Super interesting video, but of course it would be. Would really love to see them not do a premium expensive shaft (I fully understand why they do...) and something, PLB preferred, cheaper and compare to Autoflex, Vanquish, etc. To Dream a dream

I'm speculating here.. but I'm guessing that a brand like TXG probably doesn't benefit much from pushing $50 shafts

The whole dynamic gold AMT (ascending mass technology) is based on this. Not crazy at all. I switched my “4 iron” from a Mizuno M18 MMC Fli-hi with a modus 105x (113g I think) to a TM GAPR lo 4 utility with a kbs hybrid shaft to gap that distance better between my 5 iron (also a fli-hi) and next club.

So I have heard... however, I always have twisted with the adapter and no issues on my limited experience. My opinion is it is more of a heat thing, be careful with the heat and you will be fine.
(I have also pulled quite a few head off graphite shafts without a shaft puller, I don't twist the heads when I do it but its always worked, I guess I am a rebel...lol)
And apologies all, I don't think this belongs in this topic.
On another note - my Graffaloy PLB 44g A flex arrived at my club today, excited to go pick it up... if only there wasn't 2 feet of snow on the ground. Its gonna be a long wait!

100% agree, I ruined 2 nice graphite driver shafts with heat when I started. But in my defense I was using a crow bar and needed more heat to move the head an 1/8 of a inch at a time, since I started using my version of the shaft remover I use a 1/4 of that heat because I have constant pressure pushing on the head easy peasy...

Never had an issue. Pretty sure I have done most major brands too. Again, I go super light on the heat to start, attach the club head to twist and usually the first couple times, nothing happens, so remove the head, kiss with the flame again and try try again till it works.
I had a friend try this method though and he was too aggressive and browned the adapter (nothing a little sharpie couldn’t fix) and frayed the shaft tip (was a fujikura vista pro shaft I believe) which resulted in a tipped driver shaft turned 5 wood shaft, oops.

I have just followed this to pull adapters, never had an issue (probably done 10-15 and I just go really easy on the heat, usually have to heat a couple times). Way easier then anything else I have done

I sourced the Graffaloy Prolaunch and it was $99 up here in Canada.

End of the golf season for me so had to use up my gift cards for 2022. Didn't know what to use the GC's for so wrote my pro and ordered the 44g Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue in A flex to try this out. Current game an 65g M4 (Stiff) Accra Tour Z ST in an 10.5 M2 lofted down to 8.5. Curious if I end up buying a lower lofted head to further experiment with this set up. I have played loft as low as 7 deg before without much concern for carry distance.
Excited to try it when it arrives and I can golf again, in April/May, lol. Gonna be really hard to pry that Accra outta my hands, after increasing the SW to D6 at the beginning of the season I have been "back" to driving it extremely well. But tinkerers be tinkerers.

Extremely cool test. Immediately began looking at the Graffaloy ProLaunch 45 up here in Canada. I'd be very curious if you experiment with a light grip (e.g. GP Tour 25) to bring the SW back up and see what, if anything, that does. My immediate fear for my own game is the left ball with that lower SW. I play my driver at SW of D6 and found that eliminated left for me. I can definately see myself trying something like this out!

I think I have a winner!
Garaffalloy GWX A flex 52g. Took it to the launch monitors tonight to compare it with the PLB. #'s were super close between the GWX and PLB but the GWX just edged it out. Flight was just a hair lower and spin was right at 2k. As crazy as it sounds, it felt a little smoother. The PLB already feels fantastic so I thought that expecting it to feel any better would be asking too much. I think it's the slightly softer mid that just gives it a smoother feel. Both shafts can handle a full bore swing without issue. Honestly had I never even known about the GWX, I would have been 100% satisfied with the PLB. The killer looks of the black and silver on dark grey carbon with the lower flight and spin and just the extra touch of slightly smoother profile gave the win to the GWX.
Can't wait to get this to the course!

The answer is YES 😜
Albeit the performance difference was probably negligible, what tipped the scale ever so slightly was the slightly smoother bend and the murdered out look.
The race was so close though that I'll be keeping both shafts in the bag for a bit. I know the Blue performs on the course so the Black has to mind it's business or it could easily get benched
I'll say this about the GWX (the Blue wasn't far off), that out of about 60 shots last night I don't think that more than 5 were outside of the 300 yd green area. I even had a few almost go in the hole. That's a tight pattern right thur! Spin was also very consistent staying between 1900 and 2100 RPM's.
Playing Saturday so if the GWX performs, that should pretty well button things up for me.
