  1. Fresh air, exercise, being with buddies, and an athletic challenge that isn't likely to break your ankles or tear up your knees as you get older. No matter how good or bad you are, you compete against yourself, just like everybody else. How could you not love that? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  2. Loved skiing Sunday River. I'll take it over Sugarloaf any day. I grew up just north of the Waterville area, and my family is originally from the Fox Islands. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  3. Hello from Southwest Florida. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  4. Welcome from another former New Englander. I haven't shoveled any snow since I moved to Florida.[emoji16] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome from Clan MacKinnon. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  6. I have to second the Pinnacle. Makes my hands hurt just thinking about hitting one of those. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  7. I didn't get to watch, but I was listening on my ride home. My wife called just as they were getting ready for 2nd shots on 18 and it overrides my Bluetooth audio. Talk about timing. By the time I got off the phone, it was all over. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  8. Welcome from a former Maineiac. First 45 years of my life. What area? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  9. Welcome from another relatively high scorer. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  10. The "two-woods" can be found in the bargain rack at Goodwill.[emoji3] As a lefty, it's my go-to place for scrounging. About 18 months ago I found an old Penick metal driver. Smaller head but taller face than my 3 wood, 12*, stiff steel shaft. I hit it better off the deck than my 3w or hybrid's, and it pretty much keeps up with most of my buddies off the tee. I still pull my Cleveland Hi-Bore when I can, but I play a bunch of courses where the Penick is perfect. I don't care what name it has on it, what it looks like, or how old it is. I just want it to work. For $1.99, you can't beat it
  11. The old reliable 2 iron from my Ping Eye2 set. (Good from the tee and the deck, it's never leaving my bag.) Ping i20 7 iron TM Burner PW Cleveland Oil Can 60* My putting stinks so bad, I'd probably be just as well off to putt with my 2 iron, or use the back of the 7 iron and putt right-handed (I'm a lefty.) 12. True story: when I was much younger, I had a friend whose father carried a 3w, 7 iron and putter. That's it. A couple of golf balls and tees in his pocket, and those clubs in his hand. No bag. I was too little to remember, but my father tells me he was one of the best and most consistent players at our local 9 hole. I've wondered many times if I should cut back on the number of clubs I carry, and work on hitting about half as many really well. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  13. My cousin has had Jack Russells for almost 30 years. His daughter brought home the first one and he started calling him Wimpy, making fun of it. Took about a month, and he and the dog became inseparable. Dog went lobstering with him every day. He won't have another breed now. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  14. On behalf of Clan MacKinnon, welcome aboard. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  15. Me, too. Played the absolute best round of my life in a torrential downpour when I was about 24. I think it has to do with having something else to focus on that loosens up my game. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  16. I get it. I just realize there's a huge group that also are missing 2 (or more) final four teams at this point. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  17. When I start considering new equipment, I realize I don't have the money and I should just learn to use what I've got. I doubt there's anything out there that's going to cure what ails my game. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  18. I have an app on my phone I use to store passwords, and my wife has the same. It's unlikely that we'd both lose them at the same time. Passwords are a bummer to lose. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  19. That would be nice. Hope you didn't have a bunch of stuff that you wanted that's gone forever now. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  20. That's the way I look at it. Most "upsets" will upset most people, which means most brackets are basically the same. A busted bracket only matters if you're trying to be perfect. You only have make bogey if everyone else makes double. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  21. That hurts. Been there, done that. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  22. That's what I'd do. Seems like the best option to me. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  23. I did. About the only thing I got right. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  24. I know I could get them in left somewhere, but probably not for 15 bucks. I'm all about the money savings, as well.[emoji41] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  25. Sounds like my experience with hybrids. I've tried several times to move to one, but none of them have managed to kick my 2 iron from my old Eye2 set out of my bag. I'll take a little shorter and lower, but straighter, all day long. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
