  1. Wow, two incredible games, especially the Detroit - San Francisco game. I really feel for Detroit and the Detroit fans. They came oh so close and so far in a short time. Looking forward to the Super Bowl game of Chiefs versus 49ers. Should be epic.
  2. Nice setup Josh. I particularly like the mini construction vehicles.
  3. Indeed it is. Both Banff springs and Jasper Park are Stanley Thompson designs and both rank in the top ten of courses in Canada. Needless to say, the majestic beauty of the Rockies is breathtaking and never grows old.
  4. Another one of my favourites. Just a few photos to tease you about Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper. From one of the trails above Banff springs course and the iconic Banff Springs hotel.
  5. A happy Sunday and good morning to all. It’s a dull, dreary and rainy day, but temperatures still above freezing. A good day for yard cleanup and watching maybe a little football. Both of my huskies curled up in front of the fireplace. Do they know something, I don’t. Have a great day.
  6. There will be small differences in both clubhead/ball speed as well as carry distance of anywhere between 1-4% depending on the unit compared to either Foresight GCquad or Trackman 4. See below from MGS testing. Even between Trackman and GCquad there are subtle differences and this is due to how they measure. GC quad uses infrared object tracking in conjunction with 4 high speed, high resolution camera system and measures at the face of the club, whereas Trackman, measures centre of mass (centre of gravity). This is most notable in the driver where club head speed/ball speed will be less than seen on GCquad by about 1-3 mph, where 1 mph difference equates to about 3 yards.
  7. A good morning to all. Another dull and dreary day here, the sun is still on vacation till next week. Waiting for the espresso to kick in. For your morning funny, when there’s an unexpected delay in the drive through line. I wonder what the moose ordered? Have an awesome day everyone.
  8. It is the new and lovely Cabot St. Lucia designed by Coore and Crenshaw on the northern tip of the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
  9. I look forward to it, would be happy to participate and appreciate the additional content. Thanks for the heads up.
  10. Choice number 2 would be a little off the beaten path and a little closer to home, but still a plane ride away.
  11. Just a “short” little drive for you, but looks well worth it. Excellent choice, even if it involves a long long flight.
  12. Too true and the reality is that a lot of us can’t, but it never hurts to dream. Or the next best thing, play some of these epic courses on a Golf simulator. Not the same to actually playing, but sure can be a lot of fun.
  13. I’m going a little more exotic and down under and not Australia. Heading for Tara Iti in New Zealand. It’s about 90 minutes north of Auckland on the South Pacific Ocean. Who’s coming with me.
  14. Good morning to all and Happy Friday. Sitting here with my morning coffee listening to the pouring rain in January? What’s wrong with this picture. The sun sends her regards, but she has decided to spend a few more days on vacation and will be back sometime next week. She’s having a good time and sent this picture. Have a great Friday.
  15. I really like what Arccos has done with the new link Pro. It addresses many of the short comings of the caddie link. Better microphones, don’t have to worry about it being covered by clothing, can more accurately mark pin locations, significantly longer battery life plus storage charger box, don’t have to worry about clip becoming undone and losing the link on course. Trust me, it happens. My initial reaction, was it’s about time and I clicked on to purchase, my first question was then how much? But here are my concerns. Price at $225 us or $300 Cdn, plus shipping and tax, it costs more than the sensors when I originally bought them and still more expensive than current sensors. Hmmm. I have 2 Caddie links (mine and my wife’s), so I should spend $350 Cdn (with taxes and shipping) and render my old links obsolete for a few added features. Hmmm, hmmm. Plus continue to pay my $155us annual fee, plus most likely a new set of sensors as my current ones are 4 years old and the battery is not replaceable, triple Hmmm Which got me thinking, I really like Arccos and I am a big fan of the data and have 400 rounds of data. If Arccos was smart, they should offer a significant discount for existing link owners. Or am I better off, buying an iWatch instead or do I say nuts to the annual fees and opt for Shotscope, for roughly the same cost of the new Link Pro. Has Arccos, inadvertently opened Pandora’s box by pricing it such that people are now looking at all their option’s. So while a very nice an overdue upgrade, it’s something that should have been in place awhile ago, so my money is staying in my pocket. What are other people’s thoughts?
  16. Date 01/25/2024 Course Name The Golf Club at Bear Dance - Colorado Gross Score 73 Course Handicap 0 Gross Strokes over/under par 1 Net Score to Par 1 Net Score 73 Net Birdies or better 3 Longest Drive 263 SIM Round? SIM I do enjoy mountain and scenic courses. Drove and played well in 3 birdie round.
  17. It seems like the weather gods are vacationing in the islands and have taken the sun with them and left Mr. Rain and his buddy foggy in charge.
  18. Good morning everyone. Currently a dull dreary morning here with fog, but at least it’s above freezing. For your funny of the day, what happens when you drive your ball out of bounds, are compelled to retrieve it and don’t listen to your friend. Enjoy and have a great day.
  19. Lol, now the true reason comes out. Where you can expect brilliant sunshine and/or gale force winds and/or driving rain, and the odd animal or two all in the same day followed perhaps by a pint or two. Envious and enjoy.
  20. Wow, I'm impressed. It takes a special type of dedication to be able to do that. You're like the US postal service, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed (golf) rounds." Thanks for sharing.
  21. Okay, I did not know there was a national compliment day. Therefore, I would like to compliment and commend the MGS staff, moderators, administrators and directors, not to mention the CGO (chief golf officer) for all the fabulous behind the scenes work they do to make MyGolfSpy the success it is. I would also be remiss in not mentioning all the great MGS members for their wonderful contributions, stories, pictures and humour in the various forums. Well done everyone.
  22. Good morning to all. The weather’s slightly above freezing, the yard is now a delicious slushy mess with a fog advisory in effect. More importantly, I have now received my Red Rooster MGS gloves. These are premium gloves with excellent fit, finish and feel. May everyone have a great day stay safe and warm.
