  1. What an insightful and articulate response. You're exactly right. I've never played with anybody who didn't hit both shots they were disappointed in and shots they were thrilled with. It usually happens to me on the same hole. (Today I stuck it about 15 feet on a 135 par 3 and proceeded to 3 putt.) And, like you said, everyone walks off thinking they could have been a couple of strokes better, no matter their level. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  2. Well, I went to the course today and covered all the ground, but you could hardly call what I did today "playing golf." Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  3. If the F6's have any good juju left in them, you could send them 90 miles south[emoji12] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  4. Outstanding. I need someone to tell me I can only go 50%. I probably would be more consistent. [emoji6] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  5. Last thing I do before my takeaway. It's a combination relaxation / rhythm thing. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  6. It goes so fast... My grandson is 5 and will probably turn 12 in a couple of days. Enjoy it while you still can. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  7. That's the funniest thing I've read today. Outstanding response. [emoji23] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  8. That's what I had been told. We leave the black racers alone for that very reason. I don't like snakes at all, but if they keep the rattlesnakes away, we can coexist. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  9. Ahh, my first gun. When I started hunting, my dad got me a 410 and some slugs. As good as a rifle in the brush. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  10. I kinda got stuck on the 9mm thing. I completely agree with the not wanting it to eat the Cardinal eggs. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  11. Go easy on the black racer. The word down this way is they keep the venomous snakes away. As in, black racers = no rattlesnakes. Don't know for sure that it's true, but I've heard it many times. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  12. I'd be in on that!! Right around my cousin's wedding in North Dakota too, I think. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  13. You all can tell me to stuff it if you don't want to go down this road, but speaking of Episode I, did it occur to anyone else that maybe QUEEN Amidala might have been able to scrape together the resources to arrange for the release of Anakin's mother? Might have saved the universe a lot of hassle. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  14. Here's a late afternoon pic from my grandson's one hole golf course (Carter Country Club.) I love the fact that he loves to swing that club so much. He'll spend HOURS out there hitting those foam golf balls. He makes contact almost 100%, too. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  15. Played one of those rounds today that seemed to be a scramble basically from start to finish. The only shot I remember thinking was what I really wanted was my drive on 18. I cut a corner, carried about 250 and landed it on the green. Everything else seemed to be off. I had a few GIR with 3 putts, and several one putt pars. I was really surprised to add it up and only see a 90. If you had asked before I did the math, I would have said 110. I guess all the scrambling made it seem worse than it was. 16. Yeah, what he said! [emoji41] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  17. I will. I just haven't been in a hurry because of the mixed reviews. I'm sure I'll like it enough if it advances the plot. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  18. I agree. I thought Rogue One was very good. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  19. Please just tell me it's not as bad as a movie featuring Jar Jar Binks. If it's not that bad, I can probably stand it. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  20. Don't tell me that! [emoji22] I love Star Wars, and I've heard mixed reviews about The Last Jedi. I've put off seeing it because I'm afraid of feeling exactly like that. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  21. I was so put-off by them, that I really haven't considered them since. It took me a while to get any type of confidence with my driver, and it's the only graphite shaft in my bag. I really need to go somewhere and test them out, I guess. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  22. Seems like it's time for me to try graphite shafts again. You all make them sound really good. I tried some in some Callaway irons about ten years ago, and couldn't do anything with them. They're probably better now than they were then, huh? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  23. I'm with you. When I'm in a fitness mode, I have to weigh every day. If's the only way I stay focused, and it helps me decide what's working and what isn't. It also irritates my wife, who believes in the once per week weighing, which is an added bonus. [emoji12] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  24. My cousin has had Jack Russells for almost 30 years. His daughter brought home the first one and he started calling him Wimpy, making fun of it. Took about a month, and he and the dog became inseparable. Dog went lobstering with him every day. He won't have another breed now. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  25. Me, too. Played the absolute best round of my life in a torrential downpour when I was about 24. I think it has to do with having something else to focus on that loosens up my game. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
