  1. Those look like they've seen a few rounds.
  2. Forgot to mention, I still have a set of Vokey SM7 wedges that I would probably still be playing if it wasn't for the SnakeBite wedges in my bag. I almost chimed in on this but... Lawn mower.
  3. @Samuel09152I'm glad to hear the good news about your pup, things like that are scary because they're just such good souls and you never want to have anything bad happen to them. @GolfSpy_KFT I'm glad you got good news on your youngest!
  4. I missed the first half of the call dealing with having to make a claim on my car. It was a great listen as I was mowing the yard and I was living in fear I would hit the unmute button and y'all would hear the mower running. Calls with representatives of OEM's are always informative and thanks for setting this up, @GolfSpy_APH.
  5. I saw an Twitter post yesterday and it was looking for 4 people to test the Vokeys, I thought it might be a mistake to post so early.
  6. Good morning everyone! It's crazy to wake up and see two amazing member testing opportunities from Vokey and Stix. The forum staff are really killing it this year! I might be able to listen in on the community call this evening, I've got to do yard work in a bad way and can't put it off any longer. The yard is looking like a jungle and driving me nuts. I hope you all have a great Thursday!
  7. @Tom the Golf Nut... Ouch, that hurts and the fact you have to wait 26 days to get one is insane! @GolfSpy_KFT awesome win on the Darkspeed driver! I can't wait to see the pics and I love it has the same matte carbon top as the King Tec hybrid. I'm trying to narrow down the lawn mower issues and I pulled the fuse and it was fine. I also checked the blade engage switch and tried looking for the ground and couldn't find it. It's cool, I have a self propelled mower I can use and I'm going to call someone to give it a look over. I might build vehicles, but I'm ignorant when it comes to repairs so I need someone smarter than me. I'm still waiting to hear about my car, I know they've driven it because I'm stalking it on car-net.
  8. @CSiders12 I'm very sorry to hear about your nephew, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
  9. Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a look and see what I can find! I should have checked a couple more things before I put the solenoid back in because it was a PITA to get it set back to the frame. I hope the fix lasts until you can get it taken care of, water leaks are no joke.
  10. Good morning everyone! It's a lovely, cool morning here and I'm just taking it easy before the long trek into work. My coffee is going down good and I'm just catching up on the happenings of the forum. I haven't gotten any news on what's going on with my car and hopefully they have at least gotten an idea of what's going on with it. I just want it to be trustworthy driving to the forum trip. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Oh... @ILMgolfnutI watched part of the Bryson video and it was pretty interesting. I'll have to finish it tonight.
  11. This is making me look forward to Kingsmill even more and I don't think anyone mentioned we'll also have some of the Autoflex testers representing there, both will be cool to see in person. I've of the big things I'll be curious about with this test is it Callaway's claim of more ball speed and distance on bad strikes is true. I know you guys are going to center every strike, so could y'all make sure to hit some off the toe and heel for science?
  12. @Tom the Golf Nut, man I hate hearing about the issues with your car. Transmission repairs are no joke and wouldn't you know it goes out right before you pay it off? I haven't heard anything on mine, so I'm hoping they say least for an idea on what's going on. I've got to also get my lawn tractor running because my yard is a mess and it looks like I'm going to have to push mow it. I got a new battery and just replaced the starter solenoid and I can't get a peep out of it as far as starting. Looks like I'm going to have to find someone to fix it. Yay. @Tom the Golf Nut
  13. Looks like we've got a great group of testers for this one. I hope y'all have some fun with it and congratulations on being chosen!
  14. Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful, cool morning and I'm just hanging out in my wife's car before work. Hopefully I'll find something out about mine today and I hope they find something as the warning went off before I got it towed. I don't want to be driving something that might mess up on me. I hope you all have a great day!
  15. I'm just now getting on the forum, I've had an adventurous evening and not in a good way. I left work and started to get in the interstate when my car decided to get a case of the rumbles, it felt like I was driving in the rumble strip on the side of the road. I saw the check engine light and an EPC warning along with "auto stop/start not working". Fortunately, there's another exit two miles down and a Walmart there. I called the wife to come pick me up and roadside assistance to get the car. We drove to the dealership after getting the car towed and I should have taken the left at Albuquerque. Instead, I hit Bonny Oaks drive which was not Shallowford road. My wife says not to worry, we can take Hickory Valley and cut across. Unfortunately, making a left there was brutal. The intersection had a red light, but coming from my direction it didn't have a turn light. I waited three turns off the light before I just kind of blew the thing. I had been waiting for around 10 minutes and the wife suggested the suicidal maneuver. I got to the dealership where I was hoping to get a loaner car while mine was being repaired, but they don't loan cars to employees. That was a waste of time. We had to stop and pick up dinner and now I've eaten and cleaned up for tomorrow. I'm going to be driving the wife's car tomorrow since I didn't want to deal with the leasing company simply because I've heard that there's 12 people in line for a loaner ahead of me. Hopefully they'll get the car back on the road quick.
  16. @Josh Parker I hope you get to feeling better.
  17. Good morning everyone! It's a bit cooler this morning than it has been and it's nice not to have some rain in the forecast. It was a good weekend since I was able to get out and play and while I didn't score well, it was awesome to be out on the course. I hope y'all have a great start to your week!
  18. I appreciate it @CFreddie! I'm hoping to keep the momentum going throughout the year and surpass the goals I set forward.
  19. It's still early in the season but I wanted to update this thread on how I'm doing on achieving the goals I set out at the end of last year for this year. 1. Play more I'm off to a good start with this one, even though I've had some health setbacks the last few weeks that have hurt the number of rounds I've played. I'm not sure where the round count stands as of right now, but I have been able to get out on the course more since the start of '24 than I did in the last five months of '23. 2. Play more with friends This has been the goal I've probably done the best on this year. My friends and I have been able to play around five times so far this year and this season is still young. I find that it's a lot more relaxing playing with others and I'm a lot more gentle with myself around other people. 3. Play new to me courses So far, I've only gotten to play one new course and that was yesterday at Olde White Oak which I really enjoyed and plan on going back to. It was fun and now that I've seen the course I think I might be able to formulate a plan to play it better. I'm not worried about meeting this goal since the forum trip is coming up at the end of May and that'll put me at 4 courses this year. 4. No real scoring goal This one hasn't changed much and I would still be happy to get back to the level I was at in 2019. I don't know if this will happen but I'm determined to improve. I just did a calculation of my handicap of the last 19 rounds I've been able to dig up and the handicap is sitting at a 31.5 which is a little saddening to me. I am seeing improvements in my game and hope I can build on this positivity moving forward.
  20. I family got caught back up on this thread and read the introductions that have been posted recently and will say, you guys are killing it. All the mock ups that @jbernhas posted up have been insane and interesting. I would have a hard time just choosing between the 33 options they have on their website. Personally, I like the T alignment. I'm looking forward to your putters arriving and seeing how they improve your games.
  21. That looks great! I like the gazebo and how it's got the netting around it to keep the pesky critters out.
  22. I think the big issue was not being able to get my phone to connect to the GPS, I tried connecting and it just kept looking for a signal. I loved the 8th, it reminded me of the hole at the Gatlinburg municipal with the elevated tee shot. I didn't play any of the par three holes well, but at least I played this one better than the 10th. After this round, it's going to be interesting to see how high I score at RNK and Kingsmill. The rating and slope are 67.2/114 and so I have a feeling I might shoot 200 at RNK.
  23. That's motivation enough not to do it, I hate dealing with skeeters. Those boogers are vile and evil.
