for the first time in over a year. Was debating on playing it safe and go with some new pants for the course and work... but then I wandered by the clubs. I have been wanting to move on from my TM M2 D-type and saw the price point for the SIM along with the Soeedzone, G410, Mavrik, and hell the Rogue was a steal. Didn’t pull the trigger, but planning on going back today! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. Has anyone out there tried out the TRUE eco knit shoes??? I have been eyeing them up for a while and they have sweet deal going on right now. Might make a random purchase with a second pair for free! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. So I recently took part in a DSG focus group and got a $125 gift card for participating in it. Add that to the some birthday money I stashed away for some gear, it’s time to finally spoil myself. It’s been over a year since I have actually purchased any new golf gear do I think it’s time. I mean I have been good and waited long enough, right? -New bag? Looking maybe a stand bag to replace a old used one I was given years ago. -New shoes? Could go with new spiked shoes, my Nike Roshe spikeless are practically new. -New driver? Thinking about moving on from my TM M2 Dtype Great problems to have I guess! 8. Nice pick up! When I started getting into golf more, this was the first club I bought brand new. My bag was compiled of used clubs and only had an old Mizuno 4W that I struggled with like crazy. It was right before they released the F7 line so the price-point at DIck's was perfect. My only problem was that I didn't think enough about the shaft and ended up with a regular flex which caused struggles in the beginning. I could hit it far, but direction/accuracy struggled. Ended up upgrading to a stiff flex which made a big difference. Still in my bag today and is tied for the oldest club in the bag!
  9. Thank you all! Just checked-in for the first time in about a week and saw the birthday wishes. Really appreciate it!
  10. I think you'll be pleasantly happy with your purchase. I have a much older model of this bag and it has held up very well. The new version looks even better. I never used it with a push cart. I did prefer using my Callaway Org 14 cart bag when I did ride for obvious reasons.
  11. Any specific reason why??? Looks like that one is around $100. Seen some at that price, above, and below. Jus trying to see what others have liked/disliked and if it’s worth it in the end. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. My birthday is coming up and my wife is looking for something to get me. She actually mentioned the idea below... Slowly but surely my collection of balls, shoes, bags, clubs, etc has grown and I have attempted to keep things in one spot. But with a certain area not dedicated for it, along with the invasion of kids stuff in the garage, I need something to organize my golf gear. Anyone have any suggestions of what they use or heard good reviews on. Not sure MGS has done a “Most Wanted” for this category so I could use some help! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  14. Tempted to try out the MD CB wedge. My current sand wedge needs to be upgraded but I am starting to use it less as I turn to my new MD4 60* more often. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
