  1. For $400, you could probably piece together a decent set. Callaway Preowned is doing up to 35% off right now, and even if you miss that sale, they constantly have good deals on great quality used clubs. Facebook Marketplace can be your friend as well. I've seen some really good deals on full sets there over the years.
  2. I don't even want to *go* to that website, never mind price out stuff on there LOL!
  3. I filled it out, feels like the survey might be weighted towards a certain brand...
  4. Great writeup and review. I, like a lot of others, have landed on the Maxfli Tour (S in my case) as my ball for the season, so unfortunately I have no feedback on the Triad.
  5. Congrats all! This is definitely one of the more unique opportunities here on MGS, I'm excited to see everyone's sets and hearing about how they perform.
  6. Congrats all! Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the v5.
  7. I'm going with the better dispersion - irons are scoring clubs, if they're tighter and are putting you in spots where you want to be, regardless if you need more club, to me that's the way to go.
  8. First range session of the year is in the books. I mostly hit wedges and short irons to just get things to come back to me along with a few drivers, then spent some time in the short game area with my son putting and chipping.
  9. I need some sort of warm up, so I try and get there 30 mins prior at the very least. If they have a range, I'm hitting a small bucket to get loose and see what swing/shot shape showed up that day (and odds are I'm leaving balls in the bucket since it's just a warm up not a practice session). I'll also putt and chip a bit if possible. If there's no range, I'm swinging the Orange Whip and putting.
  10. Most I pay is $80, and I'm usually more in the $50 range. I walk 9 holes after work once per week at a smaller course for $15. Plenty of good value courses out there, depending on your location.
  11. It's very, very rare for me to drool over bags. They've never been my "thing". That has changed after this thread.
  12. I used to go driver to HyWood, but I'm also just a mere mortal. Now I have the Mizuno ST-Z lofted up to 4w range based on my fitting and it gets the job done, and done well.
  13. Interesting that this thread got bumped - feels like after the initial release and promo talk about these new Adams clubs died down quickly. Everything pointed to them being really solid and well priced but once the launch talk died down… that was the end of it.
  14. Good morning everyone! I'm back in the office after being in Ohio the past week for WGI World Championships with the kids. They ended up in 4th place overall in the hardest scholastic division, couldn't be prouder of them. And on the good news front - I just got the call from the dealership that the engine on my car is being replaced under warranty and I'll have it back later this week. Outstanding!
  15. That's one heck of a group of testers. Congrats all!
  16. Congrats all! Also, I am 100% jealous, because these bags are gorgeous. You all had better give us LOTS and LOTS of pics!
  17. Congrats all! Looking forward to your reviews.
  18. Freddie forever. Max Homa for the current gen is one I really like a lot.
  19. 100% honesty - I very rarely pay attention to the grind. I do play CBX wedges, and have since they came out, so that's probably part of it.
  20. Morning all! I'm stuck at home with no car, which is being towed to the dealership as we speak (...er, I mean as I type and as you read) to see if they'll potentially replace the engine under warranty due to MANY well documented issues covering the exact problems I've had. In the meantime I'll be in and out of meetings and calls, as I prep to get everything I can done work-wise before leaving for the annual Ohio trip with the kids for World Championships next week. No rest for the weary, I guess!
  21. Hole 7 at Whaling City GC is a 550 yard par 5 with a forced layup off the tee, then a 180 yard carry over water before being faced with an elevated green protected by trees on both sides. It's a PITA hole that I've only ever parred once in all the years I've been playing there. It always eats my lunch.
