  1. Thanks, I love it. I have used it for a few rounds now and it just feels so solid and soft...if that makes sense. The ball rolls beautifully off of the face and it's slight toe hang works well with my stroke. It is such a well put together putter! Unfortunately now my course has aerated the greens so, there's that! haha
  2. I have always liked the CAO brand, Brazilia to be exact. I probably only smoke once a year anymore. I used to smoke more and loved CAO's, Rocky Patel's (Drew Estates) and Cohiba's.
  3. The Garmin s20 also does club tracking I believe.
  4. I saw the s40 as well and think it looks great! It cost 300. I have never had a gps watch and decided to buy an s20 for $130. I figured I would try that out and see actually how much I really use it and how accurate it really is ( I hear they are pretty good). If I find that I am using it a lot then maybe I will upgrade to the s40.
  5. Start by playing the one that feels best to you when putting! After that, determine what you like as far as spin around the greens. Don't worry about the driver. The short game is where balls matter most. You don't want to play a ball that spins a lot off the wedges one round and then play a ball that rolls out the next. You can't go wrong here.
  6. After a very long and lengthy process and endless questions and research I decided to buy a new putter. I have been a life long Scotty Cameron putter guy. I have had various different shapes and styles of Scotty's through the years and have loved them all. My most recent gamer was the old Del Mar. I just love the head shape on that thing. Towards the end of last year I started missing a lot of putts that I felt I should be making, so naturally doubt started to creep into my head. I don't know about you, but once that gets in there, the club becomes dead to me. haha. I found this site and started reading a lot of posts regarding putters. As far as I was concerned, I was just going to get another Scotty. Low and behold, I kept seeing talk about Evnroll. It seems that almost everyone on here loves Evnroll. I watched reviews online and even watched on YouTube Mr. Rife explain the technology. I was intrigued to say the least. Now, being in Delaware and not having a lot of specialty golf stores around, I went on the hunt for Evnroll putters. I happen to have found Golf Galaxy carried them so I went to hit some to see what the fuss was about. I went with all intentions of switching to Evnroll if they felt half as good as to what everyone was saying. Long story short, I hit all the models they had, but below the Evnroll putters they had Bettinardi's line of putters. So I tried those too. I am so glad that I did! I picked up the Studio Stock #3 and have NEVER felt a putter this nice! The first thing I have to say about this putter is how great the finish looks on this. I absolutely love the gunmetal look. The head shape and set up are also right up my alley and the set up was perfect right out of the gate. This is the 35" model (I usually hit 34") but this one just fit!!! The head weight is perfectly balanced with a slight toe hang which fits my small arc swing path. Now the feel...ohhhhhh momma, the feel! This putter feels incredibly soft and forgiving. It lets you know where on the clubhead you hit your putt. The sound off the putter is a muted thud and not a high click sound like most Scotty's. I have so much confidence standing over any putt now it's amazing. I'm sorry Scotty, you make good putters, but to me, they don't compare to this Bettinardi! Evnroll, you come in second.
  7. Search Evnroll putters in the search bar, most people in here LOVE Evnroll putters. You will see tons of reviews and info on them.
  8. Nice job! Can't wait to hear how you like it on the course!
  9. I'm with ya Ole Gray! I wish I was precise enough to hit an EXACT number but I'm not! haha
  10. I just use the Grint for tracking my shots, The watch will also do this from what I understand. I am pleased though to hear your opinion regarding trust. Garmin has been doing this from the beginning.
  11. I have always used a laser and love their versatility, meaning I can shoot the flag, a rock a tree or whatever. I have always been intrigued by the watches though. I use The Grint and have the GPS function on there which is pretty good, it just drains my phone battery very fast so I am trying to get away from that.
  12. So I am thinking about pulling the trigger on this bad boy. Looks amazing and I don't have a gps unit that is not my phone. My laser died and don't want to spend 500 to replace it. How do you guys like the watches? Any feedback would be great! This one is selling for 299.
  13. hahaha, I would not mind if football was year long!
  14. Being a relatively new member here, and reading a lot of interesting and well written posts, I wonder what does everyone do for a living? How many golf professionals are here, who is in the corporate world, who is retired? Just curious and figured for some this could also be a good tool for other, this can be an area to get other advice or networking opportunities. I love the atmosphere here at MyGolfSpy, I don't get the feeling of being inferior or looked down upon by people in the golf industry. Thank you all for that! I hope others feel the same! I am a middle school science teacher. Yeah, I work with 12-14 year old kids that most people just scratch their heads at. I can tell you that everyday is an adventure. I coach football and baseball (the golf job is a hard one to get), and I also work in the summer at one of the areas golf courses and coach a childrens league there.
  15. I hit the TS2 and TS3 both and have to say out of all the new drivers, these two felt the best to me! They felt solid and receptive! I would love to have them in my bag!
  16. Ahhhh, I get it now. Are you happy with the $20 fee year for the pro version, or do you want more bang for the buck?
  17. I will say what I love about Titleist is the fact that they DON'T release new clubs every 6 months or so like TM and Callaway. Titleist keeps a model for about 2 years. If I go buy any TM product now, it will be old news by August. I think that the snob appeal has started to come down and I feel as if Titleist is trying to go after a younger demographic with their drivers. As stated earlier, I don't see much push for any of the irons, just the balls and driver. I don't even see a push for the wedges.
  18. Yes, Bettinardi worked with Mizuno for a few years, they made mainly anser style putters for them...at least that's all I have ever seen. I too am surprised that these two major companies don't make their own brand of putters. As cutting edge as Cobra is I would like to see what they come up with.
  19. I just use the free version, for those that use the Pro version, when you take a picture of the scorecard, how do you track fairways missed left or right or fairways hit?
  20. This is awesome, I kind of wanted to get a Grint community going.
  21. That seems pretty nice! Realistically, how many rounds would you need to play to win a prize?
  22. I've never used 18 birdies...what would you earn points for?
